Chapter 2

The world left shattered had no winners but only losers. Rick was a school teacher, with geography as his major. His Sons, Dan & Bran were fortunate enough to study in the same school he taught. Rick was a single father, he lost his wife to the birth of his second son and never remarried. He dedicated his life to his profession and raising the kids.

It was mid June when the papers and the media started reporting the tensions between the east and the west. Reluctant as he was President Donald Trump was unwilling to negotiate a deal. It was the might east flexing it's muscles and strong arming the west. What the west failed at gather Intel, was that behind all the diplomacy, the sheer financial and military support of China and Russia gave North Korea the opportunity to grow it's missile program in noticed.

25th of April 2021

Underground Research Facility, 25kms from Pyongyang

1500 Hours.

Dr. Chow, a Senior nuclear physicist from the Pyongyang University of Science & Technology. Worked with a team of 45 engineers, on perfecting the designs for a compact nuclear warhead that would be able to fit onto the KN-08 missile.

Trusted by his colleagues, Dr. Chow helped designed the guidance system chip that would help guide the warhead to it's target with pin point accuracy. In the history of the Kim dynasty, never had North Korea possessed such technology.

"Dr. Chow to report to the War Room immediately" announced the PA system. Doctor who was in his radioactive suit, walked towards the decontamination airlock and started to undress. He put on his labcoat got a hold of his keycard and clipboard from the locker and walked up towards the stairs. He looked around and increased his pace once he figured that Chairman Kim was visiting to overlook the progress and the entire leadership was called upon to provide an update.

Dr. Chow got into the War room, an old society era, wooden finished. In the middle of the room stood a 21 seater table, chairs on either sides and the head of the table was reserved for Chairman Kim, on the other end was a wall of monitors.

"Please have a seat Dr. Chow" said Marshal Lie. The room was completely filled with unknown faces and it being dimly lit didn't help the cause. The doctor felt uneasy and tensed. The members kept to themselves and waited for the arrival of Chairman Kim.
