Michael Monroe: Damn it!

Michael becomes frustrated as the bolt of the engine he is working on refuses to come loose as he tosses the wrench into the tool box and grabbing a more bigger one. Working in his own auto shop titled, "Monroe Auto Shop" Michael works to repair an engine on a client's vehicle along with many others currently in the shop.

Sharon, front desk clerk: Hey, Michael? Phone call.

Michael Monroe: Can you take it for me, Sharon? A little busy at the moment.

Manny, the mechanic: Hey, boss? Having a difficult time with this one.

Michael stops what he is doing and goes to assist Manny with the issue.

Michael Monroe: Using the smaller size. Try this one.

Michael hands him a more fit wrench for the lug nuts. Continuing to work the sudden sound of a police siren causes him to jump and drop his tool.

Trevor Monroe: Been pulling that prank on you for years and still you get jumpy.

Michael turns around to see his older brother, Trevor in his police uniform approach him.

Trevor Monroe: What time are you done here?

Michael Monroe: As soon as I figure out what the hell is wrong with this damn engine.

Trevor Monroe: Me and the guys are going out tonight if you are interested in joining us.

Michael Monroe: Sounds like a wonderful time, but I have no clue what time I will be done here or when I will even get out. Got a shit ton of clients lined up.

Michael tells him as Trevor takes the wrench and, with ease, finds and fixes the problem with the engine.

Trevor Monroe: Start it up.

Michael cranks up the engine and it starts up with no setback.

Trevor Monroe: You're a hell of a mechanic, Mike. But sometimes you work too hard to focus.

Trevor smiles at him placing the tool in the tool box.

Michael Monroe: I appreciate the invite, but an old friend has a cage fight tonight and I promised him I would be there.

Trevor Monroe: No worries. There's other nights. Gotta run. Be safe out there.

Trevor goes back to his car and speeding away to respond to an emergency after dispatch calls it in.

Michael Monroe: You too, brother. You too. Manny? Start wrapping it up. We are closed in twenty.

Michael unzips his suit as he begins to clean up the tools and goes to return the car to one of his clients.

Haunted by a tragic past, Michael was only eight years old when both of his parents were killed in a drunk driving accident and ever since then, him and Trevor are all they have left of their family. While Michael has a short temper, he proudly served in the Ranger NAVY Seals for over eleven years, but was discharged and started working as a mechanic, while Trevor went to the academy and became a police officer for Crystal City. Unlike Trevor, most of the officers in the department are corrupted by crime and drug lord Roman Galloway, who is the richest man in the city and leads all drug trades, prostitution and human trafficking along the southern coast. The most feared man in all of Crystal City and nobody dares to even breathe his name in the same sentence or they would be executed. Trevor, however, refuses to cave in and fall in line and uses his badge of authority to find anything to use against him and bring him down.
