2 Awakening

Hisen frowned as he read through the report he had received about the boy.

It said that he hadn't needed any external attention since the boy's body had regenerated.

But not knowing if he was still wounded below the skin, the medics used the mystical palm on him anyway.

He was about to read the next page when one of the jonin guarding the boy's room ran in.

"Hisen-sama, the boy has woken, but it doesn't look good."

Jumping up, Hisen nodded and rushed out of the room.

Slamming the door open, Hisen rushed into the room.

His eyes widened as he saw the boy effortlessly holding onto Fu.

A frown creased his forehead and as he saw the boy's milky white eyes.

"Where am I?" the boy asked the room in general.

Stepping next to Hisen the jonin who stayed in the room lent closer, "He's been constantly asking us questions.

First, he asked who we were and after we answered him he started asking us where he was."

Hisen nodded and extending his hands, stepped forward.

Fu cried out in pain and Hisen stopped as the boy glared at him, "Who are you?"

"My name's Hisen, I'm the leader of Takigakure," he said, raising his hands to head level.

The boy loosened his grip on Fu's wrist but still didn't let go, "Where am I?"

Hisen smiled and taking a step forward, answered, "You're in Takigakure, the village hidden in the waterfall."

The boy frowned and looked down, a troubled look on his face.

Taking another step forward Hisen extended his arm to pull Fu out of the boy's grasp.

But just as his fingers brushed the young Kunoichi's arm, the boy's eyes locked onto him, a fierce look in his eyes.

Hisen thought that the child would break Fu's wrist or something like that but instead, his eyes softened and he slowly released the ten-year-old girl.

The village head sighed in relief and crouched down next to Fu, "Are you alright?"

She nodded and nervously stood up, clutching her wrist.

Sighing again, Hisen turned to the boy, "Now that I've answered your questions, you answer mine."

The boy's eyes narrowed but he nodded anyway.

"Who are you?" Hisen asked curiously.

"My name is Rinshiki Otsutsuki."

Hisen nodded, "And where are you from, Rinshiki-Kun."

The boy frowned and looked down, "I can't remember."

The village head nodded, "Is there anything that you remember from before you woke up?"

Rinshiki shook his head, "No"

A sigh escaped Hisen's mouth and he stood up, "Alright, then I'll let you get some more rest.

If you need anything just ask the guards behind the door.

***

Rinshiki groaned and sat up.

He was slowly growing bored of circulating his chakra throughout his body.

So moving off the bed he was lying on, Rinshiki walked over to the open window and looked outside.

His eyes widened as he was greeted by an alien view.

A small town stretched out before him, it covered a broad swath of land that reached the waterfront from where a bridge led to the other side of the lake.

His mouth hung open at the beauty of the scene, it was unlike anything he had ever seen.

Deciding to explore the small town, Rinshiki clambered over the window cill and looking down, dropped the few dozen meters to the street below.

Landing with a solid thump, he brushed his fingers through his untidy hair only to be stopped by his small pointy horns.

A few people were staring at him now, and noticing that they all lacked horns, he decided to cover them.

Giving the people a deadpan stare, he waited for them to look away before walking towards the waterfront.

It took him some time to reach it but when he did, Rinshiki was glad that he had put in the time.

Looking off towards a large cluster of rocks he spotted a lone figure huddled among them.

He frowned and activating his Byakugan, he tried to see the person clearly.

It was the girl from earlier, the one he had grabbed hold of.

He chuckled and decided to talk to her walked towards the rock formation.

As he sat down next to her the girl let out a yelp and shuffled a bit away.

"What do you want?"

She asked angrily, a knife in her hand.

Rinshiki smiled, "I just want to talk."

The girl's eyes narrowed but lowered the knife all the same.

Extending a hand Rinshiki smiled, "I am Rinshiki."

The girl grinned back, "And I'm Fu."
