1 The Overseer

Dying isn't really what I expected it to be, I never believed in God nor did I believe in life after death yet here I am, in endless darkness, nothing to see, nothing to feel and I became something ethereal, made of energy and I'm currently in front of a creature or something or someone, I honestly don't know.

"Mortal, this may come as a shock to you, but you are dead" The being sighed

"Isn't it obvious?" I smirked, "By the way, where am I? And who or what are you?" I asked humbly and a bit scared because of this bizarre situation

The being stared at me for a long time, sighed and answered "I am a higher being that oversees this section of the mortal plane, you can simply call me as The Overseer, I am in charge of managing this place and also in charge of overseeing its reincarnation cycle, usually, I erase your memories and then give you new life, but I've made a breach of law according to the tenets established by the Lord of Eternal Sin, I've damned the filipino race to continually suffer ever since their creation and for that, I am to choose one person to correct my mistakes, and you are that person, I've noticed your regrets and for that, I will give you a chance to fulfill your regrets, I shall revive you back in time and give you the chance to change the future of your race, and I shall grant you 3 wishes that will help you in your cause."

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" I asked, a bit shocked and perturbed by the circumstances

The Overseer looked at me, embarassed and said; "Will you accept this request of mine Mortal?"

I pondered, for a long time, this was one of the most bizarre things to happen to me yet this might be something that I will regret if I ever pass this one out so in the end, I've decided

"Alright, I'm in" I said, trying to hide my excitement despite it leaking all over

The Overseer, seemingly happy over my decision said "Then it's decided, I will grant you three wishes, but I can't grant you powers that are too obvious or too powerful for they might create more problems instead, these powers will help you in your next life, choose wisely for this is the most crucial part for your success"

I pondered, thought about it a lot and decided on three things that are not that OP but will help me in my reincarnation

"Okay, I've decided to try and reach the limits, so for my first wish, please grant me immortality by being able to transfer my consciousness to other beings weaker than me once per lifetime, can you work with that?

"It's almost reaching the limit of what I can grant but it is still below the limit established by The Lord of Eternal Sin so I may grant you that"

"Nice! Now for my second wish, please grant me the ability to control animals"

"Granted"

"Now, for my third and last wish, please grant me the ability to ensure absolute loyalty of those I employ in every aspects of life"

"Granted, now that I've given you those three wishes, I will now provide you the Tenets of The Lord of Eternal Sin, My Father and the ruler of every Mortal and Higher Planes, The Lord of The Eternal Cosmos, his rules shall never be broken and his will shall never be questioned, understood Mortal?"

I shivered at the power of the overseer, This is the first time I've seen this guy and this is also the first time that he is this serious throughout our whole conversation, this fear, this is the fear of being inferior, I will always remember this moment to not break the Tenets of this so called Lord, or I will git fcked!

"I swear upon my life Overseer"

"Good, now I will now return you the the cycle of life and death, you will be reincarnated with all three wishes and you shall complete your noble cause, go forth mortal, fulfill your destiny, may the blessing of the Lord guide you to your journeys"

And then, he's gone.
