Chapter 1

Cecilia Everette's pov

"WHEN WILL THE FOOD GET READY ?" I heard my father scream from downstairs and I started scrambling the seasoned cabbage as fast as I could . As if it would make the food cook any faster but not like I had any option or I have special fire powers which will automatically make the food be prepared in a fraction of seconds .

"CECILIA !!!" I heard him yell again in more anger this time and his tone sounded more irritated .

"Just 2 minutes" I quickly responded .

After a few minutes , I started plating the food to serve him . I know he must be pissed about the food being prepared late but I couldn't do anything in this situation, now can I ? I was out due to my job.

I wiped my fingers in the apron , I was wearing and took the plate out only to see a vase being thrown in my direction my father , my eyes widened and I quickly dogged the vase.

*Smash*

*Crunch*

*Crunch*

The voices reached my ear and I quickly covered them as they were pretty sensitive, to loud noises .

I looked at him with a gasp while still covering my ear and then at the broken pieces of the baby blue vase which were laying on the ground .

" THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING THIS LATE" He yelled as his nose flared .

Gosh...he seems very angry today as if I have starved him for a week or two.

I just ignored his words and put the food on the table . He quickly started digging in the food and I looked at him expecting a praise or two but there was none . He just ate it up and pushed the plate slightly , gesturing he was done with eating. I sighed and walked away with the empty plate towards the kitchen , while ignoring the pieces of glass. I will remove them after I eat my food .

I put the dirty plate and utensils in the wash basin , to wash them later . I walked towards the kitchen slab to grab a plate of chicken salad , which I prepared for myself , but suddenly then the doorbell rang . I suppressed an irritated groan and walked towards the door to open it , while slightly glaring at my father from the corner of my eyes . Because that man couldn't even get up and open the door , it's not like he had any work right ? .

But my eyes widened a bit in fear when I noticed my father looking in my direction.

"WHO ARE YOU GLARING AT BRAT?" He asked while yelling on top of his lungs . I flinched a bit but then quickly opened the door only to find my mother outside .

She was a beautiful beta girl in her mid fourties . Her eyes were brown in colour and it complimented her slight tan skin . Her blond hair was tied up in a clean bun . But this beauty couldn't get her a good personality . She was very greedy and money was the only thought which ran inside her head.

Her unexpected arrival shocked me . She wasn't supposed to be here. At least not at this hour . She said that today , she will be having her lunch outside with her friends.

I mentally slapped myself for not preparing extra food because now I have to give my plate of food to her .

'Darn.. it' I thought to myself.

"Have you had your food miss ?" I asked my mother by the term ' miss' , she asked me to call her by , just to confirm whether I am really losing my food or not .

"Not yet" She said while tossing her fur coat on the ground , and I clenched my fist , in order to control my anger and irritation . I was the one who collected money to buy that expensive fur coat . Not her . And , I am the one who is going to wash the fur coat which is now dirtied by her . Not her .

" I am sure you have prepared my food " She stated and slouched on the sofa .

I nodded and walked inside irritatedly and passed my plate of food to her . Without thinking much , she dug into the food. I stood there while looking everywhere but the food .

"Cecilia.." my mother called me and I looked at her .

"I came early today, because of a reason . I was out with Mrs Winslow and she was concerned about her son . She wants Sepehr to do a part time job" My mother started.

"Uh..but isn't she very rich ?" I asked in a low tone , making sure that my mother , don't get irritated by my tone .

"He surely is , but Mrs Winslow wants Sepehr to be hardworking because he has become very lazy and just wants to chill the whole time , instead of being responsible and hardworking. This has concerned Mrs Winslow a lot" She told me and I nodded understanding, but again I didn't understand how this concerns me ?

Mrs Winslow's son can happily party his whole life and spend his rich mother's entire treasury , and I won't care a bit .

"Now you may be thinking how does this concern you right brat ?" She asked and I was surprised.

'Shit..how did she read my mind' I thought to myself , and nodded to my mother as a reply and she stood up and slapped my face making me wince.

"Look at you.." She said with disgust making me sigh , knowing I was in for another lecture of how I have way too much attitude even though I am omega and I mentally rolled my eyes , knowing well if I do that in real life , I will get my brown orbs plucked by my mother Gothel.

"You are an omega . A mere little omega yet you have this much attitude. Which sane alpha will buy you huh?" She asked me with disgust , making me annoyed . I wish I was an alpha , so that my ego and anger could be justified.

