11 Chapter 10( Blackmailed)

"You knew from the very beginning how dangerous that man is Orlando! What were you thinking?!"

My footstep slowed down when I heard my parents voices on the kitchen. It looks like they're arguing or something.

"I know Vivian but I already told you, I have things figured out. Dont worry about it okay?"

"What do you mean not to worry? Are you serious right now Orlando? They believe that you did such thing when in fact you dont! That family has no mercy even if you say that Third is on your side!"

I immediately move closer to hear what they were fighting about. They dont fight that often and to see them fighting now is different. My brother told me to keep an eye with my parents. I need to atleast do my part.

"Mom, Dad? Are you two fighting?" I suddenly butt in.

Both of them stop looking shocked.

Dad chose to turn his back and get some cold drink in the refrigerator while Mom smiled and move closer.

"I-Its nothing sweety. W-we were just talking about s-something" She said.

I look at her then to Dad. I really heard some of that part but what catch my interest is the man named Third. Who is that man? And how is he included on the things that may parents were arguing a while ago? Is this about some business associates? Most of the time I heard from my Aunt Glaiza that my family is dealing with business competitors and there are times that problems occur.

"Are you going to school now? Lets have some breakfast first" Mommy said.

I slowly nodded at her. I followed them into the dining table.

"Dad" I uttered.

"I have some business to attend to this morning. Lets talk after dinner" Daddy said cutting me off without looking back at me.I bit my lip and then nodded.

The breakfast ended good. I was about to stood up when Daddy came nearer, kiss my forehead and left the house.

I look at Mom and saw that she's preparing too. I guess I dont have a choice but to wait for dinner. If Daddy will still talk about it.

The class seems fine. The schedule for this week were kinda hectic, its because programs were already proposed by the schools for the upcoming school festival days and teachers were told to finish all preliminary examinations of every department.

Its been three weeks too. Since I last saw Grayson. I decided to stay away from him from now on. During my free time at noon I chose to go at Bexley's house instead of going home. I'll kinda admit that I'm starting to get bored going back in there. Its just me and Bexley at their big lonely house. Her parents were always out of town because of work. Bexley is just with their housemaids and guards.

Were kinda they same actually. Both of my parents are busy too and we dont usually hang out. Maybe we did. But during breakfast ot sometimes, dinner.

I sighed and just get my things. The peaceful kiosk besides a big narra tree is tempting. Its a miracle to see fewer students on the field. Maybe because most of the students participated for the upcoming festival days and its just me who declined to do so. Even Vin is really busy. We never get the chance to hang out cause he's really busy with the program. He was once afterall, the SSC president.

I already brought some snacks from the canteen thats why I dont have anything to do much anymore. I opened my macbook and just started answering our assignment from one of our major subject. I also borrowed some books on the library a while ago.

I was about to start flipping the book when someone arrived and comfortably seated on the space in front of me.

I look up and saw that it was Mr. Acharon.. The other Acharon. What's with their similar surnames? It felt weird.

My eyebrows twitched for confusion.

For the past weeks since that incident happened, when he just walk out when I ask for his relationship with Grayson, this guy never did once talk to me. This would be the very first time.

I tried to look around, searching for his friends and admirers. Maybe they have some plan to annoy me or what.

I sighed and decided to get my things. I'll probably just find any place far from here.

His brows furrowed and he look up.

"Where are you going?" He thickly asked.

"I'll find another vacant place. You can have it with your group. I wont mind" I said while smiling.

He scoffed. I glance back at him confuse on his reaction.

"They're not with me right now cause they have some business to attend to. That's why feel free to sit with me"

I stared at him with brows furrowed. His wearing a black leather jacket with a gray shirt inside. His diamond earring on his left ear shines. He really look like Grayson. A younger version and immature one.

"What are you waiting for? Sit" He added.

I dont have a choice but to be seated. I guess I'll just focus with my work and dont mind him.

Minutes passed. I glance at him and he was only playing mobile games which somehow kinda distracting me. I snap at it and cleared my throat.

I cant help but mind his business.

"Are you done with our assignment?" I asked him. He glance at my direction and his forehead crease.

"What assignment?"

"The one with Professor Tesorio?"

He grimaced after what I've said. This idiot.

"She's been teaching us? Since when?"

I scoffed at him unbelievably. What was this idiot talking?

"Are you serious?" I asked at him unbelievably.

He shrugg his shoulders off and then acted thinking.

"Uh, yes? "

I gapsed while looking at him with disappointment. I then closed my eyes and just sighed.

"Forget it. I need to do mine so I wont be like you." I murmured the last word.

He stop playing with his phone then look at me.

"What kind of assignment was that? I'm pretty sure that I already finishes that one. I'm hardworking just so you know."

Folding my arms while looking at him I again sighed. If I were to judge him base on how he looks I can say that he's a typical rich boy with a stupid mind. Yeah. Stupid.

"So you're saying that you're studious? Is that it?"

"Ofcourse I am. What do you think of me? It doesn't mean that I'm cool I'm not that smart. Tss. I'm telling you, not all nerdy types of guy is smart, and not all handsome one are stupid. Think of me as the very first exception of it" He proudly said.

I snorted while staring at him. Well. He's right, his cool and gorgeous too. His expressive eyes, thick eyelashes, pointed nose and left cheek dimple is really something. But he's so full of himself and really stupid.

"If that's it then. What is the answer for number three of item two?" I said while hiding some smile.

He scoffed. "Couldn't be more harder?" He then cleared his throat.

I grin while looking at him trying to answer my question. He even tried to open his books and all but nothing came out from his mouth.

"So?"

