50 Suspicions

It's been about two days, or I assume based on the number of meals I've gotten, since I was captured; this usually given to me through a small door on the side of the actual door. I'm being given a meager amount of food, and the food is also slightly poisoned. Which, in my opinion, is a stupid move. I can't get poisoned, at least not by this. And the poison itself turns into more nutrients.

However even that is not enough, I'm constantly hungry and both my stomach and my body hurts. Nobody has come in either. I sigh. What the fuck are they doing?! Just get this over with. I know I can't beat them so I'll at least take out the next person that-

The door opens, now's my chance. I get out of my bed, which almost makes me fall over due to the lack of food but I keep going nonetheless. I run towards the person that opens the door with magic ready... what I see in front of me confuses me, it's Tara.

But Tara is dead, I see so they are. The person closes the door behind them... I keep on running and what was going to be a punch turned into an embrace. I start tearing up.

"...There, there." ("Tara")

I know it's not real, I know it's not real but...

...Get yourself together.

"FUCK!" (Luis)

With the embrace, I try igniting my hands again in order to burn whoever was imitating Tara but they easily got off and kicked me away.

"What's wrong with you?! Why did you try to do that?!" ("Tara")

"Shut up! I know that person doesn't exist anymore in this world! I know that better than anyone! Is this your way of doing what you said!" (Luis)

Is this how they brainwash people?... This is too much for me, my tears keep on streaming down. The person makes a troubled face.

"Why do you think we'll brainwash you?" ("Tara")

?? Is she saying that she won't?...No, she must be lying. First of all, why would she try to imitate someone else in order for me to let my guard down? How did she even know about Tara, to begin with? The only ones who may have known about her were Lotus Flower.

"You know Lotus Flower!?" ("Tara")

"Shut up! I'm not stupid! Stop pretending!" (Luis)

What looked like Tara instantly changed into a slightly taller blonde girl that looked like a woman in her twenties. She is slim and was wearing some jeans and a blouse.

"So that's what you look like then," I say preparing my flame fist again and glaring at her.

"Listen kid, first of all, you are no match for me and you already know it." ("Tara")

"Of course I know! But even so! I will struggle until the end!" I jump forward to try and hit her with my flame fist. She easily dodges and pins me on the ground. I can't make her let me go no matter how much I move.

"You shouldn't interrupt adults when they are talking you know. Now, as I was saying. Secondly, we are not Lotus Flower."

"Why would I believe you?! You haven't given me a single reason to do so. You've kept me locked up in here for who knows how long! You give me poisoned food and you have this room drain my magical power." (Luis)

"...I guess you would suspect us if that were the case."

<I'm surprised he found out about the poisoned food. What is with this kid, also, why did he eat it so nonchalantly then?>("Tara")

"Exactly, so just get over with this stupid brainwashing!" (Luis)

I spit in her direction but she dodges and lands back on me.

"Did you just try to-" She makes a fist on her hand. The door opens and closes and a silver-haired woman comes in to stop her faster than I could see and moves her over to the wall. I really couldn't see anything, what the fuck was that?

"Don't stop me Rose! I'm gonna kick this kid's ass for trying to spit on me!" ("Tara)

"Calm down Lily, I don't think fighting him is the answer right now."(Rose)

So that blonde chick's name is Lily. I stand back up and get into a combat stance.

"What do you guys want?" (Luis)

"...Well, for now, to be your friends." (Rose)

This bitch says she wants to be friends. Fuck her! I'm not trusting anybody with intentions like that again. I'm not stupid enough to fall for something like that again.

"Shut the fuck up! What do you actually want! Tell me! Kill me! Or beat me and leave!" (Luis)

"..."

That last sentence made them completely silence. They both had extremely troubled faces and didn't know what to say. They have a good act going, don't they? I go forward but this time just fall by myself. Fuck! I'm so hungry! I don't have much strength in my body after what I did before and the fact that I use fatigue relieving magic instinctively.

"Shit!" I try to stand back up and do so lousily.

<What the hell do you think happened to this kid that made him think like this> (Lily)

< I don't know. But this child must've gone through something if he's this distrustful of people> (Rose)

<It's fine, it may have made him more wary of us but let's just leave for now. We come back another time>

"In that case, we'll be leaving, but it looks like we don't need to beat you for that though."(Rose)

"Huh?" (Luis)

The answer to my statement before?

"Who says I'm letting you go without a -" Before I could finish that sentence the silver-haired woman appeared in front of me and the next moment I was on the bed.

"See, no fighting required." (Silver-haired)

I try getting back up but she put her hand on my head.

[White eyes]

The next thing I know I can't see anything. I can still sense them though, they can't get away. I try punching her again but the blonde girl was faster than me.

"What are you trying to do to Rose!" She says as she grabs my hand.

"Drop it, Lily, let's just go." (Rose)

"Tch..."

She lets my hand go and they both leave through the door. I stay lying on the bed! Fuck! I can't even beat the people they send to check on me. Honestly, just how weak can I be?

Vision returns to my eyes...Even if I can't beat them, I'm still going to escape. Where they trying to make me give up by showing how much strength they possess. I'll show them that even someone weak like me can do something if we try!

Two women are walking down a hallway as they discuss what happened in a recent meeting with the new person they've contained

"That kid, it's honestly annoying trying to lay his hands on my Rose!" (Lily)

"Now, Now, You could see it too right? Something must've happened to him."

"...I guess. Couldn't I just discover it though? I could easily just ask him and he would think of the answers anyway." (Lily)

"That may be, but we're trying to recruit him first and foremost. You can sense it too right?"

"The massive amount of magic coming from him?... I guess that makes him somewhat special."

"Not somewhat, very. I don't know why he and Argus were fighting and almost got killed for it but we have to bring him to our side if he has that much potential."

"So why can't we get the answers from him then?"

"I can see that he's a cunning kid. If we somehow find out about what happened to him without him telling us then he'll be even more distrustful of people."

"I guess... I really should've thought that. What are we going to say to our superiors though?"

"Let's try to think up something. We can't let them have their way with him."

"Okay! This is why I love my Rose!" She says as she hugs Rose

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go."
