The King is bedridden, and the nobles are split into factions, fighting over the succession of the crown. Right in the middle is me. Kalden Ruth. The second son of a Duke. And I just pissed off the second prince — one of the two contenders of the throne. His supporters want me gone. And the Prince's mother, the second empress gave a bankrupt fief to rule in the hopes I would die by the hands of an angry mob.
