39 Dream

"Long time no see, Jessica Olsen!!"

His voice was enough to get her heart thumping . It has been ages since she heard him call her name.

"Austin?!!" Jessica said when she turned back to look at him.

There was a slight smile on his face.

She walked towards him not breaking her eye contact with him and then everything seemed blur.

When she opened her eyes, she realised that she was on bed. " Was everything a dream?" she thought. Jessica looked around and it wasn't her room. She took few minutes to know that she was in hospital. Jessica looked at the clock, it was thirty past two.

As she was getting down, the door was opened.

"How are you feeling now?" Austin asked her.

"It wasn't a dream," Jessica thought.

Jessica still couldn't believe that he was standing in front of her and was talking to her. She was staring at him instead of replying to his question, It took her seven years to meet him again. She never thought he would be the one to talk to her first.

"I'm fine," she said.

"I just wanted to talk to you and you looked at me as if I was a ghost and then fainted," he said with a chuckle.

"Sorry, I-I didn't eat anything since morning and I was weak so I fainted..."

Before Jessica could explain him, he said, "Weak ?" the doctor told you are not weak.

She lied to him that she didn't eat anything. She fainted because she was surprised to see him all of a sudden. His sudden presence in front of her made her faint because she was over excited and was in shock too.

"By the way, what were you doing at my show?" Jessica asked him to divert the topic.

As far as Jessica knows Austin have nothing to do with Sanchez. So she was kind of curious to know why was he there at that time. She just wanted to know if he was a guest or if he came for her even though she knew that it was highly impossible for him to come for her.

There was a smirk on his face after listening to her question.

"I was invited and then I saw you walking along with the models and then I thought of meeting you after the show but who knew you would be so shocked seeing my face and faint," he was clearing teasing Jessica.

"It's not like that, " Jessica said biting her lower lip.

Jessica was sitting on the bed and he sat on the chair which was beside her bed, they both stopped talking, there was a moment of silence between them.

A part of her told that they would never meet and the other part told that they would meet one fine day. Jessica always thought that netting him after many years would be the best moment ever but she never thought that she would faint the moment she saw him.

They heard a knock and then the nurse entered the room. She left after checking Jessica's blood pressure.

"I'm sorry for the trouble," Jessica apologized him after the nurse left leaving them alone in the room.

"That's alright," he said and continued looking at his phone.

"We finally met after seven years," Jessica said which grabbed his attention towards her.

"You are right," he said putting his phone in his pocket.

"I never thought that I would get a chance to talk to you in a hospital when we meet," he said again .

"Stop it," Jessica said in a low voice.

He chuckled and asked me," How's your life?"

"The first thing which struck my mind was Jake," Jessica sighed.

"My father chose a guy for me and I went to meet him a few days ago and he turned out to be Jake , Jessica said to him but there was no reaction on his face."

"Oh !!" he nodded.

"I'm talking about the Jake whom you punched in school," Jessica told to help him remember about Jake.

"I know that the Jake you are talking about is the one whom I punched," he said in nonchalance.

At that moment Jessica forgot that he was always an expressionless person. He never expresses his feelings much. Since they were in school he always had an cold expression which made him look angry and attractive at the same time. Now, his expressions are harder to understand than before. He was aloof, he cares only for few people, his friends and his family.

"Oh," Jessica said to end the topic but the topic didn't end.

"What happened on your date then?" he asked her.

"I told Jake that I like a person and then he told me that .... that he wants to prove his love for me and he asked me to give a chance," Jessica said.

"Do I know the guy you love ?" Austin asked her .

"Yes," Jessica replied.

"Who ?" he asked her.

Jessica didn't know what she saw was right or if she was over thinking but while asking this question he narrowed his eyes, he looked curious to know about it and he looked slightly irritated too.

Jessica took deep breath and cleared her throat.

"It's you," she said in a low voice.

I've been in love with you since eighth standard, I wanted to tell you this after exams but I never got a chance to meet you, Jessica finally confessed to him.

"I don't mind if you can't accept my feelings. I just wanted to tell you what I felt for you all these years and I feel happy that I finally told you," Jessica said.

The moment she told her feelings to him, she felt her heart lighter. There was a kind of satisfaction when she told him that she liked him.

" You mean ..."

Before he could say the next word, he took out her phone from his pocket which was ringing.

It was from Jessica's aunt.

"Which room are you in ?" she asked her on the phone.

Jessica ended the call immediately, she wanted to know Austin's answer before her aunt's arrival. The door was opened a few seconds after she ended the call and hence Jessica couldn't ask his opinion.

Austin got up from the chair for Helen to sit and then he sat on the couch.

Rachel came after Helen and was shocked to see the person who sat on the couch.

"Oh my sweetheart !! how are you feeling now?" Helen asked Jessica.

"I'm fine," Jessica answered.

"Thankyou Austin for taking care of her till now," Helen bowed short to Austin and said politely.

"How did you guys know that I was here?" Jessica asked them and her aunt's gaze shifted from niece to Austin.

Jessica understood by the way Helen looked at Austin. It was Austin who called them and told about Jessica's condition.

"It was easy for me and Rachel to come and see you because Clara is also in this hospital," her aunt said looking at Rachel who was blank after seeing Austin here.

"I think you should go home and take rest Jess. Austin could you please drop Jessica?" Rachel asked him.

Rachel didn't know what was happening all she understood after looking at Jessica's tensed face was to do something to make both of them leave as soon as possible so that they would be alone.

"Sure," his answer was short as always.

"Shall I come with you ?"Jessica's aunt asked her as she didn't want her niece to go with Austin even though she knew that Austin was a nice pereon.

"I'll need you mom, "Rachel said to stop her from going along with them.

While Jessica was talking to her aunt and Rachel about Jessica's show, Austin payed the hospital bill.

"I'll pay the money tomorrow, my purse is in my bag which I left in the makeup room," Jessica said after getting into his car.

Jessica could transfer money through her phone but somehow she wanted to meet him again and giving his money back was the only option she could find at this moment.

" Okay," he said and started the car.

Jessica was telling him the directions to her new house.

While Jessica was talking to Helen, she told Jessica that he called her from Jessica's phone which made Jessica shocked.

"I tried few passwords and I unlocked it," he said with his hands on steering and eyes on the road as he was driving.

"When?" Jessica asked him.

"Before you woke up," he said and looked at her. There was a mix of grin and a smirk on his face.

"160294," he said.

Jessica was stupefied to his answer.

His birthday was the password to unlock her phone. She used this number as her password when she was studying, she changed her password recently to this number. She felt as if she fell in his trap.

God knows why he tried his birthday number to unlock my phone. He must've doubted when he unlocked my phone using his birth day as my password and I cleared his doubt by saying that I like him, Jessica thought and wished to disappear Inorder to avoid him.

The car was stopped, Jessica raised her head to look out. They reached her house.

"Like I told you, I don't mind if you don't accept my feelings and I don't want to force you to love me back. I just wanted to tell you how I feel for you, Jessica said while getting down the car."

Jessica told him that she don't mind if he doesn't accept her feelings but in her heart, she wanted him to love her back but she was sure that he doesn't have feelings for her and she doesn't want to force him to like her. After meeting Jaken, she felt that it is better not to force someone to like other person when they don't feel for that person.
