Chapter 5

Eric woke up the next morning and as he did, he looked around, then at his morning wood, he then moved his pants a bit, and saw it grew a bit, and so he smiled, he then stood up and did some stretches and after he did that, he heard banging sounds, he then looked at the door, and as he did, he first looked at his hand and made an aura appear around it, he then smiled as he turned it off. Eric left his room after giving it no last glances as today would be his last day in it, he then left with a smile on his face.

As Eric got out, he didn't see a random instructor like usual, but the same one as yesterday, and as the guy saw him, he smiled creepily, and Eric just gave him a pure smile, and so he asked if anyone wanted to challenge for a new rank and as he did, he saw no one reply to him, so he went and let them eat their food, and as Eric ate his monster meat and Alvas, he felt they were much weaker compared to yesterday, and as he thought about, he continued to finish his food. Alva looked at Eric, who looked out of it, he wanted to persuade his only frie...Ally into not fighting now and to wait till he gets stronger, but he himself doesn't know how strong Eric is but seeing how uncaring he is, he's probably stronger than the previous rank 1 that died yesterday and there is a good thing coming out of this, at least he can keep his monster meat now, he hasn't tasted it for a month now and he kinda missed it, he then saw the new rank one come and give his meat to Eric and this was a normal scene as he started doing this a few weeks back and this was a deal he made with Eric, and it was not to fight him and take his rank, and in return, he would usually give his monster meat 6 times a weak to him.

Eric looked at the guy, and took the meat before he ate it, he then looked around at the kids and the new kids his age or a little bit younger that joined in the past few weeks, he then finished eating and heard the Warrior say a few minutes later "Times up" and so he stood up and started heading for where the weapons are, and the other kids looked at this strangely, the Warrior then said, "He's going to challenge the monster for early graduation, does anyone of you want too as well?" and as he saw nobody answering and looking at Eric weirdly, he then scoffed and watched what weapon Eric would pick, he guessed the usual thing they taught them, and that would be a sword and a shield, and as he watched, he saw Eric wear light armor and a thick one on his left arm, and then as he went for weapons, he skipped the shields and swords, and as he saw this, he looked surprised, even more so at the weapon he stood in front of, as that weapon was bigger than Eric by a whole foot.

Eric looked at the huge battle-ax and grabbed it, he then tried to hold it with little to no strength at all, and as he did, the back of that battle-ax fell on the floor and he seemed to be struggling as he tried to carry it, but it was just him testing how much of little strength he could use to move it and as he tested it for a few 30 ish seconds, he started dragging it to the cage where the warrior was waiting at while staring at him awkwardly, he then heard him say as he reached him, "Really? Are you playing around now? Go pick up a sword and a shield" and as he said that, Eric looked at him and thought "I don't really like swords though" and so he went and stared at the Warrior, he then said "Either way, if I'm about to die, you'll save me, no?" and he smiled as he said that and walked to the gate, and as the warrior saw and heard this, he got tilted as he looked at Eric, he then smirked at the thought of just letting the cocky kid die, less trouble that way, so he went and opened the gate of the cage letting Eric in and as he watched Eric go in while dragging that huge battle ax, he smirked, he then saw him stand in front of the monsters cage a distance away while having the Huge battle Axe standing straight, vertically, with the blade of the weapon facing the opposite way of where he was looking, he then saw Eric smiling at him, and as he did, he thought "What a waste of time, should have just went to the brothel today...well, some free cash I can save up I guess, and I can watch stupidity at its finest" and so he opened the monster's cell by the rope in the back, and as he did, he watched the starved monster as it just rushed straight for Eric.

The warrior watched as it got closer to Eric and so he folded his arms to show he was a 100% ready not to save Eric, he then saw Eric raise his leg that was next to the ax and as he did, he went and moved it back words fast, with the back of his foot, hitting the axes back, and as he did, he saw his arm that was holding the ax in a weird way start to move as he lifted the ax with the help of the force of the kick, and he looked shocked as he saw the ax move up and start heading down in an arc and as it did, it seemed Eric timed it a bit off, but it still sliced through the monsters front head as it fell down, he then looked at this flabbergasted, he then saw Eric let go of the Axe and start walking a bit forward to the dead twitching monster, he then saw him pick up a crystal, while looking at him with a smile, and as he saw this, his mouth twitched as he thought "That was cheap...but that requires strength...I think..., I've never seen or tired that shit" and as he looked at Eric, he saw him dragging both the corps and the Axe, he then looked at the kids who looked shocked, then back at Eric, he then opened the cage and said "Well, I was betting on your death there, it seems you won...and easily at that" and as Eric heard that, he looked at him with a smile and as the man saw this, he looked at the ax he was dragging and smiled back awkwardly.

