8 Factions

After waiting for a surprisingly short amount of time I was sucked out of the dungeon. I looked around and saw no one else, I figured I must've been the only survivor this exam. Alyssa walked over to me, no one else was there so I was a little nervous but calmed down when a warm mana surrounded me and calmed me down.

"So you are the only survivor, not even the prince made it out, it seems you will go far to some degree, I forgot to mention but that was a C rank dungeon that would normally kill F ranks like you. Either way follow me, you need to get to your dorms, and select your faction."

I was confused but just followed her since I didn't know any better, and was shocked when I made it inside and saw how grand the academy was. It was completely made with a pristine white quartz with veins of gold travelling throughout them. I saw two doors at the end of the hall. There was one that was white, and the other was black one.

"Walk through either of the doors, and that will be your faction."

I looked at her very surprised that choosing a faction would be this easy. I walked forward and observed the two doors. Next to the doors were plaques that described what they did.

The white plaque said "In justice we shall prevail and survive in the fight for the glory that comes for protecting Solaris. By practicing the Mana Condensation Technique we can fight the corrupt and the demons, and become proud warriors."

The black plaque said "Through Chaos all powers are built. To harness Chaos is to defeat it, by using the Chaos Eater Technique we can turn Chaos against itself and harness the entire scope of our powers."

I debated between the two, but by consuming Chaos I might be able to do something about Orion and gain more power through the scythe. I walked over to the black door and opened it. A familiar mana surrounded me, it had a very dense blood lust, and Chaos, but with light hints of justice scattered throughout.

Alyssa stared at me, I wondered if it was that strange to choose the black faction, but she didn't say anything. I walked further inside deciding to ignore her, and made it to what seemed to be a living space. Only it was void of any signs of life, and there was absolutely no one there which surprised me considering all the people in the lobby just walking around.

I walked towards what seemed to be a desk, then saw a dusty golem inside it. When I walked over, it began to wake up in a way, and its previously black eyes turned yellow, and it gained consciousness. It stared at me for a little while then realized it had a job to do and so began to speak.

"Welcome Master, I am Hana, and I am the receptionist here. There hasn't been a member of the darkness faction since the 8th Sage's era, so you have full reign over this area. Since you are the only one I will grant you the master key."

The golem handed me a single bronze key. It was covered in mana, and had a mysterious aura made to adapt, which must be the reason why it is the master key. I looked around, and noticed I had no clue where anything was. My only option was to ask the golem, I feel like it was pretty forgetful since it even forgot to ask my name.

"Hana, I'm Theia the one you've been calling master, and since I'm new here can you show me around?"

"I guess, it's not like I have anything else to do."

Hana wiped off the dust from herself, and walked over to me. She lead me down the hallway, and brought me to a large room at its end. In the room which seemed to be the largest one there, it had an entire library full of theories and research from previous faction members. There was also a large bed with everything basic like a dresser or a night stand.

Everything I would possibly need was already there, whether it be uniforms or books for lectures. I was very happy I chose the black faction since I got so much from it. Hana just left and I stayed in my new room examining all the research and the signature technique of the black faction, Chaos Eater.
