MEETING

"Alyssa, please get those trash bags out." I heard Mom's command.

I immediately obeyed because I was not doing anything. When I put the garbage outside I stepped on a liquid that I thought was just mud. I rubbed my palm on the part of my leg that was covered with that liquid, I smelled it and it didn't smell like mud.

What is this? Blood?!

"Ugh..." I heard a growl somewhere.

I looked around to find where it was coming from but I could see nothing because of the darkness around.

"H-help..." it was the same voice I heard before.

So I decided to find out where that was. Not far away I saw the man lying down and hurriedly approached him.

"Hey, are you okay?!" I gently patted his cheek. "Are you still alive? How did you get in here..."

I do not know what to do. His body was almost covered in blood. Eventually, we took him to the hospital. His life became critical because he almost lost blood. Fortunately, we had the same blood type so I gave it to him somehow.

With the tire to guard over him, I couldn't help but fall asleep, maybe I should just wait for him to wake me up. I just woke up when the hospital bed on which my head rested shook violently. I raised my head and found my patient awake.

There was clearly fear on his face so I tried to calm him down so he wouldn't panic.

"It's okay and you're awake." I smiled. "How are you? Are you in pain? Wait, I'll call the doctor-"

I was about to leave when he grabbed my arm which caused me to look at him.

"P-please... d-don't leave..."

I don't know what's wrong with him but when my eyes landed on his blue eyes it was as if someone was telling me to follow what he was saying.

Those eyes...

What questions are they asking him by the doctors around him. A few minutes later, his condition was explained and they left. After that, silence enveloped that room.

"What's your name?" I break the silence.

"C-cloud..."

"By the way, Alyssa. The doctor said you need to stay here for a few more days. Do you know your parents' number so we can call?"

He shook his head.

"You don't know their number? How do we call them-"

"I-i don't have any parents..."

I didn't know what to answer so I kept quiet first.

"Alyssa ..."

I looked at the person who called me, it was Mama. He motioned for me to leave the room, which I obeyed. I said goodbye to the man first. At first, he didn't seem to want to but I still obeyed because it was my mother.

"What are you up to with him?"

"I don't know, Ma." my answer. "Can he live with us?" I explained to him what Cloud had said.

"Is there anything I can do?" Mom's promise. "But if he does something bad to you and our family, I'll kick him out, right?"

I agreed with what Mama said because I knew in myself that Cloud was not like that.

"From now on, you will live with us."

He didn't answer but he listened.

"I promise to take care of you and protect you."

My decision is complete. I will take care of and take care of this man.
