1 Prologue

I stretched my arms wider and drammatically feel the cold and fresh wind of our province. For almost twelve years I'm back again. And I want to stay here forever.

"Excuse me, Ma'am Sad, your father is calling you, they're waiting already inside." A housemaid said.

I then stand up from sitting in one of our bench besides the wide grassland. In front of me are sheeps, horses and cows who were enjoying their lunch. I look at Ms. Mercy, she's one our oldest housemaid who serves my family now for ages.

"Alright, I'm coming." I said then smiled at Ms Mercy who smiled back.

I started walking while passing by our big narra trees. I even saw some of our men looking at my direction.

I am wearing a white spaghetti strap, highwaisted faded shorts and an ankle boots. My hair is loosely hanging and I didn't get much effort to tie it. My hair color is naturally golden brown. I'm petite and fair. Its summer thats why my brother and I decided to come home here in the philippines.My Dad doesn't want me to go home and he said that I should take college in Aukland too. I just graduated from senior high at one of the schools at Aukland. We do have a small apartment at Aukland and we were with our Aunt Glaiza, who is working at New Zeland.

My name is Adeline Sadie Rivera. My friends call me Ads while my family calls me Sad. My Dad is one of the richest haciendero in a province here in the philippines, he owns a big mango plantation farm and a ranch. My mom is here with Daddy and she is helping him managing the plantation. My older brother is 23 years old, he was with me in Aukland for almost 6 years. He graduated as a Suma Cum Laude in Civil Enginering at one of the prestige school in New Zeland. He's now preparing to take the board exam and just visited philippines to take some relaxation. He will immediately fly back to New Zeland for the board. While me? I wont. I will try my very best in convincing Mommy and Daddy that I wanted to stay here to study, for good. Actually there are some colleges here in the province that I could go and enrolled to, I might take agriculture so that one day I could help here. They might be convinced if that would be my reason.

I confidently walk inside our house. My Daddy is there in the sofa talking with some guy who I obviously dont know. I stop midstep when my eyes landed on that man my father is talking to. He was tall and gorgeous. I think he might be a year older than me or so. He was wearing a white v neck shirt, jeans and boots. His arms and long legs are making my inside burn. Man! This man is hot!

"Dad? You called me?" I compose myself while asking and nearing them. The man glance at me. I almost caught my breath when his eyes landed on mine. This man have a very pointed nose! And his eyes were sparkly gorgeous!

"Yeah I did, sweetheart this is Joseph Grayson Acharon, he's Mayor Acharon's eldest son. He wanted to learn farming thats why he's here. Gray, this is my daughter, Adeline Sadie Rivera, she just got back from New Zeland and she lived there for six years thats why you're not familiar with her." Daddy said.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Acharon." I said for formalities, even if I really wanted to call him on his first name. I quickly handed my hand while shaking his. My father laughed.

I look at my hand and how he accepted it with jaw clenched. I keep on smiling at him even if he's not smiling back.

"Well then, I should leave you Gray, I have something else to do in the ranch. Feel free to roam around and we'll start tomorrow." My father said while tapping Gray's back.

"Thank you so much sir."

Even his voice speaks manliness.

Daddy then eyed me, I smiled then he left, leaving the both of us, alone.

"Hey! So you're here to ask for my father's help. That's a good choice, my father is good when it comes to farming, I must say that you come at the right place." I joyfully said. He look away and started walking without looking at me.

"Aww. You're going? I can tour you in the farm if you want?" I said while following him and he was storming out.

He stop and then look back at me. I gulped looking at his irritated face.

"Look kid." I cringed at what he said.

"I'm done with my things here that's why I need to go and you should go back to what you were doing a while ago. I dont have all the day to baby sit." He said while slightly giving me that smug on his face! My jaw drop! The hell? He's so full of himself!

"I-Im not a k-kid. Hey Mister! Hear me!" I groaned when he just walk away. I'm incredibly pissed of him mocking me! Arrogant bastard! Does he think that he's so gorgeous- but he really is! Even so. He's rude!

I followed him outside. His Hilux car is parked in our wide parking space in front of our big house. He was opening the car's door when I called him again.

He heavily sighed and then glance at me boredly. . I solemnly swear that I'm not liking his rudeness anymore. What the hell was his problem?! I'm just being nice!

"What?" He lazily asked. I walk fastly into his direction. My blood boiled and the frustration is eating me!

That's why it didnt take much a second when I tiptoed and crashed my lips into his. He was suprised with what I did reason why he unconciously pushes me. His pupil dilated and I can see that he's totally mad.

"Why did you do that?" He asked angrily. He wipe on something from his lips with the back of his hand. I snorted..

"I'm already 18 so technically I'm not a kid anymore. What about you? How old are you ? 25, 27 or 30? Well, sorry Uncle but I didnt mean to kiss you. My bad." I smirked and fakely apologized. I then turn my back on him looking annoyed and shocked with what I did.

Serves you right!. Grumpy oldy Gray! I grinned.
