19 Chapter: 18

Soon leaving the alley, they ran towards the alley Min Jae had gone in. Ye Jun's knee hurt a little, but he ignored it. As soon as they went, they saw Min Jae still fighting with two of the guys with all the energy. Handling two at a single time was indeed difficult. Ye Jun inhaled deeply again.

"You wait right here. We don't need Jackie Chan right now."

Nari looked down in embarrassment and nodded. Ye Jun scoffed.

"Yah, Kim Min Jae!" Ye Jun yelled, grabbing attention and went to fight.

Nari was amazed as to how he was so calm and still joking around in such a serious situation. She had never seen him so serious or frowning. He always smiled, grinned, or scoffed. She wondered how he could be so carefree.

Ye Jun, who went into the fight, could see that Min Jae had defended himself well. He didn't have many injuries, just a small scratch on his forehead. It seemed as if Ye Jun was more at damage than him. But then again, they all were seniors to Ye Jun and still, he had managed to get himself out. Not to mention how Nari knocked the leader out.

The two guys glared at Ye Jun and Min Jae, caught his breath. They approach him together.

"Waah! Are you two best friends?" He mumbled.

He was ready to fight but as he dodged one punched another guy's hard fist hit the bridge of his nose. He held his nose and wondered if this was how Yeong Chul felt too. He looked up and saw one of them approaching him while the other was caught by Min Jae.

Min Jae just dodged all the punches and kicks he saw coming towards him. He could barely fight, but his defence was amazing. And it could be seen.

Ye Jun's nose hurt a lot. The blood froze, turning the bridge of his nose slightly blue. The guy scoffed as he saw Ye Jun shaking his dizziness just after he received a single punch.

Ye Jun scoffed too, "Too early to be satisfied."

Commenting, he ran to his left towards the wall of the alley and gripping the upper end of the wall, he kicked the guy hard on his face, making him fall.

Min Jae, on the other hand, held the hair of the guy he was fighting with and banged it against his knee. The guy went dizzy and before he could stand up, Min Jae stabbed his elbow in his back, making him fall. At last, when his face met the ground, Min Jae stepped aside, knowing one was knocked out.

Ye Jun knew just one kick won't do anything to the guy and so as he stood up, without giving him much chance, Ye Jun punched him one after another thrice. His nose and lips bled and Ye Jun kept punching his face and abdomen until he hit the wall and sat down feeling dizzy.

Nari, who realised that the fight had ended, approached Min Jae.

"Are you alright, senior?" She asked, worried.

Min Jae nodded.

"Yeah, just a little scratch."

Here on the other side, Ye Jun's nose was blood frozen and his lips bled.

"Ye Jun-ah..." Nari kept her hand on his shoulder.

He turned around slightly limping. As he looked at her he smiled.

"Let's go!" He spoke, his voice wasn't very energetic.

Nari nodded with a slight smile

"And," He looked at Min Jae, "No more adventures now."

Min Jae nodded, "I am sorry."

Ye Jun scoffed and shook his head.

"Let's go." He said and started to walk.

Nari looked at him limping and so, she quickly went to help him.

"Is your leg good?" She asked, looking at his knee.

"Earlier, he had kicked you here."

"No, it's fine. It's just that I was injured here a lot in the past so it hurts a little."

"But still, is it alright?"

Ye Jun laughed aloud.

"Why are you being like this? I told you it's scary. Be the rude you, I can digest that better."

Nari smacked his back and he wailed slightly.

"Ah! Sorry, sorry."

And he scoffed again.

"But, the way you went Jackie Chan on that guy earlier in the alley, that was amazing."

Nari looked at him and scratched the back of her neck. Ye Jun scoffed again.

"Why are you so embarrassed? Don't worry, I like fighter girls."

And she rolled her eyes.

"As if I care."

"You should. Am I not handsome?"

He grinned brightly.

"No, not at all." She lied straight on his face.

He gave her an unamazed face and shook his head.

"I wish your choices were good."

She kept quiet and looked in front.

"Seriously?" He slightly tilted his head towards her and whispered.

"You will choose Kim Min Jae over me?"

She glared at him and with a slightly tilted face replied, "Yeah!"

He shook his head and looked in front.

Min Jae, who was walking a bit behind them, looked down. He felt guilty for whatever happened here, it was his fault. Because of him, Ye Jun was hurt badly but he didn't utter a single word. Seeing him with Nari, for the first time, he felt he shouldn't interrupt. He didn't want to know if Ye Jun liked Nari at this moment. He wanted them to be as they were, right now.

Ye Jun and Nari walked together and for the first time, Nari had forgotten Min Jae's silent presence while being with Ye Jun.

Soon her home came and she looked at Ye Jun.

"Come inside, I'll apply ointments on this" She offered.

"Ah! It's alright. Just go inside, it's already late."

Nari nodded and suddenly she realised Min Jae was also there.

"Senior! Do you need to come inside?" She asked politely.

"No, it's alright."

Nari nodded.

She was about to go in when Min Jae said, "But, are you alright?"

Nari looked at him and smiled.

"Yes, don't worry."

Min Jae nodded and she went inside waving goodbye to them. They both waved back at her and she walked inside. They both sighed and suddenly looked at each other. It was going to be another awkward walk again.
