Chapter 176 - Gourmet World

Entering the new world, Lev opened his eyes with surprise. The scenery of the surroundings was something he never expected to be that beautiful despite being ruined. He only saw the illustration of the place in the manga so he was not expecting that it would be this mystical.
"So, this is what one of the seven civilizations of the Gourmet World looks like." Lev muttered while looking down as he was standing on top of a building and just like the designs of the infrastructures of the place, it really looked like something connected to India on his Earth.
"Just a perfect place to train." Lev followed before jumping down the building. He already decided to train the skill that he still hadn't touched until now the 'Sun Breathing Technique' and the rest of its branches in this world and to do that, he first needed a place where he could focus which is why he chose this ruined city among the places in this world.

Hearing the notification, Lev looked at his world quest first before he lost interest and started roaming around and extended his Observation Haki to the fullest of his ability to see if there were any creatures around the area. The longer he walks, as the manga illustrates, the place really is in bad shape and lonely to the point that wherever he goes, ruined buildings and infrastructures can be seen.
Not long after, Lev then found himself in a place that looked like a stadium of sorts or something like an arena. The place was big as it probably measures several kilometers wide and long added by the bleachers that surround the place.
"White Fang. Ulmer. Come out." Lev suddenly said thinking that it was now time for them to come out. He was also excited about how White Fang would feel since the place he had chosen this time was the world she came into, the world of Toriko, and also the reason why she could come out upon being exempt from the restriction.
Following Lev's order, two Infinity Gates appeared, and two wolves suddenly came out of it. One of them was enormous in size with beautiful white fur while the other was small in stature. Upon summoning, White Fang and Ulmer howled at the same time, and it was so loud that it echoed throughout the place.
Lev, who was the closest, felt like his ears were about to explode by the sudden howling of the two, especially White Fang. Despite that, he still looked at them with a smile since the two of them really were hard to summon back on his Earth, and could only call them out now.

Gourmet World,
The sudden howling of White Fang and Ulmer, despite staying underground, was conceived by few, especially towards the creatures known as the 'Eight Kings' of the Gourmet World. All the Kings could not help but feel a sudden chill and alertness just from the howling especially the King of Area 7, 'Bambina' where Lev chose to appear.
All the other 'Kings' knew what kind of creature the howling came from and despite knowing that, they all knew that it came from another creature from the one they originally knew about. Meanwhile, among the 'Kings' in the Gourmet World, one of them was the most surprised and shocked since it was the first time it encountered such a feeling.

Human World,
The howl of White Fang and Ulmer also reached the ears of a few people in the Human World. No one knew where it came from, however, they were all sure that it came from a creature, and with that, they all understood that there might be something happening in the Gourmet World that they hadn't known of.

City of Hope,
Meanwhile, back to the place where Lev appeared which was called 'The City of Hope' in the past, Lev was in a dilemma while looking at White Fang sleeping in the Arena and wouldn't wake up no matter what he called her. It was the time when White Fang stopped howling that she suddenly lay down and went to sleep.
Ulmer, on the other hand, was very excited upon seeing Lev seeing him already licking Lev nonstop on the face. His personality was still childish since his age was originally four years old from the time he was called back into the summoning space back in Douluo Dalu.
'System, can you explain what was happening on White Fang?' Lev was helpless and could only ask the system about what was happening as he really did not have any clue about her sudden strange action.

'So that how it is?' Lev thought while patting Ulmer's head stopping her from licking his face. Following that, he then starts recalling something in the past and his eyes suddenly widen upon remembering the system telling him that there will be a chance of evolution once his summons entered the world they originally came from. Thus, thinking that White Fang was now in such a process makes him excited.
Looking at White Fang, Lev immediately thought the evolution process might probably take a long time so he just looked at Ulmer and smiled at him before saying, "Ulmer, this is where your mother came from."
"Howl!" Ulmer understood and howled. He also had a sense of familiarity with the surroundings which he found interesting, and he could no longer wait to look around the place and respond to his curiosity.
"Looks like it will just be the three of us then." Lev smiled as he looked at the place the second time before Megatron came out from his back.
"Megatron, look around and immediately report if you sense something peculiar." Lev followed and ordered since he wanted to see the entire geography of the area so he could plan out everything that he needed to do while staying in the place.
"Yes, Master." Megatron replied before transforming into a bird and leaving the place leaving Lev and Ulmer behind.
"50 years." Lev muttered while looking into the sky who was weird enough as there was sunlight despite being in the underground. He was wondering if he could persist in living that long as he had chosen to enter 50 years before the start of the canon. It was a pretty long time however, since he wanted to master his skills and the other Breathing Styles, he could only decide such a thing and suffer 50 years of training.
"Better start training and get used to my current power. Ulmer, you are too." Lev said before taking out Zabimaru Infinites and looking at Ulmer at the same time. He also wanted him to start getting strong since he already had something in mind about what to do with him in the future.
"Howl!!" Ulmer howled once more before running around the place.
Following that, Lev didn't waste any more time and started training together with Ulmer. Megatron, on the other hand, was on his mission while White Fang continued to lay down unbothered in the arena.

