13 Chapter 12( Something)

I was in awe while staring at Grayson nearing us. Its been weeks and I'll honestlt admit that I feel so lonely not seeing him. And now, as he materializes in front of me I realizes things. That I really like him and I think I'll forever stuck up with that.

"Maui! Introduce her!" I snap back from staring at Grayson and glance at Mau's sister. She was holding Grayson's arms tightly. I cant help but frowned.

"Tss. This is Adeline Rivera. Were friends . We took up the same course at RMMC" Mau replied.

I look at how Mau's sister grinned. She elbowed Grayson. I glance at Grayson's way and realizes that he's looking at me intentlty making me look away. The girl still keeps on elbowing Graysons. He cleared his throat and I cant help but be amazed looking at him frowning.

"Stop it Kai. They're friends and nothing else. Why dont you entertain your guest instead" Grayson said.

The girl rolled her eyes. After that she glances at me with her sweet smile.

"By the way I'm Kaizer Acharon. I'm their eldest and its my 29th birthday today"

I tried to smile and nodded.

"Oh! Happy birthday. Uhm, I, I'm sorry but I forgot to bring you a present..like really, I didn't mean to just come here empty-handed" I said explaining to her.

Mau on my side laughed. I laughed fakely and glance at him. I glared at him and how he only bit his lip to stop his self for smiling more.

"Kai doesn't like gifts. So its still a win-win for you"

My gazed found Grayson talking. He was staring at his brother with jaw clenched before he glance at my direction.

Kaizer, their sister, laughed. "Yeah I dont like gifts. But seriously Maui, you need to come with me cause I wanted to show you something" Kaizer said.

"What? No. I'll stay here. No one will accompany Adeline here"

"Your brother is here Maui dont be so dumb" Her sister replied.

"But isn't Glare's here? Shouldn't he accompany her fiancee more?"

I pinch my hand hearing that word again..

"She's not my fiancee Mau. I know that its clear that you know that" Grayson darkly replied.

Mau scoffed. "Really kuya? Who told you that then?"

I cant help but notice how Grayson's expression changed.Their sister then cleared her throat. Stopping such akward situation..

"You two stop it. Mau, the deals off, there will be no engagement thing that will happened" Kaizer said.

"And what could be the reasons then? Did Glare called it off? Or was it you Kuya? You ditch her didn't you?" Mau aggresively said.

I almost wanted to poke his head for acting like that. This idiot is showing his horn off to his older brother.

A tension is circulating the air when suddenly their mother showed up. Kaizer heavily groaned and rolled her eyes.

"Whats happening here Kaizer? Are your brothers fighting?" Their mother immediately asked.

"They're not Mom"

"Mau come on?" Kaizer said gazing back at Mau.

I look at Mau and how he coldy look at his brother before he left with his sister.

Thats when I realize that I was left with Grayson and his mother. How should I exit here? The idiot brought me here but then he's with his sister right now. What will I do? Come on think!

"Sorry about what happened a while ago Ms. Rivera. Am I right? You're Ms. Rivera?"

My hearbeat doubled and I nodded immediately at Mrs. Acharon.

"You're Orlando and Vivian's daughter then?"

"Yes Madam"

She smiled and glance at his son.

"Please do understand Mauivrick, Gray" Her mother said.

I bit my lip feeling a little bit uncomfortable while listening to them talking. I wanted so bad to walk away but then I couldnt even do it. It would be inappropriate and so disrespectful.

"Feel free to eat. Were serving italian foods for this event. I hope you'll like it. I'll leave you with my son Ms. Rivera" Mrs Acharon said before she stared at me for one last time then to her son.

I almost forgot how to breathe! Such a way to start my night. I keep on pinching my hand, a move that I keep on doing the moment I entered their home and right now I'm so damn thirsty. I felt like my throat has been dried for ages.

I glance at Grayson, this time trying to be brave to stand his presence. He's the only person now that I know from here aside from Mau, who god-knows what happened to him after his sister take him away.

I cleared my throat and touch my neck. He glance at me while standing tall.

"Since when you've become friends with my brother?" He suddenly aksed.

I dont know if I'll answer him or what but then I dont think theres a reason not to.

"Uh, actually, were not really close. We just talk recently and he...just out of nowhere invited me to such party. And here I am" I said trying to make the air lighter.

He nodded without looking at me. I took that as a chance to look at him. His one hand is on his pocket. His wearing a black tux and his tie were kinda loosen. His lips,expressive eyes and pointed nose are on point. He then gazed back at me making me flinch and look away. What am I doing? I maybe look like and idiot staring at him! I bit my lip and closed my eyes..

"Are you hungry?"

I shake my head off even if the truth is I'm really hungry.

"I'm kinda full. I've eaten some snack way back home so" I replied.

"Didn't see you that much. Busy with school stuffs?"

I cant help but look at him with wide eyes. The next queation is so far from what we were just taking about. Why is he asking that? Is he somewhat looking for me? But I dont think so. Maybe I'm just trying to recreate scenes again on my mind. Grayson might be just wondering why I'm not at home. Maybe thats it. Yeah that could be the reason.

I tried to laugh to make the air lighter, hiding the idea that I'm already sweating bullets.

"Uh, I spend most of my time in my bestfriends house. And I was kinda bored on our house doing nothing. Thats why"

I look at him and how he only look at me with those set of dark eyes.

"Maybe I'll teach you horseback riding then, so that you wont be bored" He said it like nothing while i felt like fainting where am I standing.

With wide eyes I glance at him. The way he said those words were kinda surprising. The way I felt hearing those words is something special. I know that maybe I have forgotten some accurate ways in horseback riding, and I can ask for our people's help but Grayson's offer is a lot much better.

Hearing those words from him lifted my spirit up. I cant help but smile all the time.

He look at me and his lips twitched. I bit my lip and look away, feeling a little bit giddy as of the moment.

But. I stop myself from smiling when I remember one thing.

I cleared my throat and glance at him.

"What about your fiancee? Would she like the idea of you teaching me things?" I cant help but asked.

I wanted to curse myself for asking such question. I just wanted to figure things out. What Glare has told me might be different from Grayson's point of view. If she's lying then...

I glance at Grayson and saw him smirking.

"Haven't I told you before?I dont have a fiancee. Glare's just a family friend and nothing else" He replied which made me hope for more.

I wanted to shout or smile because of happiness but I stop myself.

My thoughts were interrupted when a waiter passes by, holding drinks. I cant help but gulped while looking at it.

"Come with me. I'll get you some foods"

I glance back at Grayson looking confused. My eyes slightly widened when I realize what he said, and later on chose to nod. Probably because I'm very hungry for now.

He accompanied me to the buffet table. I know for sure that my cheeks are flushing right now, looking at Grayson, holding my plate and picking foods that I wanted.

I cant help but bit my lip more. I dont know. I dont want to assume something but looking at how he's treating me, I know that there's something. And I'm really hoping for that something so much. So much that I dont care if I'll get hurt one day.
