Journey

The following day the thirty four newly initiated disciples plus Ragna gathered at the South Gate. When Ragna arrived almost all the new disciples had their head down. They were afraid of bringing calamity upon themselves. The only people who were directly staring at Ragna were the three geniuses as well as the little girl, who have been appointed as inner disciples. At first Baiyi looked at Ragna with a bit of anger, but when he saw how Freya was looking at Ragna, Baiyi felt an inner rage like no other.

Freya on the other hand looked at Ragna with a complicated expression on her face, she looked at him sternly with a bit of a blush on her face. Ragna was someone she kind of respected, but at the same time she felt a sense of rivalry as well as intrigue.

Leylin looked at Ragna as if he was trying to assess him. The usually talkative playboy was now quiet, and in a rare serious mood.

The little girl upon seeing Ragna skipped towards him, "Hey big brother, my name is Elise Astrakane, nice to meet you Big brother."

Ragna was shocked by the sudden introduction of the little girl, but he wasn't alone everyone was shocked as well, but by a different reason.

"That girl is the daughter of the city lord!"

"That would explain why she's so strong for her age."

"So aside from the three geniuses, we have to contend with the city lord's daughter, and that monster called Ragna..."

Everyone of them was shocked, except for the three geniuses for they already knew who the little girl was.

"Hey Big brother, can I accompany you while on the way to the Heavenly Sword sect?" Ragna was still trying to understand, why this little girl talked to him, but now she made another shocking statement.

Ragna looked at the girl called Elise, who was waiting for his answer. Her adorably large round eyes, looked at him expectantly.

"Whatever kid do what you want, just don't expect me to babysit you."

"Yay! Big brother don't worry I won't be a bother." When she heard Ragna's reply Elise was shocked, and happy by Ragna's answer. She was sure that he would reject her outright, but unexpectedly he allowed her to stay beside him.

When Freya saw this, she felt weird... She felt a bit jealous of the straightforward personality of Elise... 'I don't understand, do I really need to follow father's orders?'

After waiting for an hour or so, the three Elders arrived, and the group headed out. Those who brought horses were asked to leave them in town, the group needed to make the journey on foot. The Elders didn't explain why, but they needed to follow. Also those disciples, who brought a bunch of things, like their valuables, and a supply of food were asked to leave those as well. They needed to travel light, and all they needed were their weapons and a bit of gold, everything else was unnecessary.

Once everyone left their supposed extra baggage, the journey truly began.

One of Elders, started explaining the path they were about to take. First they would need to pass the forest of magical beasts, then head towards the city of Spalding were they would restock their food, and after head straight to the Heavenly Sword sect.

A disciple then asked, "Elder, you said restock our food, but we left all the provisions back at Astrakane. Where is the food that you speak off?"

The Elder smiled, he pointed at the ring in his finger, and out of nowhere a piece of cow meat appeared.

"This is a storage ring, I and the other Elder each have one, this is where we store our food. Any other questions?" The disciples shook their head.

While walking Elise kept on asking Ragna a bunch of questions.

"Hey Big brother, how did you get so strong?"

"Hey Big brother, what's your cultivation realm?"

"Hey Big brother, is that sword of yours a spirit weapon?"

She kept on yapping, and Ragna didn't bother answering her, not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't. All the questions Elise asked was related to the system, which was Ragna's biggest advantage as well as his biggest secret.

"Hey Big brother, can you spar with me, once we get a chance?" Elise's face turned a bit serious when she asked this.

"Fine, I'll do it, if you just shut up for awhile." '

When Elise heard Ragna she beamed, smiling happily. Freya on the other hand was looking at the two, she felt that Ragna was treating the little girl Elise, quite favorably. 'I wonder... Is he a lolicon?' Freya then looked at her on body, and glanced at Elise's... 'Wait why does that matter? Damn it! This is all because of what father said, now I look like a stalker.' While Freya was having her internal dilemma, Baiyi on the other hand notice the slight changes of Freya's expressions, and got angrier by the minute.

He knew if he tried to kill Ragna right now, he would be the one dead instead, but he wanted to kill him so bad right now. That was when Baiyi remembered this was the Forest of Magical Beasts, though they haven't spotted any yet, but this forest was full of Magical Beasts. This Magical Beasts were ferocious animals who can cultivate in their own special way. At some point a Magical Beast is bound to attack, Baiyi might be able to somehow get Ragna injured. Once this thought came into his mind, Baiyi chuckled at how foolishly he was thinking. The boy called Ragna was estimated to be at the Transcending Mortality realm, even if they were attacked and Baiyi manages to distract Ragna a little, he would still be fine. If an enemy Ragna can't appears that would mean their whole group will die as well.

Baiyi laughed at himself, allowing his momentary anger to cloud his mind, was simply foolish. 'Don't worry Ragna I won't try to kill you now, but once the chance comes, I will surely kill you with my own hands.'
