11 11. First Year Lessons Pt.3

After learning defense against the dark arts, history of magic, potions, and herbology, which complemented each other, quite some time had passed.

To be exact two months had passed, which left me a month to learn 3 basic first year spells, and to fly on a broom. I was cutting it quite close, but I had confidence in myself to complete my lessons on schedule.

I started by learning the 3 basic first year spells. They were the Siphoning Spell, used to draw material such as liquids or dust off of a surface, often used for cleaning wounds. I also wondered if this spell could be used to siphon other materials, if so I would find out for myself in the future.

The Slug-Vomiting Hex, causes the victim to vomit slugs uncontrollably for several hours. A favorite of the immature and chronically unemployed.

I decided to not learn Obliviate until my control of delving into minds was better, and Expecto Patronum, while trying to cast, I was able to find a happy memory, but the magic it took was too much, for my current magical reserves.

Lastly the Tripping Jinx which trips the target with a simple motion of the wand.

It only took me a week to learn each spell since they were so basic. I then took the last week of the month to learn how to fly.

It was amazing, I waited until night, I snuck out of my wizards cave, with one of my house elves, who were to follow me, and catch me, or help me, if anything were to go wrong.

I snuck out using the secret passage I had my house elfs construct in the gardening shed, I then levitated myself through the night, until I came upon an empty clearing of land, that was some distance away from privet drive.

Ordering Klaw to put down my broom, I then had him step aside.

I walked up to my broom, I lifted my hand above the broom handle, and I visualized my magic flowing through my hand and calling to my broom commanding it. Then I ordered my broom "Up!"

My broom flew into my hand and made a loud palm smacking sound. I then firmly gripped it while positioning it in a way I could easily throw my leg over it. Sitting on my broom handle was surprisingly comfortable, it was like sitting on a cushion. After putting my weight on the broom, I grabbed hold tight with my arms and legs, and kicked off the ground while willing my broom up into the air.

The next moment I was shooting through the sky, it was dark, but there was a full moon lighting up the dark sky, and many stars scattered across the sky, each a twinkling bulb of light which would lead my way in any direction I so chose.

I was flying, supported by nothing but a broom, the air, and magic. I flew through the sky, through the cold damp clouds, I flew up and down, I even rolled my broom once, but was barely able to hold on with my baby arms strength, my house elf Klaw, might have even worked some house elf magic to allow me to safely remain in my broom, I didn't know for sure.

For I was having too much fun flying through the space in the sky, it was one of the best feelings in both my past life, and current life.

After hours of flying, the Sun started to rise, and the cool dark night, slowly was replaced by a glowing warm and yellow horizon, stretching upon the sky, warming me, and everything the light touched.

Realizing I had flown all night, till the morning, I looked down, and after getting used the weird, yet amazing feeling of looking down upon the world, I spotted my house elf Klaw, and flew down towards him.

Shooting like a meteor across the sky I started to sharply descend until I was a mere few feet away from the ground, I then levels off my broom, and started to de-accelerate until I came to a slow crawling stop in front of my house elf.

Levitating myself off the broom, I then telekinetically handed it to Klaw for safekeeping, while I kept myself suspended a few inches off the ground, as we started our journey back to my wizards cave, with the heat of the sun, bearing down on the small of my back.

Returning back to base, I once again used the secret entrance in the gardening shed. Upon my return into my wizards cave, I did not allow myself to fall asleep, no matter how much I wanted, instead I imagined my body flushed full with magic once again, and entered an energized state once again and started my nightly training routine which I had skipped. Once, and only once I was finished, and had caught up on my routine, I then allowed myself to drift off into a normal sleep for the first time in awhile.

Waking up, I found it to be night time, I was feeling refreshed from a fun night of flying, I hadn't realized how much my non stop magic lessons, and training were stressing my body and mind. Yet I still had my morning training, and nightly routine to go through once again since I had slept for so long. After completing my training, I made myself sleep, in the dreamless sleep state.

I then woke myself up in the early morning, and did my morning training.

Then and only then, once getting back to a regular sleep schedule, I allowed my mind to relax a bit, and think of what was next to come. I had finished my first year of learning, with a month to spare, it would be more, if I had not built the steam engine's.

Yet I did, and I still had one month and one week left until i should start the second year of magical learning. Instead of starting immediately, I decided to relax and take a little vacation to unwind for the month, and then use the one week as a transitional period.

I didn't know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go, but I had magic, and my house elves. So I started by giving them orders to pack enough food and supplies for two months for all of us. Then I had one of them get a globe, when the elf returned with the globe, I had each of us spin the globe and stop it by randomly stopping it with out index fingers.

Since there was four of us, I would be going to four new locations during my little vacation trip. At first I would use the broom, and just slowly stroll through the air to my first destination, and if I ended up going to slow, I could always have the elves apparate us the the next location, or plan a separate vacation to finish visiting the rest of the locations.

The only thing being the elves would need to take turns returning everyday to complete the chores, and to keep the fake version of myself created by my elves, to keep fooling the Dursley's, and maintaining the image of a normal baby living with them, within their memories.

To decide on which elf would have to go when it was time to switch schedules, the remaining two would have to play rock, paper, scissors, which I taught them, and them being house elves, instantly loved the game and how whoever won, was given the honor of doing chores.

Yet the first time they played it would be all three of them against each other to decode who went first, and got the glorious honor of fulfilling "Master Harry's" orders. Klaw chose scissors, Bitsy chose scissors also, and Misty chose rock, so she won, and would stay behind, for the first day, and switch with the winner of the second day.

After getting that all sorted out I then had one of my house elves apparate away to get three more brooms for them to use for the trip, and then had them carry the supplies, and they would take turns carrying the broom of the one doing the chores, with another game of rock, paper, scissors.

We were all packed, and ready to go, so one of the house elves made us all invisible, and we snuck out using the garden shed. Then we quickly found ourselves in the same clearing of land, and we took, out our brooms and put them on the ground.

I went first and said "Up!"

The two house elves went at almost the same time.

Klaw went a fraction of a second sooner "Up!" He said deeply, for a house elf's voice.

Bitsy said in the usual high pitched squeaky house elf voice said "Up!" Her voice sounded a half second after Klaw had already spoken.

The house elves were quite ecstatic, because house elves never had used a broom before, I being the gracious master, let them have their moment of joy, shortly after I had us all shoot up into and through the air, then we went sailing through the sky, on the way to one of the most magical places in the world.