Eric put the ax back and started dragging the monster as he followed the guy and before he left, he didn't once glance back at Alva as he could care less about the fool who followed him. The warrior told him his name was "Nabu" and asked him if he was going to sell the beast for money to save or to trade-in for a better house, and as Eric found out the house as in hut, would get would only be a bit bigger, he asked questions about money and how much he would get for selling the monster and with or without it's core. Eric knew about the currency as the former him lived with his parents that struggled with money, he knew they looked like crystals and that there were 4 colors, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red and in that order, there worth, 1, 10, 50, 100 and naturally that means 1 blue crystal is worth 1 blue crystal, and the Red Crystal is worth basically 100 blue crystals and that money in the north were called Utips. Eric heard him say the whole monster plus the core costs 5 utips, while the core cost the most, and that was 3 utips, and that would mean the meat cost 2 utips, and as he heard that, he wondered how expensive are houses that he would be able to get a little bit better house apparently and as he asked, he found out, it was basically just bribing for the better house and as he heard that, he remembered, he already had a place so he asked about that as he's family struggled to pay it off, and as Nabu heard that, he looked at him, and said "No clue" and they left.

Nabu found out that house was sold, and it was sold for 35 utips and he was given that amount as he apparently was entitled to it as long as he graduated...and only if he graduated, and as he got the money, Nabu asked him "Do you wish to buy it back?" and Eric shook his head as if he could care less about that small hut, and so he kept the money in a pouch Nabu gave him with the money, and soon enough, he asked the same question, and that was if he wanted to give the monster for a better house, and as Eric looked at the monster he kept dragging this whole time, he said "No, I plan on buying one soon as I save up" and as Nabu heard that, he nodded his head as the hut wasn't bigger by much and he took him where he was supposed to go and as he got there. Eric saw the hut was at most, big as his old lives apartment bedroom, and there was his old friend in the corner, a bed made out of hay, he then saw some primitive utilities used for cooking and that's about it.

Nabue asked Eric what is he gonna do now that he passed, and Eric smiled as he said: "I'm going to become a hunter" and as he said that, Nabu looked at him weirdly, he then said, "That is a respected... profession, but aren't you a bit young? you could die, and your by yourself as well, why not join the warrior camp till your older and then go become a hunter" and as he said that, he saw Eric shrugging it off and got tilted again, so he then said "Alright then, follow me" and Eric looked at him and followed behind, but as the guy saw Eric dragging the dead monster still, he said "Where I'm taking you, you could sell that thing over there, do you want to sell it? And if you do, stop dragging it and bag it or he won't by the meat for 2 utips" and as Eric heard that, he looked at the monster and went and left in his house in a corner, he didn't have to worry about its meat that couldn't become rotten as it could last months without any preparations, and as Eric thought about it, he thought "So there are a lot of monsters, and it can last a few months, by itself without rotting.... so it just sucked that you can't really eat it huh? Because if you could, they wouldn't have any issues with food I suppose..., but do we really not have food? or is it just expensive...? Hmm, I guess I'll find out later"

Eric looked at the monster and told Nabu to wait, he then went back to his new hut, that looked lonely in the lower tier parts of this tribe, he then threw it at a corner and closed the door, and as he did, he looked at this sorry of an excuse of a door and chuckled, and then looked at the open windows in his new house that had no covers other than stitched sheets, he then thought "It's fine if it's gone, then I can cause trouble" and so he left after looking around at the other huts nearby, and as he saw nobody, he then left with Nabu who looked at him oddly, he then asked what happens if someone steals his stuff, and Nabu said "Depending on the persson, if they can pay it back, then there but they will be whipped fir punishment, and if they cannot pay it back, they become your slave for an amount of time, and the time depends, if it's 1 utip, then there you're slave for 6 months" and he heard that, he thought "Cool" and Nabu showed him places where he could buy and sell food, whether it was monster food or regular food, he then showed him to a blacksmith, then a vendor where he could sell crystals he gets from monsters, and as he did, Eric went to the blacksmith and bought a battle axe, it wasn't as big as the other one as this one was almost the size of his body, but just a bit smaller, he bought it for 9 utips, he then thought about buying water, but the warrior told him that he could just get some from the well, as it was free, and he just had to buy a large water pouch and so he did, he bought 1 large one and one small one for 3 utips, and went to the well with Nabu, and he filled them both and was offered help if he needed with carrying everything and Eric smiled as he said "I'm all good" and as Nabu heard this, he thought the boy wanted to show off his strength, he then saw the boy dragging everything and so he ignored that as he walked to Erics home and as he got there, he asked "You have the right to change your name as you are technically a warrior? I have to register everything, but remember just 1 word, no family name, unless you register for that with utips, but that's such a waste" and Eric smiled as he said "Eric" and as he heard that, Nabu thought "Eric... he didn't like Tatulu? That was his original name, after all" and Nabu told Eric he should hire a guide to show him around outside of the tribe where he could find lower-tier monsters to make money soon, and he should start fast as winter is coming in a few months. Eric asked about his benefits of passing as young as he is and Nabu pointed at his house and said "This is it actually, to be more precise, it's location as it's usually worse, have you not seen how empty this is? And to be honest, the main rewards were from joining the warrior camp... but I do have some stuff" and as Eric heard this and saw the kinda empty place, he thought it was a nice reward, he then got some random stuff from Nabu saying this was from him and the extra reward as well and he smiled as he took them.
