Testing out the companions abilities

Ragna was finally at level 20 and acquired a bunch of O.P points. In a matter of days, Ragna nearly annihilated all of the boss looking monsters, as well as some bandits near Cromer City. Now he just needed to wait 12 hours to see what kind of upgrade he would get.

When he returned to the restaurant he was greeted by a hug from Elise, while Reki greeted him with a bow.

"Hey you two, I met a bunch of guys that you beat up. What's that about?" When Reki heard what Ragna said she bowed even deeper.

"I'm sorry if that caused problems master, it's because of me that they came. That group was looking for me I don't know why, but it seems like the second prince is interested in meeting me."

Reki started to explain what she understood about the group, Elise on the other hand kept quiet not correcting Reki.

"Interested in you? Does the second prince know your secret?"

"I don't think so, the cultivation technique I practice is a deeply protected secret. The only ones aside from of my family that know, are you and Elise." When Ragna heard this he started sweating.

"Does that mean the second prince is gay?" Reki waved her hands denying Ragna's accusation.

"I don't think the second prince is gay, I don't think he's interested in me that way. I think he's interested in fighting me..."

When Ragna heard this, he pointed at Reki, "You? Someone is actually interested in fighting you."

Reki started pouting when she heard Ragna's comment. "I don't look like it, but I'm considered a genius cultivator, many of the younger generation would love to exchange some pointers with me."

Ragna looked geniunely shocked at Reki's statement. Ragna didn't know what level a genius should be at. He remembered the three he met back at Astrakane were no big deal... Still Reki was stronger than those three, but the first time he met Reki made Ragna feel she was weak.

Ragna remembered Elise was also considered a genius. While Ragna was thinking about what he believes the level of a genius should be like, he was struck by a brilliant idea. He looked at Reki, then at Elise with a weird grin on his face.

"Hey Reki it seems like the two of us haven't exchange pointers yet. Me and Elise already fought, so how about we do the same."

"But I'm not even close to your level, you'll win no matter what I do." Reki looked at Ragna sullenly.

"It's not a real battle, just a spar. It's so that I can better gauge your strength. Aren't you always the one telling me to teach you things, well isn't this your chance?" When Reki heard Ragna's explanation she clenched her fist, and nodded.

"Okay then, let's do this."

Ragna smiled at Reki's answer. It might sound like Ragna wanted to help Reki, but in truth he just wanted to test his new sword on someone.

"Elise you join in too, and help her."

"Okay Big brother Ragna." Elise was more than happy to do Ragna's request.

The three of them found an empty area outside of the city. The three then readied there swords, Ragna smiled at them confidently, sure of his victory. The two started to feel tense when they saw Ragna's smile. Every time Ragna smiled nothing good ever came out of it.

"Come" Ragna signaled them to attack. Elise was the only one to charge forward, Reki stood still her stance firm. Elise stab came in faster than before, her movements were now even more precise. Ragna gently shifted his center of gravity and dodged.

Right now Ragna's evasive skills have grown leaps and bounds, because of his grandmaster tai chi skills. "How about adding some Qi in your moves?" When Elise heard Ragna approved the use of Qi, an explosive power came out of her sword as she swung backwards. Ragna gently tapped Elise's sword with his own, shifting the power upward. A burst of wind sliced a nearby tree.

Ragna was about to strike Elise, while her form was in a mess, Ragna noticed Reki was already behind him ready to slash down. Ragna ejected one of the side blades to block Reki's incoming attack. Distracted for a moment Ragna tried to hit Reki with his elbow, before she could lower her sword. Seeing this opportunity Elise regained her stance and stabbed at Ragna once more aiming for his shoulders.

Ragna grabbed the side blade that he ejected awhile ago and held it in his left hand, forcefully blocking Reki's downward slash, with the fusion sword in his right hand he redirected Elise attack making her gently pass by him.

Elise seeing her attack redirected lunged onward, taking some distance from Ragna. Reki on the other hand when blocked by Ragna's sword, let go of her own sword. She then tried to strike Ragna with her palm.

Ragna in a rather awkward position after blocking the sword of Reki and redirecting Elise's attack could not evade or block Reki's incoming palm strike. So using his right leg Ragna kicked with all his might, though he wasn't able to hit Reki, he was still able to make her stagger canceling her palm strike.

Ragna then ejected another side blade, while he threw the fusion blade upward, and slashed using the side blade in his right hand. Reki was barely able to dodge with a backstep. Seeing Ragna's open back Elise once again lunged forward, but before she could reach Ragna, the main blade which Ragna threw upward came spiraling down at her.

Elise was once again forced to retreat backward. The two of them acknowledge that they couldn't fight Ragna in close range, decided to slash at him from a distance using their sword Qi at the same time.

Seeing the incoming beams, Ragna surrounded himself with the six swords that made up the fusion sword and stabbed them on the ground.

Ragna used a move he himself invented, not one he got from the system. Using his mana and the six swords as his medium, Ragna made an improvised barrier. He got this idea from Lian Feng who blocked Ragna's Dragon Slave using a barrier made out of his Qi. The sword beams hit the barrier but were unable to penetrate it.

"Ok that was a nice workout." When the two girls heard Ragna they lowered their guards, and without notice their were two Ragna's one for each, that was right in front of them. Reki tried to redirect the incoming attack but was too late and got hit on her belly by the handle of Ragna's sword. Elise on the other hand could've dodged, but decided not to, so that she could feign weakness in front of Reki.

Elise liked Reki, but she decided not to trust her fully just yet. Reki, the man that was actually a woman might somehow bring harm to her beloved future husband, so she decided that she might as well plan to get rid of her just in case. With that in mind she too fell to Ragna's blade.

As she staggered to the ground she started sighing in her mind, 'aw, I wanted to play with big brother some more, but until I'm sure that Reki isn't a bad influence to my interesting big brother, I still need to match up to her level. Well Reki is interesting, so I don't want to discard her just yet, but Big brother Ragna is still the most interesting, so if she ever shows signs of betrayal I'll just take her out.'

While Elise was having evil thoughts, Ragna helped the two girls stand up.

"Well you guys were better at cooperating than I expected. Now I kind of understand why some people might think your geniuses." Ragna said looking at them seriously.

Elise could only sigh hearing Ragna, 'of course compared to you no one can actually claim to be a genius.'

Elise giggled thinking how cute Ragna was acting.
