3 Phoenix Force

August 3, 2011 - Danger Room

Anthony wore overalls with a kind of weight on his chest, wrists, ankles and back. Around him Kurt, Bobby, Scott Summers, Jean Gray, Spyke, Rogue, Kitty and Spyke were battling fast robots that shot Lasers.

The age of the Mutants at that time were:

Jean Gray and Scott Summers: 15 years

Rogue, Kurt and Spyke: 12 years

Kitty and Bobby: 11 years old.

Antony: 12 years old.

Anthony's difficulty was a little greater than the others, given that Logan forced him to use these weights that amounted to twenty tons on each member. His movements were slow and that was an opening for anyone who attacked him. Jean provided cover while the others tried to attack. Anthony was not comfortable with the rest of the team and felt distant from the others and Xavier.

"Time to test this." Anthony thought when he barely managed to dodge a laser. Closing his eyes, Anthony thought of a force field around him, like some kind of invisible dome. The lasers started to be blocked by this invisible force while Anthony continued walking normally.

"It worked! Maybe it's time to get this over with. " Anthony thought. Raising his hands, the young man crushed all the robots with his mind, while a large metal ball formed with their bodies. Scott looked at Anthony angrily.

"Anthony what the hell is this ?! We had agreed that you would only defend while giving the opportunity for others to train ". Scott snarled

"Honestly, you are weak. You aim to incapacitate your opponents and avoid fatal attacks even on robots. The day the real world knocks on the Institute's door, if you and the others continue like this, they will all be killed. " Anthony said.

Scott started walking towards Anthony but the force field stopped his passage.

"Your powers have improved again." Jean said with a smile.

"But your mood is still bad." Kurt said.

"Decide right away if you are with us or not Anthony." Scott said angrily as he turned to the exit.

Anthony watched the boy leave the danger room angrily while the rest of the group stood and stunned. Jean approached Anthony to give a few words of comfort when Anthony interrupted her.

"Anthony, Scott didn't mean it ..." Jean tried to calm the mood.

" He's right. Maybe it's time to get out of here, I should talk to the Professor. " Said Anthony as he started to levitate his body towards the exit.

In recent years, Anthony's mental powers have proven to have infinite possibilities. Since the discovery of the force field, flying with the support of telekinesis and even its fearsome telepathy and telekinesis had reached powerful levels. Anthony wondered if he could be able to teleport one day, his mind control however was still weak because Professor X did not allow him to test on ordinary humans, and perhaps it was the best time to leave.

"The question is, should I absorb the energy of Jean's Phoenix Force? Will this awaken the Phoenix, or will I gain some kind of power? If I do it it has to be with Xavier's approval or without the knowledge of the rest of the X-men otherwise I will have them irritating me for a long time. " Anthony thought as he headed for Professor X's office.

"Anthony, I already imagined that you would come. The training moods were not good at all… "Professor X said as he sipped a cup of coffee.

"I'm leaving school Professor, I appreciate everything you did for me, but today the school is limiting me". Anthony said solemnly.

"Anthony, the path your father decided to build, you don't have to follow him ..." Charles started to argue.

"My last name is Fisk, and I will honor my father's wishes. Are you going to say that you didn't try to limit me while preventing my powers from expanding? "Anthony gave him a cold look.

"Anthony, with all the power comes a responsibility, I just don't think you're ready to take it." Charles said.

"The same blind responsibility that you gave Jean Gray and Scott Summers? I saw what's inside Jean Professor. That entity is very powerful and you are a fool if you think you can contain it. " Anthony said looking at Charles in shock.

" Did you see?" Charles's eyes were solemn. That information could not leak in any way. Charles knew that the young man in front of him would one day become the most powerful telepath in the world, surpassing himself and even Jean.

"I believe that maybe I can fix the entity within it, and while it is inactive it is the best time for that. The barrier you created is fragile and has been eroding, you may have noticed. The day Jean has an emotional thud she will dismantle and the hidden power she could have had a chance to control will be rampant. " Anthony said.

Anthony's plan was to have Professor X's endorsement to contact the Phoenix. Anthony believed in the possibility of him absorbing his own entity instead of Jean's vital energy. Life goes beyond the physical structure but also the soul, which is why he was so confident.

"Can I know how you would do that?" Charles asked.

"I have the power to manipulate life. I can absorb the vital energy of everything I touch if I want to and life goes beyond the organic and physical structure but also the soul. Stay calm, I don't want to hurt Jean, but I believe that I may be able to absorb that entity. " Anthony explained

"Well ... Jean, come to my office". He ordered the teacher.

