System just what are you?

Ragna decided to leave Cromer City to search for a place with a lot of powerful monsters, so that he can somehow level up a bit before the Young Dragons Tournament.

But before Ragna and his group left Cromer City, Elise said she wanted to talk to the city lord. After she finished her talk, she was smiling from ear to ear saying the city lord would keep the restaurant safe and clean, until we return.

"I don't really need the restaurant anymore, I just used it to get a bit of money. Right now I got a lot of gold to last for a long time."

"You never know, we might need that restaurant later when we have kids, and one of them wants to be a chef." When Ragna heard Elise, he started to feel a bit uncomfortable. A thirteen year old girl was actually talking to him about having kids. 'It must be normal in this world for people her age to think like that.'

Ragna didn't dare continue the conversation. Reki on the other hand was blushing, from ear to ear seeing this reaction Elise giggled thinking both Ragna and Reki were quite cute. The youngest among the three actually felt like she was the most mature of the bunch.

...

While Ragna and his companions were walking towards the next city to gather information in regards to monsters, Ragna had a sudden thought.

While the system was upgrading, though he could still feel its presence, it had somehow weaken for the moment. Ragna was now sure the system was controlling parts of his thoughts and emotions.

Ragna would've asked in the beginning who made the system or how the system was made, but for some reason every time the question pops into his head it quickly disappears. Now Ragna was wondering, what the purpose of the system was, and why choice him? Was it really just a random coincidence, and why was the system's goal to make him the most overpowered being in existence.

'Is the system created by a God? Or is it a God itself? If I ask the system it most probably wont answer honestly, but that's if I can even ask the system. When the system was active every time I started questioning myself about its origins, the thought quickly leaves me. Also no matter how much I think about it, I know the system must be doing something with my personality. I'm sure I wasn't such a psycho to know how to make someone talk by torturing... Is the system changing my personality, or is it making my true personality surface?...

Damn it! Even though I'm given this time to think, I can't actually get answers. The only thing I'm sure of now, is the system is hiding something, and is pretty much not on my side. It's trying to control me to do something for it, but what? Aaargh, there's nothing I can really do, even in this world, if I don't have the system, I would have died since the beginning.

Wait a minute, didn't I make a move by myself, that makeshift barrier of mana, that wasn't something the system gave me, it was something I made myself. That means I can improve myself without the system, I should've noticed this sooner, the system must have blocked this thought as well.

Fine then I need to improve my skills with my own hard work, not relying on the system. I hope even if the system activates properly again, I can still retain this thought of wanting to improve myself without the system's help.' When Ragna was done thinking he stopped and looked at the two girls.

Elise and Reki looked at him puzzled as to why Ragna stopped walking.

"Hey you two how about we make this trip a bit more interesting."

When the two girls heard Ragna, they had two opposite reactions. Elise was delighted to find out what fun game her big brother Ragna thought of this time. Reki on the other hand felt a bit tired of all this random things Ragna kept on doing.

"What do you want to do Big brother/master?" The two girls spoke in unison.

"I want you two to attack me in any given chance you have. I want you two to hide your presence and surprise attack me. This will be good training for you two." 'As well as mine.'

"Ok then big bro, I'm going to win this game." Elise then ran towards some bushes and disappeared from sight. Reki jumped on some nearby trees and erased her presence as well.

'Ok with this I can train my senses as well.' Ragna continued walking, but this time he used the senses of his level 20 body to the his utmost limit. He used his sense of smell, hearing, and touch. He tried to feel the movement of the wind, he tried to hear the rustling of the leaves, and smell the different sensations of the environment.

With Ragna's level 20 stats, he could even hear the movement of the marching ants on the ground. Still for some reason he couldn't smell or hear Elise and Reki's movements. When he relaxed his guard a little, Ragna felt a shift in the movement of the wind. With this signal Ragna dodged, and upon dodging he saw Elise's hand missing him.

With nimble movements Elise hid behind the bushes once more.

'this is going to be harder than I thought. I couldn't sense her before she got too near. I wonder how do this cultivators sense a hidden presence?... Wait a minute, what was I thinking, using my five senses to find them, don't I have new sense now the sixth sense.'

After some thought Ragna released an enormous burst of mana in the surrounding area. Reki and Elise were shocked by his actions what was Ragna doing releasing such a strong burst of Qi?

'I see... I now know where they are hidden, but doing something like that on a regular basis just to spot someone hiding seems a bit taxing. There must be a way to refine this move, so I can use it all the time, and be subtle about it. Hmm... I guess this is also good practice for controlling my mana.'

The whole trip to the next city was a trial and error game for Ragna and the girls. Ragna was trying to practice using mana to sense the location of Elise, and Reki. The two girls on the other hand were trying their hardest to, make their Qi feel like a part of nature.
