1 A Mysterious Entity

On a moonlit night, there was a person who was resting under a huge tree, sitting on a bench, drinking alcohol and appreciating the night sky. When suddenly a huge sound came from behind.

*thud*

A person, a girl perhaps who just crossed a wall was running towards the huge tree with a box in her hand. Sounds of people chasing after her could be heard easily.

Hurriedly the girl ran behind the tree to catch her breath, where she suddenly jumps back because of the silhouette of a guy drinking alcohol.

[*gasp* Who is this person!? How did I not notice him until I saw him? He can't be normal. Is he also one of my pursuers?]

The girl thought. And slowly started to fall back.

["You need not be scared. O young one, I shan't harm you."]

Said the man drinking the final sip of his cup.

["But you have something that I want."]

The man looked at her with his blue eyes which glowed like jewels in the moonlight.

[Something he wants? Is he probably referring to the box I am holding in my hand!?]

Thought the girl, clenching the box more tightly.

["Ha! No need to be so tensed young one. You and I share the same objective as such, there is no need for me to take anything from you. Be at ease."]

Said the young man with a gentle laugh.

[Share the same objective he says? He seriously expects me to believe a total stranger when I am being chased by this many people? Hah! don't make me laugh]

Thought the girl, taking an aggressive stance

["Why should I believe a total stranger? Who do you think you are? Talking like that thinking you are above othe-"]

Some people approached the tree, which made the girl stop speaking.

["Worry not, these people can't do anything in my presence."]

Said the man with a slight grin on his face.

Suddenly the men approaching them fainted and fell to the ground.

["You can escape now."]

Said the man, who was now behind the fallen people.

[I didn't even see what he did there. How did he do that? No! he did that before too I didn't sense his presence. There is something more to him than meets the eye. I must exercise caution.]

Thought the girl while focusing on him.

["I am extremely thankful for your help. What might your name be, Young sir?]

Said the girl, slightly bowing down.

["Oh! Didn't you know that before asking someone else's name you should first introduce yourself?"]

Said the man slightly tilting his face.

["Ah! My apologies. Where are my manners? I am called Adina"]

["Adina....that's a good name. You shall call me Winter"]

[Winter...what a strange name. It's probably an alias of his]

The girl started to become more suspicious of him.

["You probably won't believe anything I say before I show you this..."]

The man proceeds to show her an insignia of a man pointing his sword at the sun.

[That's...how does he have that!? I remember that insignia, my father once showed it to me...]

{"What's this insignia for dad?"}

{"That insignia... it's very special for our family. If you ever encounter a person who carries it you must follow his commands without hesitation. Our family head also carries an insignia similar to that."}

{"You mean that our family insignia which represents three people bowing to one figure is connected to that insignia?"}

{"Yes my dear. And remember to always obey the person who shows you this.}

{"Even if they told me to do bad things?"}

{"Haha! You can be the judge of that if that ever happens."}

[Dad....]

After reminiscing about her past she grieves a little.

[Three people bowing to one person. I always thought that it represents bowing to God. After all that transpired, I don't think we bow to God. There's more to it than meets the eye. For now, I should follow my dad's advice.]

The girl pondered about it for some time and made a decision.

["Since you carry that insignia I shall be at your command"]

Said the girl bowing down.

[I should go with the flow now. My information is very limited.]

["Still suspicious are we, I don't blame you after all it was my fault that you are in this predicament."]

The girl slightly flinches.

["Go East from here you should arrive at a ship dock. There you shall meet my men which will take you to meet your clansmen."]

Saying this the silhouette of the man disappears in the mist.

["We shall meet again. O young one."]

["Gone....just like that."]

Said the girl looking at a distance.

[He did say we will meet again, so it's best to not think about it right now. But I will remember this.]
