7 Fifth Nightfall: Part Two - The Jewelry

The night sky was fine and light as she looks up above. Makes her feel at ease and relax that made her smile as she continues watching it into silence.

"Aren't you afraid?" suddenly someone speaks up by her side.

"I am," she answered without hesitation.

She heard her sighs heavily. "I don't know what to say to you." she answered in defeat that made her smile.

"You," she looks at her. "Will support me till the end."

She scoffs. "Do you really think that I will do that for you?! Hah! Never! You're on your own!"

She smiles. "Well, if that's the case then, thank you."

"What for?" she irritably asked.

"Just…" she answered and shrugs her shoulder. "Anyway, I should be ready. And you, after the binding, give that jewelry to our Lady." She said and was about to go back in when her twin sister stops her.

"I know… I'm a bit… bad and stubborn still…" she pauses and looks at her seriously. "Be safe. And be sure it will really work." Then hold her hands "Yeah, right… I'll be there when the right time comes."

She smiles and hugs her tight. "I know. I trust you."

… … …

Present…

"Stop struggling." Carl Vincent commanded rather than saying it with please though, "let it be for just a while. Please." This time he said it in a warm tone that made her heart ease and happy.

That night, Yna let herself be close to him as they let their hearts sync as one a stolen moment that only the nightfall could witness.

Afterwards,

Both of them silently stare at the night sky as they sit at the cliff far from the Crimson Mansion. They both decided to talk for the last time, far from the Mansion. Hoping Carl Vincent would finally live her alone though, will it be the same if he really never showed up?

"Why you came?" she breaks the silence.

"To check on you."

She sighs. "You knew it, right?"

"Yes."

"…"

Silence.

"What happened?" He curiously asked that breaks the silence. "It is because of your transfer at the Academy?"

"It's not."

"Then what?"

Silence once again surrounds them. Yna cannot tell nor can lie about the truth so she chooses to keep quiet rather than explaining the unexplainable things that happens to her.

Then she looks up above the night sky where she can view the stars above. When suddenly, she feels Carl Vincent's hand reaches out her hand to hold that made her to look back at him.

"Vince?"

"It seems you have something that you couldn't tell nor couldn't lie." He said. "And I do understand that, because I have the same thing."

"What do you mean?"

"Things that hardly to understand and hardly to explain…"

She takes a deep breath. "It seems we still didn't know each other that much."

"Will that be matter?"

"…" she chooses not to answer it and took off her hand out of his hand. "I have to go back."

"Yna---"

"Go home."

Silence.

"Why do you always pushing me away?" he asked and she definitely felt his pain though.

"It's getting late." She answered as she forces a smile while looking at him. "And I'm tired. You knew that I just came home from the hospital, so."

He looks at her with concern. "Yeah, you were right. You have to go back." He stands up. "I'll send you back."

"No---" she was cut when he suddenly lifts her up and in a second they were at the back of the Crimson Mansion.

"Good night, Yna." He said before giving her a light kiss in her forehead then left in rush without letting her to speak.

'What…' all she could silently say as she watches the empty trail that he passed through.

… … …

At the corner of the Crimson Mansion

A pair of cold eyes silently watching Yna and Carl Vincent as the two went out and comes back at the Mansion. She just stood there watching and never let herself to come between those two not unless it will be order.

"Sam," a voice of a woman called upon her.

"Yes?"

"How is she?"

"She's fine."

"What's the development?"

"She isn't fully awake."

Silence.

"That will be good." voice said after the silence.

"But…"

"What?"

"The son of the first born Lodernbergh was trying to court the lady. And it seems he was ready to cut off the commitment that his father and the Crimson family did for them."

"You have to stop it!" the voice ordered. "This isn't the right time for our Lady to be sway with those feelings. And he, he also has his own journey to attain in order for him to awake. For that reason, we couldn't risk anything to ruin it, it isn't the right time. You have to move."

"Yes, I'll do as you said."

… … …

Yna suddenly felt cold as she goes on at the corridor. As if, something or someone was watching her and it isn't the shadow that she always felt, it's different. Though, she cannot figure out who and where it is. Figuring it, she immediately walks back to her room before it gets worst.

… … …

A dream…

"Wear this ring." A woman says that made her to look up into her face.

"Why?"

"It will protect you."

She stares on it for a while before she refuses. "I don't need that."

"You need this."

"No! And besides, I can protect myself. And he will never let me get into trouble."

"But still… you should wear this."

"No!"

She sighs heavily. "My Lady."

"¡No es un no, está bien!" she exclaimed before she walks out.

"My Lady!" she tried to stop her but she failed and silently watches her Lady as she vanished to her sight. "Algún día, este anillo te protegerá. Y cuando llegue ese momento, siempre estaré a tu lado pase lo que pase." She said while holding the ring onto her hand.
