26 Oasis

It has been a week since I returned from Oasis. Oasis is a beach touch resort which is on the outskirts.

A day before we went to Oasis, all the students were informed to reach the school by thirty past eight in the morning. Our teacher also informed us that we would leave by nine in the morning. She didn't want any of us to be late.

We all stood in a line according to our Roll Numbers. But our sports teacher came and told that it would be better if the girls and boys sit in separate buses. Students glared our sports sir which was left unnoticed by him. No one liked the idea, it was our last year in school and we all wanted to spend some nice time together but he spoiled it. But the faculty liked his idea.

Everyone got into the bus one after the other. As soon as Rachel entered, she went back and saved a seat for me in the last second row. I sat near the window and she sat to my right side.

As I was seated near the window seat, I was able to see the bus beside me in which Justin and Aaron were present. They waved at me and I waved back at them. I looked around and there was no sight of Austin. He never came to excursion since he joined our school, I guess he never showed any interest. I knew that his name wasn't in the list of students who payed for the excursion but still I had a small hope that he would come.

It was sharp 9:00 am when everyone started to shout as soon as our buses started to move and that continued till we crossed our school premises. There were five buses and all the five buses started at the same time and followed one after the other. Our entire time in the bus passed by singing, dancing and by playing few games. I fell asleep after sometime. Rachel woke me up and told me to look out of the window in excitement. My half opened eyes widened at the sight of beach. The crashing waves welcomed us as we entered into the resort. As soon as we got down Rachel, Cindy and I took our bag pack and ran towards the beach and other girls followed us. When we reached to a certain distance, we saw that there was barry gates and we couldn't head towards the beach. We stood near the railing and watched the waves. Rachel brought a camera with her, we started to click pictures. My entire attention was on the the waves and I was in awe. It wasn't my first time to the beach but there was a kind of excitement as I came with my friends this time instead of my family.

I called Rachel when I saw a huge wave but there was no response from her. I turned back to call her but my foot caught in the rug and I stumbled when my eyes caught the sight of the person who stood in front of me.

"Careful," Austin came forward and held my wrist.

"I'm fine."

He released my hand after he heard my reply.

I was happy and at the same time I was surprised when I saw him. I saw the list of people who were coming to excursion but his name wasn't there.

"I thought you weren't coming," it was a question which came out as a statement.

"You thought about me ?" he had a smirk on his face.

It was true that I thought about him but his instant reply made me blush and I hid it with a slight smile on my face.

"Why? .....can't I think about you ?" I gave him the same expression he had when he asked me that question.

"Wow... I wanna jump from here and swim right now!!" came Aaron's thrilled voice.

"Why not, you can," Austin replied before he glanced at me once and then continued, "if you are ready to get punished."

"Why would I be punished ?" Aaron questioned Austin.

"For jumping from here," Austin pointed at a board in which it was clearly written that people are not allowed to jump from the railing.

"I know you will save me from those security guards," Aaron replied confidently.

"I won't," Austin said.

"But this is .."

Before he completed his sentence we were called by our teachers to have our lunch and then we dispersed to our rooms. We were told that only six people for each room. Rachel, Cindy, Veronica and two other girls were in my room. Cassie and Stella are Veronica's friends. I still talk to those three girls whenever we meet. Veronica and I are still good friends.

As soon as I entered our room, I opened the door to balcony. I saw Justin who was at the balcony.

The balconies were so close that we could jump from one room's balcony to other and enter into the rooms.

"Finally I saw you after coming here," I said to which he let out a chuckle.

"Wish this was our home," I said to him.

"That's alright we can come whenever we want."

"No, I want to live here for free instead of paying."

"That's possible too," he said and rubbed his temples.

"How's that possible ?" I questioned him.

"You just have to ask Austin ," he shrugged.

"Why?" I asked him..

"Oasis is one of their resorts."

I knew that Austin was super rich but I didn't know that Oasis was also one of the Ames property.

"That's amazing!!" I was flabbergasted.

"Then why did he come when he already saw this place, is it because of us?" I asked him.

He sighed and continued, " I guess he wanted to escape from his current situation."

Justin went to his room after Aaron called him .

I stood for sometime when my thoughts were filled about Austin. I knew about the situations in his house, not everything but a little that his parents always argued with each other. He must be going through a lot. It is painful to see when your mother and father always argue, I sighed.

We went to the beach and came back around seven in the evening. After we took bath one after the other, we were called to have dinner.

That day, everyone went to the beach and played. But Austin didn't come. Since the resort was his family's, he was given a special room. But he had his dinner with everyone. Excluding Jessica, Justin, Aaron and Rachel no one knew that he was the owner of Oasis.
