Level 20

A few days have passed since the incident with the Lian Clan, a new City Lord has already been appointed. Ragna fixed his restaurant and gave Reki some books on tai chi and taoism. Once Reki read them she started being engrossed in her own cultivation.

Elise on the other hand also started to seriously practice her swordplay, while Ragna hunted every kind of monster near Cromer City. He would ask the people coming and going out of Cromer City about people being attacked, Bandits, Monsters, unknown beings, anything that Ragna could kill in a righteous way was sought out by him. For Ragna killing evil beings brings both experience points, and O.P points.

Ragna even bought a new sword from the system, the fusion sword. The fusion sword is a set of six swords. The fusion swords come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are thus suited to a variety of combat situations.

The main blade, called First Sword resembles an exaggerated two-handed sword. It consists of a long hilt wrapped in a red material, a large handguard which the other swords lock into, and a wide blade made of two parts, the second one thinner. The main blade is the only sword among the six that is double-sided. The main blade has two forms. In the normal mode the blade is a solid length of metal except for the transition between the wide and thin halves. In battle mode, the blade is pulled in two lengthwise; the edges are locked apart and the sword's complex inner portion is revealed.

The other blades are the, Hallow blade, back blades, and the side blades. The hallow blade is a thick sheet of metal folded in a V-shape when looked from above, the sword's edge being the bottom point of the "V", with the lower third of its length wrapping around a red double-hilt. The hollow blade locks onto the main blade's front edge, covering it, and its own edge serves as the striking point for the assembled sword.

The Back blades are mirrored long swords with one straight edge and one saw-toothed edge, with a long black hilt. They attach to the main blade's sides with the saw-teeth pointed toward the hollow blade.

Finally the Side blades, are identical mirror image dagger-like swords. They are single-edged, with a gear-like mechanism between the hilt and the blade that allows them to fold up like a switchblade. In the folded form the blades lock onto the sides of the assembled sword, with their edges turned toward the main blade at the sword's front. One of the two blades can be quickly ejected from the assembly if needed.

This sword was the sword of Ragna's or more accurately Ren's favorite game character back in his own world.

With the fusion sword at hand, hunting down enemies became a bit more efficient, also a bit enjoyable, because of the many ways to use the sword. Ragna has been experimenting on different combinations on how to use the sword.

Then finally after a dew says of killing random monsters and bandits, Ragna heard the miraculous sound he loves to hear.

'Ding' "Congratulations host for reaching level 20. You can now do a random roll, also the system will be upgraded after the random roll."

'System upgrade? Your going to have an upgrade? What kind of upgrade, what will happen after the upgrade?' Ragna started asking a bunch of questions as he was excited hearing the words upgrade.

"Answering Host... unable to answer host's questions before the upgrade is finished."

'ok then how long will I will wait for you to finish upgrading, and is there anything I need to be wary of while your upgrading, like will I still be able to use my skills?'

"Answering Host... Upgrade will take 24 hours to complete. While upgrading host wont be able to buy anything from the system and the system wont be able to answer any of the hosts inquiries, but all skills, abilities, and items already bought will still be usable."

'I see... If it's just 24 hours, I guess its alright... Then begin the random roll.' Ragna thought of the possible emergencies that might happen, but since the new City Lord knew who he was, and who Elise was, a problem occurring in the city seems less likely nowadays. Still even if something unexpected comes, with Ragna's current level and abilities, as long as it wasn't someone on Lian Feng's level, most threats could be easily solved. So with those things in mind he happily told the system to do his random roll.

'Ding' "Congratulations host random roll prize, All ranged weapon mastery- expert level (All knowledge). Beginning Upgrade..." Once the random roll was over the system immediately upgraded itself.

Ragna on the other hand digested his new skill. All ranged weapon mastery, was a like his sword skills. It was a passive skill that gave him knowledge on how to use all kinds of ranged weapons, on an expert level. Well expert level back in his own world, but compared to the guys here in this world, this level will be just slightly better than the intermediate level.

Ragna was a bit excited and wanted to immediately test out his new skill. He wanted to buy a weapon suitable for this new skill, but was stopped when he remembered that the system was upgrading.

'Hmm... How about I just buy from a weapon shop, just to test out my newfound skill... Nah... I'll just wait for the system upgrade, and buy a cool weapon. What should I buy. a gun? a bow? throwing knives? Now I can do some long range sniping with my new skill.' Ragna was happily contemplating how he could earn O.P points using his long ranged weapon mastery. He was also excited about the system's upgrade. Wondering if the upgrade would mean more chances for leveling up or some more prizes, like the random roll.

After leveling up and gaining an upgrade, Ragna headed back to the restaurant.