"Leave it , Odessa . Just tell her the main matter otherwise you will forget it" My father interrupted and my mother nodded , while slightly slapping her head for getting distracted from such an important matter.

"Yeah , you are right honey . I will punish this brat and disgrace later . The main matter is more important. While telling me the whole matter , Mrs Winslow also asked me , which work do you do and I told her about your work of being a waiter and asked me if you could possibly give Sepehr that job too , so that he could be busy" mother informed me and I sighed .

"I..I will ask the boss if there is a place free for a new person or not and then I will inform you" I told my mother who scoffed.

"Let me make it clear to you . Mrs Winslow asked me for this favor and I want you to convince your boss at any cost , to give Sepehr the place . Earning the favor of Mrs Winslow will get me many new gifts and clothes and didn't you tell me your boss is very kind , so use his kindness " My mother said .

"And you better do this if you don't want your legs broken" She warned and walked away without listening to me any further .

I looked at her walking in her bedroom. What she said made me worried. Firstly I don't know how that Sepehr is ? The only personal information , I know about him is that he is Mrs Winslow's only son and a spoiled Alpha . And secondly Mr Arthur Hyacinth is very kind and friendly but I am not quite sure if he will agree to give Sepehr that job , after all he loves peace and order more than anything in his kitchen.

Only the moon goddess knows what I will do now ? Because I want to save my legs at any cost .

I wanted to clear my mind , so after removing the broken pieces of glass , I walked inside my own room and groaned , when I saw the messy bedsheet , dropping half way from the bed and some of my dirty clothes were piled up , in the side of the room , on the floor .

Nonetheless I decided to ignore the mess and think about the matter deeply. But the longer I thought about the matter , the more it confused me . So I thought it would be only fine , if I go out and grab a sandwich and think about this matter with a full tummy .

I got up lazily and headed towards the armoire . I ran my hands through my clothes , while searching for a suitable one , which I could wear to a restaurant . After pairing my different tops and pants with each other , I decided to wear a creme colour turtleneck with a plaid skirt which had a brown and creme pattern on it.

I looked in the mirror and frowned slightly . Even though my outfit satisfied me, there seemed to be something missing . I kept staring at my image and then realised it was my hair . It was still in a messy work bun . I quickly combed my ginger hairs and tied my hair up in a high ponytail , but it didn't seem to go well with my outfit . So I grabbed a claw clip from my bedside and put my hair in a half up and down hairstyle with the claw clip .

To finish my overall look , I quickly applied a light red lipgloss on my lips to cover my dull ones . I stared at the mirror once again , but with a satisfied smile this time . I always wanted to look as presentable as I could, wherever I went .

After finishing my look , I grabbed some copper coins from my almirah, which I kept hidden in between my clothes , to get the sandwich .

Once I believed I was ready , I tiptoed outside to ensure my parents didn't notice me sneaking out. With each step , I kept looking around at both sides to make sure nobody was watching . As soon as I reached near the door , I took a deep breath in relief and opened the door as quietly as a mouse . After I got outside, I closed it while being equally careful .

The fresh cold air hit my face and caressed my hair as I headed out . I was refreshed now and I decided to drop my plan of going to a restaurant to eat a sandwich . Instead , I decided to roam around the forest and enjoy the fresh night air . Most wolves would be inside their house anyways and there will be no one to tell me I don't belong in the green forest , at this time of night , so I turned in my ginger wolf and ran through the forest , letting the fresh air brush across my furry breast and body.

I kept sprinting and jumping around the whole forest in happiness while enjoying the music of the night. The ruffling of the leaves by the air was more melodious than any piano in this world for me and the voice of the flowing water was more peaceful than any flute .

I rushed in full speed towards the water lake , and started to drink water only to hear a voice of footstep behind me . I turned my head around in horror only to find a black alpha beside me , drinking water from the lake.

'I am sorry , I didn't mean to startle you, little one' The wolf mind linked me.

'uh...It's fine . I was going anyways' I mind linked him back, only to inform him that I was no trouble but a simple omega , minding her own business.

'Relax little one . You can enjoy it here for as long as you want . I don't intend to harass or command you . I am minding my own business and you can mind your own' he replied to me and I felt my heart flutter at the soft tone of the big alpha . It was new to me .

It was pretty new for an alpha to talk this politely and respectfully to me . And moreover his earthy smell made him more pleasant to be around , so I just gave a little nod and drank the water and sat beside him , while casually staring at the moon .
