5 First Step

"Alright everybody, we will be sending in a group of ten in every day in the morning. Today we shall send our first group out to scout out the newly developed world. As this is the first group to descend, me and the members of the inner court decided to send 20 of our disciples. This is a glorious opportunity and I hope to see you all again!"

The teleportation formation was in the middle of the central plaza and most of the residents and cultivators came to see this legendary moment. This was the moment their society branches out into others worlds! They were one of the strongest sects in The Great Azure world, but they still weren't at the peak. With the resources from another world supporting them, who could possibly stop them?

At the formation 20 youths with better than average talent were all lined up for scouting missions. They were all at the embodiment realm. This cultivation relied on body refinement and was the beginning stage in the life of a cultivator. Setting up ones foundation to achieve success later. They naturally were not the strongest of the generation, not by far. They were the 'sacrificial sheep' to scout out how terrifying the suppression was and to bring back details on the new world. Even though they knew that themselves they were all incomparably happy, this was just too big of an event and they were leading it!

"Formation , Rise"

A formation master and others were starting the activation sequence getting ready to send this batch of disciples on there way. With a loud hum a formation appeared underneath each of the youths feet and with a whoosh they dissipated from where they stood. The formation worked both ways, with a handheld emblem that gave coordinates back, and could freely send messages between the two regions. With this support the people on The Great Azure world would gain information and be able to retrieve people when needed. It was not a lifesaving method though, because the formation needed almost a day to lock on to them in the other world.

Looking up at the door with a furious gaze, the Toatie let out a furious roar. Still in its baby years its might was still indistinguishable. The ground shook and rocks blasted outwards. However in the end this door stood perfectly still, and it seemed to even light up afterwards. With a hong sound 19 people appeared with varying degrees of injuries. One of them even directly died in the passageway when the void split in front of him and dragged him inside.

"Stupid teleportation formation, my arm hurts so bad, feels like I wanna die"

"We barely even started our cultivation and its this harsh, the old guys aren't going to like that"

"Why did it have to drop us from so high up!"

The group of people, now laying on the ground, were acting carefree and still chatting with themselves unaware that they had just trampled all over another's territory and even interrupted him during his 'special time.'

The Toatie sprung into action, during the 2 years he got incomparably strong compared to when he faced that alligator. He directly opened his mouth and from the injuries of the people essence energy started to surge out.

"Huh?"

All of them felt that there bodies were started to become softer and more fragile. The embodiment real was to fuse energy into the body to make it stronger and stronger. The Taotie is the natural devourer of energy, and these kids met just that. Like a natural predator, the people were starting to have their bodies deteriorate and strentgh started to sap out of their bodies. It was not leaving very quickly though, the Taotie only was born 2 years ago and there was a limit to its strength, but still he was growing stronger with the energy he got from them.

The kids although flustered, still started to fight back. Most of their strength was stored in the muscles, so when they erupted it was powerful enough to throw the Taotie several feet away and make his muscles sore. Standing up with difficulty, he limped to the side and started to devour frantically.

The 19 kids finally started to cooperate and help each other, making the Taotie start to feel pressure. Stepping to the outter edge of their formation he slashed apart a younger looking girl that had her face flush with fear before being ripped apart by his sturdy claws. He picked up her corpse and then directly left, not dealing with the other 18 that journeyed together with her.

"What the hell was that? He was able to eat away our spiritual energy!"

"What is this place? Look that way, is that a snake with wings? We haven't had then since the ancient era!"

Whilst everyone was in talking furvently, a older child that looked like the leader, sent a letter back to the formation about what had just occured and their losses.
