7 The two boys

I turned back one last time to see her collapse on the ground with tears

I turn and look straight ahead

Seeing only darkness and trees

After about 2 hours of riding I noticed some light coming from straight ahead

I decided that it wouldn't be safe to investigate at night

I climbed off my horse

And the second I was on the ground it ran away

"WAIT" I shout while chasing it

The horse was much faster and ran far enough to a point where I couldn't see it

"Ugh" I groaned

I walked to my bag and got a blanket out of the sack my mother got me

I wrapped the blanket around me and used my sack as a pillow

(Which wasn't very comfortable)

I lay there for a few minutes

It was to cold to actually sleep

The light that was ahead illuminated the area

I took my magic book and started reading a chapter

MAGIC CHEATS

Magic is mostly powered by imagination and brain power

Elite magic users are the only type of magic users that can use magic without chants or symbols so this cheat is specifically for them

Warriors can combine their natural strength with magic to create strength which they can strangely customize

Their was more in the chapter but those two were the ones I found intriguing

[ i can use magic without chants or symbols? ] I thought while blinking my eyes sleepily

I shook my head

[ I have to try this out! If magic can be used for anything and I can use magic without chants then that mean I can manipulate magic] I guessed

I put the book next to me and stretched my arm out

I let out a big sigh and began focusing all my energy to my finger tips

[ fire ] I thought

Keeping my eyes closed I could feel my finger tips getting warm

I slowly opened one eye

And saw a bundle of fire on my hand

I stared in awe at my hand which was now ablaze

I collected some sticks with my free hand and set them on fire with the other

It felt as if the heat embraced me and I fell into a good sleep

I woke up the next morning to shuffling in the bushes and voices

I quickly hid behind a tree

I then remembered about the fire I created last night and smirked

[ invisibility ] I thought hardly

I opened my eyes and tried to look at my hand only to see nothing there

[ magic sure is handy ] I thought while silently giggling at my pun and hiding my sack behind some bushes

I heard galloping of horses, I grabbed my veil (just in case) and went to investigate

"GET THOSE BOYS THEY HAVE HER IM SURE OF IT" I heard a familiar voice yell

I look over and see my father with a group of men on horses

They were chasing a pair of boys

The boys appeared to be siblings and one of them looked my age the other seemed to be 8 or maybe 7?

At least I assumed this due to their similar appearances

Judging by their faces now I knew they would grow up to be heart breakers

Both the boys had dark red hair, the taller boy had blue eyes and the shorter one had green eyes

They both also had bags, they appeared to be mages or magic users I assumed this because the taller one was holding a spell book

Both the boys bolted and hid behind the tree I was standing next to

I stared at them with awe

[ their so brave I could literally never] I thought

"Asher why are they trying to kill us?" I heard the short one whisper while shivering

" well micheal from what they've been saying I'm assuming their looking for a girl, whoever she is I hope she got away from these psychos" the boy named Asher said bravely but I still heard a small quiver in his voice

" c-can you use magic for this big brother" I hear micheal ask

"I guess I can but my Magic's to weak, you saw how it was earlier it was so weak I couldn't even lift a small table cloth without getting tired" asher said sadly

Eventually without neither me nor the boy's noticing...

We were surrounded

"I KNOW YOUR THERE YOU PIGS" I heard a lady shriek

It was the voice of the lady named Sarah I had heard buy me for 1000 gold

The two boys stupidly walked out from behind the tree with their hands up

"M-miss I believe you have the wrong-" Asher managed to say before he was cut off

"Wheres my daughter you street rats" my father interrupted

"From the looks of your clothes your one to talk" micheal said harshly

My father took out a bow and arrows and shot the boy in the arm

Everything happened so fast I couldn't do a thing except watch as my father shot him

The boy was laying in the ground moaning in pain

The older boy grabbed him and they both hugged each other

I clutched the veil in my hands and put it on

It was short enough for people to see my mouth but long enough so that they couldn't see my entire face

Even though I was still invisible I walked up from behind the tree and stood my ground in front of the two boys

the woman named sarah laughed

"That language will get you no where, why don't you just tell me where my little beauty is already" the woman giggled

Asher sighed while holding his weeping brother

" ma'am we know nothing of the girl your looking for " he said calmly

Sarah studied them for a second and turned away

" they don't know anything" Sarah said half calm and half amused

The tall boy put on a small smile

"M-ma'am we come from a poor family can you please spare some money for my brother to see a doctor" the boy said while shaking

Sarah laughed

" just kill the boys they know nothing anyways" Sarah said to the group of men while laughing like a maniac

The two boys turned pale white as ten men they didn't even know aimed arrows towards them

What they didn't know was that they were also aiming the arrows at me without knowing

I turned to stare at these boys

I wasn't gonna let them die

They all shot the arrows at the same time

It was a large amount of arrows, there were so much arrows shot at once it was like we were covered by them

The two boys closed their eyes expecting to feel the impact

I raised my hand in the air and used my magic to stop the arrows

The two boys opened their eyes and stood in shock at the floating arrows

"WHATS THE MEANING OF THIS" Sarah shouted angrily

I undid my invisibility spell
