Serpent King

It has been a few minutes since Rem and Karasu rushed to where Roy was before.

*BOOMMM!!!

"We're here!" Karasu stated, flying next to Rem.

"HISSSSS!!!"

'A snake..?' Rem could feel Roy's presence and another presence in the distance.

*BOOMMM!!!

'Guh...' Rem used her shadow magic to create a shield.

She looked up.

'What is that???' Rem inspected the creature's stats.

'How troublesome...' Rem activated her stealth and grabbed the small blade in her pocket.

「Please be careful..!」

'I'm not planning on defeating that. I'm just here to save Roy. Then, I'll leave. I know when there's an opponent I can't beat...' Rem dashed towards the area where the serpent was.

'Why is it so misty here..? Is this one of the serpent's skills or the environment? Anyhow, Roy's here somewhere. I can sense him but I can't sense his exact location..!' Rem used her wind magic to try to get rid of the mist.

'Is this mist what's causing me to become unable to communicate and locate where Roy is?' Rem wondered.

Rem could see a purple tail in front of her. She used Cynric to slash the tail but it didn't do any damage to the serpent at all.

"KIIIII!!!"

Rem heard Roy and immediately ran in his direction.

"Roy?" Rem saw Roy's figure on the ground right next to a tree.

"Roy!" She rushed to Roy's side and looked at his injuries.

"Kiii!!!"

'Huh..? Urk...' Rem coughed up a little blood.

'Shoot! The mist is poisonous..!' Rem grabbed Roy and ran towards the direction where there wasn't any mist.

Before being able to get out of the mist, the serpent blocked Rem using its tail.

'Screw this gigantic snake!' Rem jumped above the serpent's tail.

"HISSSSS!!!"

The serpent hissed at Rem and tried to bite her. Rem tried to dodge its attack in response.

'This poison is getting too strong..!' Rem began to feel dizzy.

The serpent attacked Rem again and this time, it successfully landed a hit on Rem. Due to the poison, Rem wasn't able to dodge the attack. Even after getting hit, Rem continued to run to the area without any mist. She used her martial arts to jump from tree to tree. When she ran, she looked at her stats.

'I need to be faster..!' Rem decided to put all her points to agility.

Rem's speed increased drastically. Dodging every attack from the serpent even though she's poisoned, Rem successfully got out of the misty area.

Rem wiped the blood she coughed up and hid in a cave she found nearby.

'The serpent shouldn't e able to get here... We're out of its territory. I need to heal Roy right now!!!'

Roy looked very pale. His forehead was a little purple due to the huge intake of poison from the serpent.

「Master, you can't!!!」

'I need to save Roy no matter what!'

The red mark on Rem's right hand shone brightly.

「Let me help too!」

The dagger began to float and glow brightly. It has white light surrounding the blade.

'What is... Happening..?' Confused, Rem began to heal Roy using all the mana she had left.
