12 Chapter#12: I'm sick

It was a little strange that Jenifer couldn't sleep. She moved here and there read some comics, played games on her phone and tried to sleep but could not. "I guess I'm thinking too much about Medora." she thought.

She was laying on her bed when Kate and Dalton rushed to her. They looked petrified.

"Jen, there's the girl from our dreams. She's outside and she's screaming loudly." they both looked scared.

"How's this possible. You both must be dreaming." exclaimed Jenifer.

"Have a look outside for once." cried Dalton.

Jenifer got up from the bed and peeped outside the window. She was shocked up to see that girl was actually there. It was not her dream, she thought, then how can she see her for real. Was that girl a witch who is playing with three of the siblings?

"Why are you here?" yelled Jenifer.

The girl stopped screaming and she started staring at Jenifer. She looked horrible. Jenifer felt an air of horror get inside her.

"What do you want from us?" Jenifer cried out loudly.

"REVENGE" some voices came from behind Jenifer. The voices were repeating themselves. Jenifer turned around. It was the most dreadful moment for her. What she saw was not bearable for her. Dalton and Kate were holding their heads in their hands and crying out the word "REVENGE".

Jenifer screamed and went to her bed and covered herself with the blanket. "This is a dream, this is a dream. Wake up Jen." She said to herself. She started to sweat. The voices suddenly disappeared. Jenifer pulled off the blanket from her face. The rays of sun were coming inside the room. "It's morning already, but I didn't sleep the whole night." She said to herself. She found the window opened and she remembered when she rushed back to the bed she left it opened. She was caught up in what she saw was a dream or not. It was a quarter to one when she looked at the time. She rushed downstairs. Della was in the living room.

"Mom I'm late for work. Why didn't you wake me up?" inquired Jenifer.

"I came to your room when I found that you were not yet her for breakfast. I was going to wake you up but you were burning." told Della.

"Was I sleeping?" asked Jenifer.

"Yes and you had severe fever." told Della.

"But I didn't sleep the whole night." Jenifer exclaimed.

"Darling you're sick and tired, go get some rest. I'll bring the breakfast to your room."

"But I have to go to work. I can't miss a single day."

"Jack came here, he was asking about you."

"What did you tell?"

"I told him that you were ill and you need to have some rest so he said that you can rest as long as you want until you are fine and he also asked you not to take much stress of work on your head and shoulders."

"But mom I…"

"I wanna hear no buts. Go to your room and have some rest. I'm bringing your breakfast up there."

Jenifer with a sad and tying face went to her room. She sat in her bed. She didn't know what she saw was real or was it a dream. She could only remember that she was awake the whole night. Her thoughts were killing her from inside.

Della brought the breakfast and checked Jenifer if she was having fever or not. Jenifer was burning. Della made her finish her breakfast and then she called the doctor.

Meanwhile when Jenifer was alone in her room and couldn't sleep, she thought to call her best friend Lauran. Jenifer and Lauran were good friends from grade sixth. They were always together. Both of them were more like sisters. From the day Jenifer came back home, she never got time to tell Lauran that she was here. She called her today.

"Hey Lauran!" Jenifer called Lauran.

"Hey Jen! It's your call after a long time. Seems like you've been busy in work."

"You can take it that way."

"So, how are you?"

"I'm not good."

"Not good…Why? Is everything alright?"

"Lauran I don't know how to tell."

"Should I come meet you?"

"I'm home these days."

"For holidays?"

"No in case of work."

"When did you come?"

"It's been almost a week."

"Why didn't you tell me that you're here? Wait on I'm coming."

"I never had time to tell. I'm in much trouble."

"Jenifer, keep calm. I'll be at your home in twenty."

"Yeah okay good bye." Jenifer hung up.

Jenifer was sleepy but she couldn't sleep. Everything happening to her was strange and creepy.
