Chapter 12: D rank missions

Kazuto pov

Man that council meeting was annoying that stupid woman Mebuki tried get me punished but couldn't succeed, instead Sakura is still in our team somehow. I tell ya I don't really hate her cause she's young and got influenced by a terrible person(her mother) but she really gets on my nerves. I don't really know why honestly. Anyway's we had to take our pictures for our Identity certificate. I somehow convinced Jiji to let me keep my mask on. I tell ya threatening him with his Icha Icha was the perfect thing. I really don't understand how people like that book. It's such weak stuff, they really need higher standards. I tell you Naruto's photo was pretty good. A little bit of face paint can go a long way. He also seemed to have made a new friend, his name was Konohamaru I think. It was pretty funny seeing Naruto trying to teach the kid the oiroke no jutsu. Anyway's my anbu activities, well I don't have any since I retired when I graduated as a genin. Right now were waiting for our sensei, we came a bit early to see if he would take my warning seriously. It seems he did as he came right on time at exactly 7am.

Kakashi: "Yo."

Sakura: "YOU ACTUALLY CAME EARLY FOR ONCE!" She screams surprised then went back to fawning over Sasuke.

I raised my hand up.

Kakashi: "Yes Kazuto?"

Kazuto: "Why is Sakura here?" I say a bit annoyed.

Kakashi: "Well Kazuto that's because the council decided to keep her in the team despite her performance." He sighs while saying.

Sakura: "YEAH THAT'S RIGHT MY MOM CAN DO ANYTHING!" She says arrogantly.

Kazuto: "And yet I haven't been punished yet I wonder why." I sneer.

I see Sakura go bright red from anger.

Sakura: "BAKA THAT'S BECAUSE SHE DECIDED TO SPARE YOU LIKE THE GOOD PERSON SHE IS." She says proudly.

I snicker. She looks at me angered.

Kazuto: "Not from what I heard, my clanhead said that he made her back out like the awesome leader he is."

I hear Sasuke snicker and Naruto grin goofy.

Sakura: "BAKA THAT'S A LIE!"

Kakashi: "Alright that's enough you two." He says annoyed.

Sakura humphs.

Kakashi: "Now follow me to the Hokage tower to get our mission."

We follow Kakashi-sensei to the Hokage tower to get our mission, well D-rank mission but they don't know that yet.

Kakashi: "Hokage-sama we came here to get a mission."

Hiruzen: "Well Kakashi there's pulling out weeds, painting the academy fences, catching tora, doing groceries....''

The list went on and on as my team mates kept despairing.

Kakashi: "Ok Hokage-sama I would like to take the pulling out weeds mission please."

I see the Jiji hand out the permission form. We left the Hokage tower to do some missions while Naruto was whining about wanting better missions. When we got to the mission area the lady guided us to the weeds while glaring at Naruto. I countered her glare with my own. She then never looked at Naruto like that while I was around. While we were pulling out weeds it seems that Naruto pulled out some flowers. I scolded him and told him he was going to go do some theory when we went home. I saw his face turn pale and tried to beg me out of it, I want none of it. When we completed the mission. I asked Kakashi-sensei if I could do my own D-rank missions. He said it was ok as long as he didn't get into any trouble. I jumped for joy as the amount of money I would get is going to be astronomical. If you were wondering how I got my money before well lets just say I went on a bounty hunt, also anbu missions really helped but no one needs to know right. Well except Itachi knew. Well while I was using shadow clones to do my own missions I saw a cat run pass me with my team run pass me. I snickered as I knew they were trying to catch tora. The day's kept passing as I kept doing my own D-ranks racking in money as I went along. Of course I still joined in with some team exercises every once and a while. Every once in a while I'd go meet my other friends, of course every time I visited Hinata-chan she always goes really red. I'm really worried that she might be a really sick or has some disease. Tho hanging out with her was comforting as she didn't talk too much and we would always just go around to food places or just hang around in general. Sometimes I would carry her back to her compound as it seems that even though she's timid she's pretty hard working. Although every time I carry her back I always feel something wet and on my back, but also something poking my back very weird. Maybe it was just sweat and something sticking to her clothes.

