7 Finally! a mission

The sun was setting, we were walking through the still bustling city. Merchant packed their wares, as various tavern and night establishment lit up their lights welcoming the now tired workers and adventure, travelers alike. And for me this has been a good day, initially, we went outside the town to test the waters of how this world strength compare to our own, I think it's healthy to be worried when you thrust into an unknown world and expect everything has the same rules you used to know.

After our little chat with Naofumi-san this morning, we then went deeper into the forests, supposedly to say I expect something like monsters version bear or wolf instead of a sad rip-off of exe**cute, balloons variant, and rabid version of mokon*, and others low-level monster. We didn't get to meet stronger monster other than some highway bandit and the strongest of them are lv 50 which we killed right away in a cold blood. But that didn't really matter when we got something more, crafting material.

This world is really something, herbs are very abundant in the forest, mineral and metals deposit still untouchable deep in the earth. Really, deep forest maybe they still closed to a major city in the kingdom why they didn't go their way to exploit this?, not my loss though as I have extracted the majority of it to my inventory.

I haven't told you but, one of the gifts I got from the goddess is the inventory, it allows me to store anything under 50 meters in width and height infinitely, and I have a domain up to 10 meters around me to control item under my possession, and item that recognized by the system as loot and drop, and store them into the inventory. It has an automatic repair system, and with the help of grasping I can store any parts of-be that monster corpse or something without bothering cutting it up, thus I able to quick-loot with this.

Safe to say after our "scouting", I assessed the strength level of this world people and species could rival and surpass the lowest strength of a servant. Lv 40 is where they able to perform a class-up ceremony which I suspect as "surpassing the limit of a human" and bordering at least E-rank in parameter granted there are various aspects like races, magic aptitude, etc. and not to say the limit of this world is lv 100 and that could go further if you have the right knowledge, tools or artifact.

Back to the present. As we navigate the street and reaching an intersection I snapped out of my thoughts when I can't feel Altria beside me. Altria! Panicked, I turned around when I saw her with her face plopped to a window. Looking up, I can see the store sign 'old fashion bakery', I sighed at this.

Reaching her shoulder "Altria we have to go", she turned to face me "will, I will do anything" even without telling, anyone could read her thought after knowing her for an hour.

"no, you have eaten more than your share today", I replied firmly. I may spoil her rotten but there's a limit of something, I assured with confidence.

"is…it bad?" and crumbling right away when she attacked me with the legendary moves even mystic eyes could not hope achieved; puppy eyes!.

Putting my palm into my face, when did she learn something like that?! "sigh, fine"

*ching a ling*the sound of bell chimed when we opened the door store. 'sigh' I wonder how many times I sighed today.

"thank you for your patronage, please come again sometimes!" the clerk obviously happy after we basically emptied their display.

Altria holding a big bag with both hands obviously full with sweets and bread, she was skipping a little as her proud trademark of a single strand of hair danced rhythmically along her body. Next time I will be more prepared when she attacked me with those eyes, I swore deeply to myself.

As we approaching our hotel, a single message came out to my vision.

Yeah! Finally some mission, I exclaimed as a grin started to form on my face. The system really rarely gave me a mission, other than a long and arduous task. But, when it gives me a mission, undoubtedly the reward would be great and also QP. The only method I know to earn it was through a mission as my QP has depleted 2 years ago to buy blueprints and books.

"Will, you look happy is it because of the sweets?. I'll….will share as much…as you want, will" Altria bashfully said.

"that's not it! still, Altria after you go to the hotel, pack your stuff meanwhile I have some business with a friend." as I thought a single place and a single person to search the clue of this place.

"uhm, I will…left some-no-be safe will," Altria said, obviously happy she will hog all the sweets alone despite what she said earlier.

Still, I accompanied her to the hotel, reaching 'my room' then I changed my attire into a mystic code. It has the same design of my normal attire but all black color with some flower and geometry pattern running on it plus with a hood sewn to the shirt, and a mask resembling Hassan of serenity mask.

I reached out the backdoor of the hotel opening it soon I was greeted with an alley. Running to a wheelbarrow at the side of a building I climbed to the wall and reached the ledge.

Free running on the roof as I tried to evade some agent of the kingdom, no doubt they are the different one from the one who tried to spy on me as they look like spying on Naofumi-san down below.

Ignoring this I continued down to my objective as I headed the center of the city; the castle.
