1 Chapter 1 Olena (pov)

I dashed through the woods the wind blowing wildly through my hair. I heard a deep monstrous moan behind me. I groaned damn it I didn't lose him. I picked up my speed but I heard the whistle and barely ducked out of the way as a red and fiery orange fireball launched at my head.

My hands are full of gravel I reached inside my leather boots and pulled out a heavily decorated knife my only weapon. I stared up at the cyclops with its one eye. I gripped the end of the knife in my hand and swung the knife in the air spinning very hard and quickly. My icy blue eyes stared as the knife pierced his eye. He let out a loud groan that echoed throughout the trees as I watched as birds flew away from the scene.

Standing up I ran off through the trees. I came across a small cottage bathed in gold sunlight. I slowly approached the house opening the door.

I glanced around in the darkness. I felt my foot push down on a small button. The next thing I knew I was swinging from a high net tied to the roof. I groaned still wishing I had my knife.

A thick dark mist covered the room that even my vampire eyes couldn't see in. The smokey mist cleared revealing a man with one leg shorter than the other. He had a dark scruffy beard and heavy set and wasn't very handsome. His brown eyes stared at me before smirking.

"Aphrodite," I stared at him in mask confusion." Caught you."

"I'm not Aphrodite."

"Then who are you*

"Olena," I grimaced."I'm a vampire."

"Oh," He sighs. "Why are you here."

"Cyclops," I chuckled." Plus just hanging around."

His eyes followed the net to where I was swinging. He untied the rope on the holter I fell to the ground landing on both of my feet. I brushed some of the dirt that was on my dress. I stared around his tiny cabin on the wall was a bunch of weapons swords and shields.

On the top of the shelf was a sheath of arrows and a large bow as tall as me. The bow held a bright light shining from it. My eyes widened. Hephaestus' eyes glossed over as he wobbled over and grabbed the bow and arrows. He thrust them gently into my arms. My gaze fell slowly to the gift from God. I smiled.

"There's a demigod town north from here where you may stay. Tell them Hephaestus sent them and tell my kids I love them," He smiled kindly." I claim you as my adopted daughter. I will protect you, my dear."

"Thank you," I nodded."I will."

I smiled walking out and I took off running North falling Hephaestus hammer until I came across the town.

As I broke the barrier I received many stares and ugly looks.

"I'm looking for your leader."

A man appeared with a beard. He was extremely tall with tan skin and dark hair. He gave me a warm smile.

"That's me. Welcome child. Follow me."

I nodded.
