The journey to the immortal assembly was long. Hatzu traveled in the mortal fashion with several others who wished to attend. After crossing the water two wagons headed north in a train. To the rear Hatzu sat crossed legged pulling the spirit of the multi-elemental dragon into his Qi channels.

The book left by the junior cultivator showed how to craft weapons with spiritual beast that could replicate powerful and destructive skills available even to humans. As such Hatzu adapted the research and began carving runes alone his Qi channels. The cracked core also took on several runes and seals to prepare. Finally, as they neared the capital city, he felt confident to solidify his core.

In his fight with the Nascent soul he noticed the difference between his core and a true soul. After unsealing the dragon's soul, he spent seven days and nights cultivating it before leaving his carriage glowing with confidence in his ability to advance.

"Master!" The group yelled elated to see him.

"Today is the assembly should we go and present our coins?" Troy asked bringing a drink to Hatzu.

"Yes, today we shall show the strength of mortals." Hatzu spoke softly. "I will not fight though."

As Hatzu took a drink the group went nuts "What do you mean?" They asked.

"I mean I have recently advanced and you would all loose your chance, if I where to compete that is."

Amongst the group only one member looked shock, that was Sarah. She understood as an immortal the time what it takes cultivators to advance. It is said that each stage a cultivator should take no less than 100 years.

She herself only recently advanced to late foundation and expected 100 years would be required to develop her core. Yet this mortal managed to reach nascent soul in less than twenty years.

"Congrats master!" They all yelled joyously.

"After I have solved the unknowns, I will document the path for others in the future." Hatzu said finishing his drink.