Jean entered the room and sat on the chair as the teacher asked. It was routine for her to have her mind checked, so there wasn't much discussion. Jean quickly fell asleep.

"I hope you know what you are doing." Charles said.

"If what I was going to do was harmful to the future, the Ancient One would appear, right?" Anthony looked to the side where an elderly, bald woman stepped out of a portal.

" Who are you?" Professor X asked.

"Relax Professor, she is one of the good girls." Anthony laughed. the Ancient One frowned.

"It is not easy for someone to know my name. Are you aware of the power with which will engage, Anthony ? " The Ancient One said.

"Yes, and I believe that the fact that you are here and not attacking me means that the odds are very good to succeed, am I wrong?" Anthony asked.

"There are dangers that this world will need to overcome, and there is a lack of a being strong enough to protect it. Even I can't be enough, however if you absorb part of the Phoenix Force, you will have that potential. However, whether you will be the protector or enemy of humanity is something that even I cannot see. " The Ancient One said.

"So you are the secret protector of our world, this is interesting." Charles said perplexed as he sipped his tea.

"The Phoenix Force cannot be destroyed, but with its bases I believe you can seal it and absorb some of its power." Said The Ancient One to Anthony.

Anthony took Jean's hands and the old woman beside him with Xavier. Immediately the three were transported into Jean's consciousness. Anthony, Xavier and The Ancient One floated through space until they found a Giant Phoenix chained to a moon. The Phoenix looked asleep while Jean slept below her.

Anthony quickly approached the Phoenix and touched his wing, the heat was unbearable. The Phoenix woke up immediately and gave a shriek. Little by little the energy of the Phoenix was being absorbed into Anthony's eyes, which became increasingly red. The ancient One made hand signals and created a seal that would help Anthony absorb that energy.

"This power is incredible." Xavier was sweating as he watched everything from a safe distance.

"It is more than I can absorb. I already absorved and converted 1/10 of its energy and I feel that if I try harder I will explode ". Anthony said to The Ancient One.

"Take a deep breath and try to send Phoenix Force energy to feed your muscles and bones. If the energy is too much, release it on one of these items. You do not need to absorb it entirely. Attack your core and the rest of the energy will be just your fragments,. It's already amazing that you can absorb that amount of power. " Said The Ancient One holding a bow and sword.

Anthony began to release the energy he had taken from the bow and sword that The Ancient One held. The bow had a change and its string became pure fire while the bow became a metal with the coat of arms of a Phoenix. the sword became elegant with a phoenix in its hilt and it looked like something was stuck in it.

After 5 hours Anthony was able to absorb the rest of the nucleus in himself. 80% of the Phoenix Force's energy was wasted. It was impossible for a mere mortal to have all that power.

The Ancient One created hundreds of seals that closed off the rest of the energy that was in Jean. That remaining energy from Jean slowly gathered and became a red egg. The egg immediately teleported to an unknown destination. Anthony felt powerful, much more powerful than before. The Ancient One, who was wearing his clothes tattered due to the heat, approached Anthony.

"Phoenix Force will maximize its powers, Anthony. It is not like the power of the original Phonix but it is still amazing. I believe that if you manage to reach the limits of your powers in terms of control, one day you may even touch the web of reality. " The Ancient One smiled.

Charles was holding Jean who had a much better face than before, the Phoenix Force was forcing his mind to a level that was slowly destroying his consciousness and that intervention was a good thing. The Phoenix Force was gone from Jean Gray's body forever.

"Where did the egg go?" Anthony asked.

"To a place where the egg will sleep for the next hundreds of years before hatching and choosing a new user. Congratulations Anthony Fisk, you have acquired great power and without much cost. I believe that these items are rightfully yours, they will only work with your power anyway. " The Ancient One said handing the sword and bow to Anthony.

"They are beautiful weapons, I will call them the Cosmic Bow and Sword of Will. Cliche but good names. " Said Anthony.

"It's time to get back to the real world. For safety Anthony, before you leave, test your powers at the Institute. " Xavier sighed, he knew he had failed as a teacher and tried to limit Anthony's progress.

"Take that as a reward, Anthony. It's called a Galmore Belt, and it will help store your items in a dimensional space. " Said the old woman.

"All of this that happened today, were incredible and scary experiences". Said Xavier

"Thank you The Ancient One." Said Anthony as he left Jean's mind.
