15 Chapter#15: Medora moves in

Jenifer got out from the bed. She went downstairs to the kitchen to drink some water. She turned on the light, got the bottle and drank some water. She put the bottle back and turned off the light. She was coming back towards the room when she heard a click from behind; she turned around and found that the light was on. She went back to the kitchen and turned off the light. She was about to go back to her room when she heard another click. The light was on again. She got petrified.

"Is anyone there?" she yelled but no one answered. She went back to the kitchen and turned off the light but instead of turning off, the light started to blink. She looked at the bulb with the eyes which were more than scared. She thought that something was not right. She quickly turned around to run back to her room. The girl from her dreams was standing so close to her, she looked dreadful. Her long sooty hair were all messed up and she had a cracked face with horrible eyes filled with blood which was dripping on her dry grey cheeks.

Jenifer could feel her breath. Jenifer was unable to move. Her body was shivering to death. The girl screamed horribly. Jenifer also screamed and cried, and suddenly fell down from the bed.

"It's morning already but I…uhhh another nightmare!" she woke up beside her bed on the floor.

The whole day went busy. Jenifer and jack had to write the story what Medora had told them. They recorded everything she said and wrote the exact words. They also had to get the pictures of that house but some questions were left unanswered. They went here and there to ask people about that house. Different people had different views about the house. Some said that the house was possessed by demons and some told that the witch had cursed the house. Some people were fearful of telling anything because they thought that if they would tell anything then the witch would abandon them with children.

Jenifer and Jack could not get the answers and the information which they needed. They both were tired. They decided to visit the house the next day. Jenifer came back home from work and after a log hard day, she was exhausted. The door for her was opened by Medora.

"Medora!" Jenifer got shocked and her eyes stuck opened.

"I thought to move on; I mean I can't live in this world alone on my own." Medora uttered.

"But when did you come?" Jenifer asked in excitement.

"An hour ago, your Mom's a nice lady. We were just sitting and talking with a cup of coffee." told Medora.

"Jen you're back, meet Medora." joined Della.

"We're friends Mom." smirked Jenifer.

"When I saw her at first, I thought it was you." giggled Della.

"We both were also shocked to see each other." Medora smiled.

Jenifer showed Medora the house. She was happy because Medora was now living with her. Jenifer and Della both like Medora. John arrived home. He went white to see Medora. He had no expression on his face.

"It's nice to meet you Sir." uttered Medora. John only gave her a smile and went to his room.

"Who's that girl?" John asked from Della.

"Her name is Medora. She's a friend of Jenifer." told Della.

"But what is she doing here?" inquired John.

"Her aunt died years ago and there's no on of her. She lives alone. Jenifer invited her to live with us. She'll just be living here till Jenifer finds a good apartment close to the house. They both will leave soon." spoke Della.

"We can't let anyone come to our house and start living with us."

"She's a nice girl. I've talked to her and besides, she looks like our daughter."

Meanwhile, Medora taught Jenifer how to bake a cake. The cake looked delicious. It tasted as if it was filled with chocolate lava. Its appearance could awake anyone's taste buds. It tasted like a thousands of chocolates mixed in bread. Everyone loved it.

Medora told that Jenifer made the cake because Medora was only guiding her. She also told that the main ingredient is love which makes it tastier.

At night, Medora and Jenifer talked a lot. Medora was in complete trust. Jenifer told about her life, her friends and her work. She tried her best to keep Medora happy and kick out her dreadful past from her memories. Jenifer told about all what was happening with her.

"I think that there's a beautiful secret behind our faces." expressed Jenifer.

"What if it's horrible?" Medora spoke out.

"We can't be sure about something we don't know but the thing that's killing me is that why am I having the nightmare. I mean I don't even know the house nor I've ever went there so how is that connected to me?" exclaimed Jenifer.

"What if the secret is being relieved by you? The things which are hidden, which nobody knows are being exposed by you."

"But why me?"

"I think that's because of our faces. Don't you want to know all the hidden things?"

"The hidden things are best kept hidden. I can't say anything about that." sighed Jenifer.

"There are many ups and downs in our lives. We used to be a happy family. One which is called the happiest in true words but a single moment changed my life. It dragged me into darkness. Be thankful to what you're having."
