Prologue

Deloraine seemed a normal enough town, with two school's one teaching those from Kindergarten to grade 8 and the other teaching high school grades 9-12, a state of the art scientific research facility that also doubled as a university, two military bases, an oil drilling rig and all the other regular necessities needed in a small town.

It was usually quiet unless there was a town fair going on, which happened two or three times a year, then everyone would come out and enjoy the festivities; but other than that, nothing ever really happened here.

A lot of the population has lived in this town since it was founded way back in the 1920s, so the roots and foundation of this town are very old. Those who have not grown up here or have any type of special skill to help add to the betterment of the town, find it very difficult to live here, and for good reason, you can only survive in this town if you are invited, and even then, that's not an invitation many people see. Anyone who is anyone in the world of science and and scientific theory knows of this town and wants to get their hands on the things that they are working on in their labs, but very few are ever given the opportunity.

My dad is one of those few, but it's the Harrison Company that are the lucky ones. My dad is known as an expert in interdimensional space travel, making him extremely valuable and sought after in terms of employment, it was only a matter of time before they called him up and asked him to join their scientific research team.

That was 5 years ago. This is now.
