1 A Great Oportunity to...

My name is Hiro, a very common name in my city.

With fifteen years, I'm still in high school.

I used to play online games a lot, I and my friends were addicted to it.

But it all ended today.

Today was a special day, but don't get it wrong, it was not a 'good' special, it was a 'bad' special.

I guess you already know. That's right, I died.

The cause? I don't remember it very well. It's uncomfortable to talk about it.

After a few seconds of internal struggle, I decided.

I ran very fast, the distance between me and the boy was not that big, after all. I didn't know how much time was left until it turned to normal again.

It's been twenty-five seconds since the time froze, I was reaching the boy, and I saw hope.

But, when it hit thirty seconds, everything became normal again.

I just had the chance to push the boy, as he was near the sidewalk.

All I saw in the next moment was a blur. People were screaming near me, it was annoying, but, a few moments later I could not hear them anymore.

I was dead.

In the end, the Death God came for me.

I don't know what happened after that.

Are my parents sad about my death?

They must be.

My friends came to my funeral?

Does my girlfriend cry for me?

Oh, wait, I don't have one.

Anyway, that's it, my life was not long, but I did something good, and that makes me feel satisfied.

"And that's how I ended in this situation, do you understand now?"

Hiro was now in a tight situation, he 'unexpectedly' came to another world.

When he was almost dead, he yearned for it. His subconscious wanted it, the time to live more.

He asked for another chance, and it was granted.

He was happy that it didn't end in that style. He saved a life, that's a good thing, but what about him? He was dead, and the dead can't do anything.

Now that he has another chance, he will live life to the fullest. That was what he should do when he was on Earth.

As told before, he was in a bad situation, he came to this world, but he had nothing. No money, no place to sleep, nothing.

"Like I said, kid, if you don't have money, don't bother me! I'm running a business here, can't you see?"

The man talking to Hiro was like a bear, he was tall, with a strong build and a ferocious look.

"Look around you! There's no one here! What kind of business are you running? With the animals?"

Actually, Hiro was discussing with the bear-like man inside a forest.

'Control yourself, Hiro! He is my last hope! If I can't get some food from him, I will die again!'

Even if this was a forest, every tree was dry, there was no life in sight.

After Hiro woke up, all he saw around him was a broad dry forest, he walked for some hours, but couldn't get any food, until he saw the bear-like man.

"Tell me, how can I get out of this forest?"

"I said it before, walk for one week in the south direction, and you will reach a village, it's all up to you." said the big man, not even looking at Hiro.

"But that's the f$*&# problem! I don't even have food for today, how can I last for one week?" Hiro was pretty much frustrated at this point, he was trying to make the man pity him for hours, but the man was like an immovable tree.

A little noise came from the fallen leaves and the man was alerted.

"Silence, there's something here."

"Whuo-what, now you want to order me? you're being-"

"Be quiet kid, or I will smash your head." the man looked at Hiro with a murderous look.

"I...okay."

Suddenly, a big red snake came from under the leaves with a rat in it's mouth.

"Damn, it's a red-tailed python. Boy, go away, this thing is very dangerous."

Posing like an intelligent person and adjusting his fictional glasses, Hiro said:

"A python? It's size would be frightening for some people, but I know that it is not venomous."

"Not venomous? Let me say it to you, this python's venom can rot a person's body in three hours."

Hiro's face went white with fright.

"Damn it!"

Hiro was the first to run, but seeing that the man was not behind him, he turned and shouted:

"Hey, why are you not running?!"

The man didn't respond to Hiro. Taking a knife from his left pocket, the man was ready to fight.

"Come, you big worm!"

The outcome of the battle was unknown. The snake reacted by trying to hit the man with its red tail, while the man tried to catch the snake's head.

"Whoa! This old man's moves are great!"

Hiro was full of praise for the man's moves when the voice inside him said:

'Go help him, Hiro! This is a great opportunity to kill the snake and help the man! Helping the man, he can give you some food!'

At the time the voice started to speak, time froze again, and Hiro was caught in the same situation.

"Damn it, the last time I followed your instructions, I died! How can I trust you?!"

It took a few seconds to the voice answer him:

'You died because you didn't go for the opportunity. Unfortunately, that child was saved and you died, you should have tried to save him earlier when I told you. Maybe the outcome wouldn't be the same.'

"F*#$ you!"

Running while swearing, Hiro quickly came to the man and the snake's battleground.

"What I have to do now?"

The voice didn't respond.

"F%#& you again!"

Hiro took the snake's head and tried to squeeze it with his foot.

"Why is this head so hard?!"

Suddenly, the time came back to normal.

"Take this!"

The bear-like man was going to make his move with the knife when he saw Hiro in front of him.

"Shit!"

He stumbled and almost cut Hiro.

"Kill the snake now! It is under my feet, I can't hold on any longer!"

The man saw the snake under Hiro's feet and reacted quickly. When the knife penetrated the snake's head, it stopped moving.

"Uuh, that was hard, I thought you would hit me there!"

"Why are you here? I thought you would run."

"Let's not think about it. Let's do business, I helped you, now give me some food!"
