Infiltration of a Human World

It was a cold night but I did not feel a single bit of the chill around me since my body as a pure-blooded vampire he made it where I did not feel weather changes as fast as someone of the human race would have.

I was on my way to the Terran world of Yalluter for my coming of age assignment.

In the culture of different pure-blooded vampire households when someone turned Twenty years of age they would be given a challenging task that differs depending on what role in society your family held.

My family was a group of high classed assassins. In the face of the general public we were just a noble family but behind the scenes only our clients as well as the members of The Undead Council new our true purpose in society.

My name is Jade and as the only child as well as a daughter of my house I have an obligation to fulfill my family's desires in order to increase our reputation of dread and fear throughout the galaxy.

I had on a black T-shirt that was lined with a set of circuitry underneath that would help me blend in more with the humans by hiding my black and red vampire wings that were on my back. My hair was quite long and went halfway down my back. It was smooth and straight.

The ship had only one area with public seating in it and I chose to sit down in one of the areas where no one was located since I wanted to mostly be lost in my own thought as well as prepare myself for the killing that I was about to commit in the name of my family.

The ship was full of life and everyone else was moving around and talking amongst themselves about what they were going to do when they landed on the world below.

"Yeah did you hear about the legendary captain of the ancient cyborg slavery bureaucracy who single-handedly has now destroyed dozens of both human and the Demetra worlds?" One male voice said.

"You mean Captain Drake; sm I right?" Another male voice asked in response to the first one's statement.

"Yes that is who I am speaking of. I also heard that he has teamed up with an insane female cyborg that has no equal when it comes to her speed at killing members of any species. Your thought of those two coming to this world terrifies me. I am so glad that this world is one of the inner core worlds so we are safe from most of the conflict that is currently going on". The first man said again.

"I know what you mean. Either way though in the end only One race Will rain supreme at the end of this war. Power to the Taron Collective and all of the households that rule our worlds". The second male voice said.

I felt irritated at hearing them talk about their internal affairs here since I was not a part of the race; but I thought that it was best to keep out of everything that they said so I did not interject at all.

It took every ounce of self-control that I had to maintain my eyes in their normal state of just looking black because whenever I activated my family's unique form of secondary vision our eyes turned blood red which I thought would cause me to stand out more while I was on this spaceship that was heading towards my target world.

"So what are you going to this planet for?" A young male human who had brown hair and almost black colored eyes as well as a full grown beard and mustache that seem to fit his face perfectly said to me as we were entering the world's atmosphere.

Even though I did not want to talk to this human at all since I always had a habit of focusing on my mission I chose to communicate with him so that my cover would not be blown as a pure-blooded vampire walking into a human world.

"Well I am actually here from an assignment given to me by the house of Tigers to investigate some reports of there being possible Fifth Column activity on this world." I said to him with confidence behind every word.

He looked at me from across the way and then looks satisfied with what I said so that meant that my story successfully worked on him. I am going to have to thank my mother for training me in the arts of manipulation and seduction when I get back home.

"Well I hope that you do not find too much trouble on your mission Miss. I am actually here to visit one of my cousins since he has gone through his Klitron process and ended up being a chef so I am here to help him with the business end of his restaurant that he wants to open".

"Well I hope that you succeed in your endeavors sir". I said as I bowed to him when the ship finally landed and stopped moving.

As the ship finally opened its side door everyone began to pour out like a rush of water out of a bathroom faucet.

"If you are new here to this world get in the left line; if you are here on business and get into the centerline; and finally if you are here for personal business you need to get in the right line!" A guard that was wearing black clothes as well as a set of dark blue armor pieces over key areas for protection.

After he spoke everyone got into their respected lines without any hesitation; so I got in the center line as he requested and waited my turn so that I could finally begin my mission since I wanted to get home and receive my honors as a full-fledged member of society since I had turned sixteen only three days ago.

As I approached the desk that was in front of a barrier that was going to allow me to proceed my felt a tense not in my stomach because the next few words that I said would determine if I was going to be able to complete my original objective or not.

"Task papers please". A bald elderly man said to me that wore a military uniform and had a bunch of badges and stripes on the right side of it which meant he was a man of authority as well as a veteran at war most likely.

I grabbed the papers that were in my pocket and handed it to him without hesitation or making any kind of face at him.

"So you have been brought from the house of Tigris to examine any possible Fifth Column activity in this world." He said to me after looking at the papers and before he grabbed a golden badge that was in one of the drawers of the desk he was sitting and sorting through a large stack of papers.

"Yes that is why I'm here". I said to him.

"The spirit animal of the House of Tigris is...." He said waiting for my response with the golden badge in his hand.

"The spirit animal of the House of Tigris is that of the tiger they are very warrior-like and will not show mercy to those who betray them". I said instantly without even thinking as if it was ingrained in my mind.

"Welcome to the world of Yalluter. With this badge you will gain access to all areas except for those that are restricted for only private meetings with our government officials. Do not abuse the power you have been given and you will be able to return to this world without having to go through this process all over again". He said as he handed me the golden badge and flip a switch on his table which deactivated the ratio that was blocking access to the other sections of this world.

I took the badge and walked through the shield knowing that I was one step closer to fulfilling my objective. Would I be able to fulfill my assignment and return home in one piece to be accepted as a full-fledged member of my household or what I mess up and be a shunned exile for all eternity only time would be able to tell what was going to happen to me.