He fakely laughed and scoff. He touch his neck and tried to cracked it, making me almost burst out laughing.

He glance at me thats why I tried to look at him with a serious expression.

"Dude! Where have you been? We were looking for you everywhere! Christy already told us to meet her at the canteen. She said she'll gonna help us with the Algebra!" A guy from his group of friends said.

I tilted my head and saw the other group of boys coming. Someone then added saying

"Merry Christy is God's gift to us. We love you so much Christy!" And the boys started laughing.

I cleared my throat making them look at my direction.They stop talking with a confuse look. They glance back at Mau, as far as I remember his name and they all started whispering something.

I shake my head while looking at all of them. I gazed back, suprised when Mau, talk.

"Idiots! What are you talking about Christy helping us? That scheming witch of a cousin of mine would never offer help. And besides....I can answer it. Have you forgotten how good I am when it comes to Math?" He said.

"Huh? You failed the test yesterday right?" A guy with a wavy hair said.

"Stupid Evan. He must out of his mind. Mau might kill him right now." I heard someone said.

I look at them and saw how Mau looks at that friend with daggers.

I laughed a little which made their heads look at my direction.

"By the way, why are you with Ms Rivera? Are you guys..seeing each other?" A guy with a chinky eyes said.

My eyes landed on Mau and he seems that his mind is somewhere. I chuckled.. maybe he really is so embarrassed right now.

"Hmm? Me? I was with Mau cause I asked him for our assignment. And by the way, he's really good"

I said while emphasizing the last word.

Mau snap at my direction and he stood up. I almost laugh looking at his annoyed expression.

"Where are you going?" His friend asked.

"I need to get some fresh air" He said with gritted teeth. His friend were already laughing at him but then they all stop when Mau glance back at their direction.

"What? Do you guys want fight?" He asked,pissed.

Idiots. I burst out laughing while looking at them. The guys shake their heads like puppies,afraid of Mau's words.This guy is so hot tempered. He cant answer the questions, he seems annoyed that's why he'll just choose to have fist fights.

I shake my head while smiling. Mau then turn his back, walking away from his friends. And obviously the rest of the groups followed him. They look like chicks and Mau's their mother. I sighed when I glance at Mau's back. He's tall. He was one of the tallest member of his friends and I heard how popular he is with the school.

I also believe that he really is related with Grayson, I saw him one day pick up by an suv with three guards, and I heard voices talking about the Mayor's party for Mau's sister.

I suddenly feel that lonely feeling again. Its true that I'm kinda avoiding crossing paths with Grayson because of what happened but I cant help but feel so sad.

I sighed and pouted. I flinch when someone smash the table. I look at Mau with a confuse look.He look kinda nervous but he's still keeping his cool.

"What?" I asked.

He cleared his throat and look elsewhere. Looking at his features now I can say that he really is good looking. I know that I already said it a while ago but I cant help to say it again.

His thick eyebrows, expressive eyes, pointed nose and clean cut hair were really one of those things girls on this school is dying for.

"Do you have plans for tomorrow?" He asked.

"Uh? No? Why?"

Its the start of the festival tomorrow and everyone is not really required to attend for the opening. And I know for sure that I wont come.

He then glance at my direction and tap the table with his left hand.

"I want to invite you for a party"

My mouth slightly opened for a sudden shock and my eyebrows twitched.

"What? Are you serious?" I asked a little bit laughing with what he said.

"Yes I am. Why are you laughing? What's wrong with inviting you for parties? And besides, its a formal party. Why? Would someone get mad? I can asked for permission from your parents if you want"

I look at him with disbelief.

I laughed. "Uh. Duh? Were not close? And its a formal party, isn't it a bit weird if you're really going to invite me?

He bit his lip and shrugg.

"I dont see no wrong with that. And the reason why I am inviting you is because I want to be close with you. Could it be enough reason for me to say?" He said while looking at me with a taunting smirk.

For a moment I went speechless. I feel like my cheeks are blushing or something. The way he grinned at me is really making me uncomfortable.

"What if I wont come? And, m-maybe I'll have things figure out tomorrow, what if I need to go somewhere then"

I replied instead. Is he crazy? This could be the very first time we talked with each other and then he'll suddenly invite me with a party? And not just party but a formal one! What will everybody thinks? They might think again that I'm some snail sticking into Mau.

He smirk and lean forward. I slightly taken a back with his sudden move.

"Then I'll force you? I'll publicly announce here that we are dating." He said as his eyes roam around the schools field. My eyes widened.

"Are you some psycho? Your gonna blackmail me and leaving me with no choice! Whichever I chose,I still gonna be associated with you! Are you mad?!" I asked in an annoyed way.

Mau, the idiot, just grin and shrugg.

"Then I'll suggest you choose the first one. Besides, I'll be introducing you as a friend. My mom have told me to invite my friends thats why I'm inviting you. I want to be your friend. It could be more less appealing than the latter"

I bit my lip and frustratedly sighed. I look back at him and saw that he's grinning. What was this guy up for? I did not bully him as far as I remember. He's messing with me. I am so sure of that.

"Fine! But this will be the last that I'm going to fulfill what you wanted" I said defeated.

"Well thats great! See you at six. I'll come and pick you up"

I immediately shake my head off.

"Dont"

Mom and Dad might asked me if who I am with. I dont want to complicate things more by them asking questions

"I'll have my driver, lets just meet here"

His lips twisted for questions but then he eventually nodded.

"Alright then"

After that he turn his back.

I sighed thinking about what I have done. Urgh! What if I'm making a mistake? The idiot caught me on fire! Damn it!

I frustratedly open my mac and tried to focus in answering my assignment.

What a day!
