12 The Truth Comes Out

|Blake's POV|

Blake walked around before being summoned by the alpha of the pack Daren.

"Blake, any new news on the neighbours?" He asked.

"No sir, we've been snooping around but we've not gotten any new information after that altercation. Their security has tightened up and we've not been able to penetrate through the border effectively. The only thing we know is that they've got three new members a month after Caleb left" reported Brian confidently.

"That's old news, I need new information on them, strengths and weaknesses that kind of stuff" Daren snapped at him.

"Yes sir, I'll try my best to get more info but what Caleb gave us was stale now. My scouting team has tried using the low count of prey in or territory but got a real beating and narrowly escaped with their heads. I'll look for another way to get in." Blake said with a shaky voice. The tough guy that he showed everyone that he was shriveled away in front of his alpha.

"Well you better. I'll go have a chat with Caleb later. Our plans must go according to plan and finally, we would have this whole forest to ourselves. Now, leave my presence" Daren said with a devilish tone.

Blake lowered his head as he walked past two other pack members that giggled at him. He snarled at them harshly to shut them up as he walked away. The boulder pack were sixteen in number. Four more than the Hamsterly pack and that could prove pivotal in the all out battle they're planning.

Blake gathered up his scout team and the tracking team. Including him, the scouting unit are four and the trackers are also four.

"Alright boys, the boss wants us to get in deeper into our neighbours turf and get more information on them which could help us over throw them and claim the forest" Blake stated to the seven of them.

"Get in deeper? Their security has been tight and it's been hard enough to get within a hundred feet of their border with us yet alone get deeper." The Silver coloured wolf from the altercation with William and the others.

"I know but it could be possible that when they go hunting or have clearly left the area, we can get in and spy on them. One tracking member would pair up with a scout to track and monitor their assigned targets okay?" He asked confidently.

"Yes, it's doable but it's going to be hard" a grey wolf with the standard grey wolf colours spoke up.

"Don't worry. Someday, you'll be looking back at this moment and be glad that you took the challenge" Blake stated as he walked away on the frosted ground of the forest.

"Grey boy, on me. Let's move out" Blake said with a howl after his statement as he ran off with snow clinging to his Blake fur and almost made it sparkle.

The one addressed as grey boy followed closely behind Blake and the others paired up and ran towards the Hamsterly pack border to execute their plan. Caleb on the other hand was with Daren as they discussed plans to over throw his former pack. I'm sure nobody in his former pack would believe that he'll turn to the enemy and go against them. The battle line had been drawn but how long would it take for the Hamsterly pack to realise it.

|Third Person POV|

William on the other hand was trying his best to sneak last his parents even though they started getting suspicious of him. He was able to get out of the house and make a beeline for the forest.

"Where do you think he's always going to?" Janet asked.

"I don't know. It could be a girl's house or the biker ring" Brody suggested as he poured coffee into his cup and sipped it.

"Well if it was the biker ring, he wouldn't come back as late as he does all the time and he would be sweaty. If it was a girl, why hasn't he told us about it" Janet said tapping her fingers on the kitchen counter nervously.

"Yh, that's true. Do you think we should trail him, if it makes you feel better?" Brody suggested as he sipped his coffee leaning on the kitchen sink.

"Yh I think so" she said feeling more assure. She stopped talking the kitchen counter and had a calmer demeanor on his face.

"Alright let's go" Brody exclaimed as he gulped down his coffee and got his car keys.

The two parents were concerned for their son and wanted to know where he was always going to and returning so late at night from. Even though he made it back before or on his curfew time, they were still worried.

************************************

They had trailed William for a while and got closer to the forest.

"What do you think he's going to the forest to do?" Janet asked fearfully.

"I don't know but I hope he's not going to where I think he's going" Brody said with his eyes focused on the road.

They continued driving behind him loosely to make sure that he didn't suspect them. They finally came to a halt right outside the Gatwick household. They looked at eachother with a sign of worry on their face.

"It's been a while since we've paid Eric and Linda a visit. I hope they won't get cold feet" Brody said proceeding to move the car out of the bushes as Janet nodded in agreement.

They parked at the entrance to the house and came out of the car. Everyone inside came out as they were not expecting anybody. Brian and Keisha were the first to come out and survey the male and female that approached them as William bursted through and was shocked at who he found. The others rushed out as Eric and Linda were surprised to see who came.

"Mom, dad?" William exclaimed under his breath. Connor and Brian were close to him and heard what he said.

"Wait, those are your parents?" Connor exclaimed while he whispered.

Before William could reply, Brian tapped the both of them to stop all the fuss. Before William could even say a word, Eric and Linda walked down the steps slowly to meet their old friends.

"At last, the return of the Laire's. Brody, Janet you're welcome. Please come in" Eric said gesturing to the front door.

The two nodded and walked up into the house and William followed behind them closely as his mom pulled his ear. The others except Kent, Mary and Ethan, were shocked that the two legends that they heard of in stories that Eric, Miranda and Linda told them of were in the Gatwick house. Tales of their bravery, heroism and other mind blowing things that the Laire's had done for the pack, they couldn't believe that two of the long line of legends stood in their midst.

"Man, my mind is blown right now" Connor said with a shocked voice.

"You're not the only surprised" Keisha added.