This one time I went to catch Tora with my team and I trolled them so I hard. I made the shadow clone do Tora and my work while the cat and I waited in the Hokage's office. He just sweat dropped at my antics. My team mates finally figured this out after 6 hours of chasing as the cat was too much like a real ninja punching Kakashi-sensei were the sun don't shine, messing with Sakura's and Sasuke's hair and pranking Naruto hard I tell you. Tie him up then eating his favorite ramen in front of him was entertaining. To tell you they were angry was an understatement. Naruto was thinking of a way to prank me, Sasuke demanded food and Sakura was chasing me trying to hit me, Kakashi was trying very hard trying to think of a fitting punishment while clenching his family jewels. In the end Tora ran away again, Sakura never got the hit, Sasuke got his food, Naruto's prank backfired and Kakashi couldn't think of anything, but they all decided not to bring me to do any more Tora missions.

Today we finished another D-rank mission. When we entered Jiji's office Jiji started listing more D-rank missions until:

Naruto: "JIJI! I DON'T WANT TO DO ANYMORE OF THOSE STUPID D-RANK MISSIONS I WANT A MISSION FIT FOR A NINJA."

Iruka: "NARUTO! DON'T DISRESPECT THE HOKAGE LIKE THAT!"

Hiruzen: "Naruto you know the important of D-rank missions..."

As Jiji was explaining the importance of the ranked missions:

Naruto: "And miso ramen is my favorite because-"

I see the Hokage gain a tick mark then sigh.

Hiruzen: "Kakashi are your genin ready for a C-rank."

Kakashi: "I think that they are perfectly ready Hokage-sama."

Iruka: "Now wait a minute-"

Hiruzen: "It's alright Iruka I think that it's fine, Iruka bring in the client, team seven your mission is to escort someone to the land of waves."

Naruto: "ALRIGHT THANKS JIJI! Who are we escorting a princess, Daimyo or a kage." He says excitedly.

Kazuto: "Naruto were escorting a Drunk." I say deadpanned.

Naruto just despairs while I giggled at his negative emotions.

Hiruzen: "This man name is Tazuna, your job is to escort him to the land of waves, to his home."

Tazuna: "Your letting a bunch a brats escort me!"

Kakashi: "Don't worry sir we are highly capable believe it or not."

Tazuna: "Well the blonde idiot, bubble gum hair, duck ass, gravity defying guy looks useless the guy with the mask however looks reliable."

Naruto and Sakura: "HEY!"

Sasuke: "Hn!"

Kazuto: "Thanks, by the way do you have anymore rice sake with you?"

They all looked stunned.

Kakashi: "Kazuto don't tell me you drink."

Kazuto: "Every once in a while."

Hiruzen: "And how much is every once in a while."

Kazuto: "A bottle a night."

They all looked stunned again.

Naruto: "How come we didn't know about it we live with you."

Kazuto: "In my room."

Realization dawns upon them.

Kakashi: ~cough~ Alright meet me at the front gates of the village in 30 minutes."

With that Kakashi shunshins out and my team mates scampered home to prepare.

Kazuto: "So the Sake?"

Tazuna: "Aren't you going to prepare brat."

Kazuto: "Already did."

Tazuna: "Well in that case.."

Tazuna throws a sake bottle to me. I catch it then gulp it down.

Kazuto: "Had better."

Tazuna raises a brow at me.

Tazuna: "Prove it."

Kazuto: "Sure when we get to your house, see you at the gate."

I shunshin to the top of the gate waiting for my team mates. 30 minutes later I see them approach the gate.

Naruto: "Kakashi-sensei where's Kazuto?" ask with confusion on his face.

Kakashi: "I don't know Naruto didn't he say that he already finish packing."

Sakura: "Who cares about that guy anyways." irritation in her voice

Sasuke: "Hn."

Sakura: "KYAAAAA SASUKE-KUN!"

I Sweat drop. I shout towards them and they all looked at me surprised.

Sakura: "BAKA WHERE WERE YOU!"

Kazuto: "No where were you is the question."

I see confusion on their face. I giggled at the idiotic question.

Kazuto: "Anyways lets set out!"

Naruto: "YEAH!"

Kakashi pov

I didn't even sense that he was there. I guess I;m either getting rusty or his just that good. Hmm interesting.

They set off into the distance not knowing the adventure that's about to begin.