---Night---
At this moment, Lev could be seen sitting in the arena while having a frown on his face. He was actually peacefully and seriously training earlier, however, when the mystical sunlight went down, several creatures suddenly appeared all of the sudden. Ulmer, on the other hand, was not unbothered by seeing him lying peacefully beside his mother, or maybe because he didn't have the ability to see them.
Due to this sudden distraction, Lev could only meditate after the night arose and also distract himself from looking at the appearance of the creatures around the place. Along the process, he recalled from the story that there were creatures called 'Food Spirits', that normally humans could not see but he never would have thought that he could see them.
Lev, upon reaching his limit, opened his eyes and looked at the surroundings. There he saw different kinds of creatures among the crowd. One of them was humans while the rest consisted of many races, mostly a race of monkeys.
Also, some of them were quite ugly in nature, however, Lev doesn't seem to be disgusted looking at them. The Food Spirits, meanwhile, were acting strangely from how Lev knew about them as they were just curiously looking at him at the distance or more like they were hiding from something.
"Looks like night wouldn't be as peaceful as it looks." Lev said as he stood up before looking into the sky and there he saw Megatron heading down and landed just right in front of him.
"There were no peculiarities in the area, Master." Megatron immediately reported after finishing what Lev had ordered him a while back.
"Good. You may find a place to stay and rest." Lev replied while holding onto Zabimaru Infinities tightly. He thought that since his purpose of coming here is to train, then it is wise enough not to waste time. Fortunately, he has abnormal stamina after having the Nine Tails Fox bloodline which allowed him to continue for a longer time.
Megatron, on the other hand, didn't leave the place and just sat down somewhere in the arena as he observed Lev, especially the swordsmanship that he was training. It was the first time he had seen him doing that, but it made him feel amazed while looking at him.

---One month later---
In the arena,
Just like water in a river, time continued to flow, and it was already a month since Lev started his training in the ruined City of Hope. It was daytime right now and Lev was already in the arena continuously performing a kind of swordsmanship. For the past month, Lev did nothing but train and train to the point that he only sleeps four hours every day.
At this moment, Lev could be seen sweating hard and it continued pouring down on the floor as he repeatedly performed a kind of swordsmanship different from the Sun Breathing that he was using. He continued doing such a routine for an hour before finally stopping as he looked at Zabimaru Infinities.
"I finally grasped it." Lev muttered before he lay down on the floor and breathed with satisfaction. For the past month, he finally created his own branch of Fire Breathing. He suffered several setbacks at first in creating the swordsmanship especially since there is something called a compatibility of the sword and affinity of the swordsmanship, however, as he continued to train, his skill 'Weapon Specialist' greatly helped him overcome them.

"A month, huh." Lev smiled upon the fact that it only took him a month to create his own Fire Breathing Style using two Zabimarus and since he already grasped the essence of creating one, he was now confident enough that he could do the same with the others.
Seeing the progress he had made, Lev then just looked at White Fang's position still wondering how long it would really take her to evolve. Following that, he asked Megatron what was happening on his side since he had ordered him to supervise Ulmer on the surface two weeks ago wanting to give him some experience of combat.
Megatron, who was on the surface, reported everything to Lev through telepathy which surprised Lev upon knowing the fact that they never once encountered a single creature. Though they encountered some, it was evident that they were scared or something like that.
Hearing the reports of Megatron, Lev contemplated and could only think of three possible reasons. One is Ulmer having the blood of a King. Two, due to Megatron's presence. Three and the most possible reason might be because the scent of White Fang, a God, was all over Ulmer.
Thinking about it, Lev then just told Megatron to come back since he had never thought that such a thing would happen. After that, he stood up once again and held Zabimaru Infinities and started practicing Fire Breathing Style to level it up.

---Night---
Night came and the Food Spirits then started appearing again. Ulmer and Megatron already come back a while ago and were now resting in the arena while Lev was still awake roaming around the area, especially to the place in what they called 'The Drawing Room', where the Chefs of this Kingdom would welcome guests since ancient times and the place where Toriko and the others visited.
Walking in the night, Lev felt that he wasn't alone since there were several Food Spirits following him and some even guiding him in the area. He also felt ecstatic from the fact that the longer he looked around the place, the level of his cooking continued to rise up from the murals drawn on the walls.
Lev continued walking with the guidance of the Food Spirits and arrived in a place like a dining hall for which some of them could be seen dancing and playing around. Looking at them, he felt a sudden pity thinking that they could only live as Food Spirits and could not even have the ability to converse.
Lev knew about them living filled with regret due to not having been able to taste delicious ingredients during their life, and so instead lingered within the delicious ingredients they could never enjoy during their time on Earth as Food Spirits. Taking pity for them, he wondered if he cooked and made something out of this world that would maybe make them feel happy or something.
Deciding to try such a thing, Lev then took out some cooking materials and kitchen utensils together with the ingredients like Soul Beasts meat from Douluo Dalu world that was stocked in his inventory. He was quite excited this time thinking that his Cooking Skills continue getting experience just from reading the murals in the area.
Meanwhile, Lev's sudden action made the Food Spirits around the area curious and looked at him with excitement. They were excited in the sense that they had seen an ingredient that they knew nothing about. Following that, Lev started cooking with his new profound cooking skills and let the Food Spirits witness it firsthand.