"Who are they?" Kent asked curiously.

"You three are up for a treat. Cozy up and get ready for some legendary takes of those two that walked right past your snout" Miranda replied as the seven of them walked into the house.

************************************

The four of them sat down and talked for about an hour and thirty minutes before finally getting to business.

"I never knew you guys were this close" William stated obviously tired of their trip down memory lane.

"Well, our friendship spans even before you were born" Janet said with a smile as she roughened Will's hair. He angrily shot his head away from his mom's hand and got his hair back in order.

"Yeah, we became friends when were your age" Linda said with a laugh.

"So, now that we're done with the laughs, what brought you back to our little hideout in the forest?" Eric asked curiously.

"Well we were tracking our boy over here and he led us here. So, what did our son do around here?" Brody asked curiously.

"Well, why doesn't he show you" Linda gestured to William.

"I wonder what it could be" Janet wondered as they followed William down the stairs.

He got spaced from them as his parents and Keisha's stood twelve feet away from him while the others except Brian and Ethan stood by the stairs. Brian and Ethan were on patrol, they couldn't leave their territory unguarded as they entertained guests. They went right to the border as that was the where the problems were coming from.

"Okay mom, dad, don't be frightened or anything" William assured his parents. They nodded to signal that they were ready.

William exhaled air nervously from his mouth as he prepared to transform. With the on thought going through his head of what his parents would think, he finally let go and transformed into his wolf form. His parents were a bit startled and moved back when he transformed. He walked up slowly to them as he moved through the snow. They stood firm as their son ploughed through the snow and approached them. His mother mother reached out to him and touched his thick dark grey and black tipped fur feeling the heat that radiated from his body. His father put his hand on his head and rubbed his fur gently, it was truly a touching moment for the family.

"So this is what you've been up to in the forest" his father said calmly as Will raised his head up and looked at the two of them.

"Well this proves one thing for sure, the wolf blood line lives on. Now Brody, let's show him where he go his colours from" Janet said with joy.

"Yes, let's show him" Brody exclaimed happily. The two took three huge steps back before they too transformed into their werewolf states. Brody had a long thick dark silver coat with some black markings with some tips of his fur being black and the usual white underbelly while his mother had grey, black and white fur. She has the same brown marks behind her ears as Will. William was truly the mixture of his parents though he had no silver markings but his black coat tips and colour pattern were based on his fathers.

"So this is where I got my fur from" William said with excitement in his voice.

"Yes little Laire, you got it from us" Brody said nudging his son with his head. He was bigger than his son as both he and Eric clocked in at six feet. Will was bigger than his mom seeing that she was five feet, eight and a half inches.

The three knocked eachother here and there as the other pack members approached the three. Eric tapped Brody's side as his body vibrated but all was short lived as their joy was cut short by the howl of Ethan and Brian.

"That's Ethan and Brian" a worried Will said looking at his parents and Eric.

"What's the situation" his mother asked as the others looked worried.

"The other pack might have come in, that's what they're sayings William said rushed.

"Alright, lead the way" Brody said anxiously.

The Laire family gunned into the forest with William displaying his speed by staying ahead of his parents. Eric ordered the Linda, Connor, Mary, Kent and Keisha to stay behind as they could be using their entry as a diversion to draw than away making them vunrable to an attack. All except Miranda followed him as they trailed the Laire family. William and his parents were soon lined by Brian and Ethan.

"What's the situation?" William asked tensely.

"We spotted three of those boulder heads snooping around the forest since y'all were of duty" Brian said as he tried his best to keep up with William.

"Those bastards, I can still smell their scent. They won't escape so easy this time" William stated as he hit the gas and dusted the rest of them.

William moved swiftly through the snow as the others were a bit behind him and he soon caught up with the three intruders that were gunning for the border. William got behind the one lagging behind and tripped him allowing his mates to beat him up as he leaped in the air and brought down the two ahead. William glanced at the two and recognized one of them as Caleb? He was surprised that he was now walking with the enemy but what could he do. William held his own against the two of them before Brian clamped down on Caleb's head and his father took on the other unnamed wolf while his mom and Ethan made quick work of the other one as his back was to the ground and they booked away at his underbelly. Brody beat the crap out of the other as his experience and strength have him the upper hand in his fight and he quickly flipped his opponent over to finish him off. William and Brian surrounded Caleb and nipped at his exposed flanks overwhelming their former member. All of them rolled through the snow as it clung to their fur. Soon enough, Eric and Miranda arrived causing all the intruders to panic as they were staring death in the face. Lucky for them, Blake ran in with the other scouts and trackers measling the Hamsterly pack members with their numbers of their men and gunned to their turf. Will wanted to give chase to them but his father stopped him.

"We've got them on the run for now but they'll be back Eric said with a bone chilling tone as the boulder pack ran with its tail in between it's legs and leaving their tracks in the snow.

"I never knew we were sharing the forest now. There's a lot of stuff you have to tell me about" Brody said as they clustered together and walked back to the house.

"Yh, I'm glad you guys showed up cuz your experience will really come in handy now" Eric said as he shook his fur to get snow off his back.

"Now that we know that they're coming in more frequently now, we all have to be on red alert. Let's go brief the others" Eric stated before bowling and gunning for the house. The others howled to as they followed their leader back to base.
