I wont believe it, show me another

The sword Ragna summoned was the beloved sword of one of the best characters in a VN he played back in the day. The sword was called Caliburn the 'Golden sword of the victorious' it looked as magnificent as he remembered. The game sprites did no justice to it, holding it in real life made it feel especially magical.

Kei looked at Caliburn and felt that his defeat was inevitable.

"So how do we see which one is better?" Ragna asked while pointing Caliburn at Kei.

"How about we let this people judge. They're one of the top blacksmiths in the whole Archeon Empire." Kei pointed at the Elders of the Burning Flame Sect. When the people of the Immortal Cauldron Sect saw this, they felt that the sect leader of the Burning Flame Sect was such a shameless person.

Huifen on the other hand seeing the sword Caliburn and Kei's suggestion of making the Elders of his own sect be the judge made her more confident of Ragna's victory.

"No need to do that, we just need to do this." Ragna slashed down Caliburn and a golden beam of Qi hit the Arctic Death, due to the force of the golden Qi, Kei was forced to let go of his weapon. Upon contact with the golden Qi, Arctic Death tried to resist with its own Qi but it was to no avail. The golden Qi enveloped Arctic Death and inevitably broke it.

Seeing an Emperor Rank weapon broken just like that, made everyone's hearts beat faster. They looked dumbly at Ragna and the sword he was holding. 'Could you be anymore dramatic than that? You just made that sword out of nowhere and now you used it to break an Emperor Rank weapon.'

Kei looked at the broken Arctic Death and felt a chill down his spine. If he didn't let go of Arctic Death and tried resisting the golden Qi he might've been gravely injured or worse he could've died.

He couldn't understand what that golden Qi was... Kei was looking at Ragna when he did that move, the Qi Ragna provided was minimal it even seem like the Qi was forced away from him, it felt like the sword itself produced the golden Qi.

The Elders as well as the disciples gulped dryly. They thought that their sect leader would win hands down, they were even insulting Ragna in their heads... But what was this result, their sect leader's best weapon was destroyed by a sword casually made by this spiky haired youth.

"See that! Your weapon was so weak, I just casually swing the worst weapon I can make and this was the result." After saying that one line, Ragna's Caliburn evaporated into nothing.

When everyone saw what happened to the sword they were confused. 'Was that really the worst sword he could make?'

Ragna sighed "See that, it broke again. (sigh) This really is too weak... Anyway, so that means I win right?"

When Kei heard Ragna's word he returned to his senses. He looked at Ragna in an almost crazed manner. Not only was his best work destroyed, but even his sect was about to be taken from him. He gritted his teeth and started thinking as fast as he could... Then out of nowhere the frantic Kei, had a crazed smile on his face.

"You're trying to cheat me aren't you Ragna?"

"What do you mean cheat you? I did everything fair and square." Ragna frowned at Kei's accusations. The people from the Immortal Cauldron Sect were also frowning, not only did the sect leader of the Burning Flame Sect, tried to at first make his Elders judge the competition, but when he lost he actually said Ragna cheated. Whatever happened to the dignity of a sect leader? It was obvious to everyone that Ragna didn't cheat, cause everyone was looking at him when he made the sword. With all eyes on him, how could he even think of cheating.

"Both our swords broke, so that means it was a tie. Since the beginning you told me, no you told everyone that was the worse sword you could make, but the truth is that was best sword you could make... Aren't I right? You just want to confuse everyone and claim that was the weakest, so that when we're tied like we are now, you'll be able to win." When Kei made his assumptions known, everyone started thinking, what Kei said wasn't just some ramblings of a loser he did have a point.

The people of the Burning Flame Sect had a much grander reaction, they looked at Ragna angrily believing every word their Sect Leader said. 'That does make sense how could our sect leader lose just like that, he must have tried to trick everyone.'

Ragna looked at the frantic Kei and sighed. "Ok then, how do you propose we settle this then?"

"Either you show me a better weapon, or just accept its a tie, and let's just forget about this bet." Kei smiled, that was his only way out of this bet now. If they acknowledge what Ragna said was the truth and that was the worse weapon he could make, then he would undoubtedly lose. Yet now he was able to convince everyone even himself that Ragna was lying.

"Ok then I will show you a better weapon." When Kei heard those words, he smiled turned into a frown, and he creased his brow.

"Stop lying already, just admit that it was a tie." Kei said trying his hardest to believe in what he just said, yet deep down he knew the truth but desperately didn't want to believe it.

"Whatever I'll just show you." Ragna extended his hand and once again Qi was gathering at the tip of his hands..
