2 His and Her Circumstances

Alec couldn't believe she just fell asleep like that. He was in the middle of explaining the situation when her breathing told him she had gone to the dreamworld.

He looked at his newly found mate - yes, mate - as she lay there peacefully inside his arms.

He was misdirected by the fact that it was a full moon when he saw her - lycanthropes tend to go a little crazy during full moons - and thought that the raging desire that erupted inside of him was just the effect of the moon, even her scent is like aphrodisiac to him, but the minute he touched her, he knew he found his mate.

Strands of her long wavy hair fell freely about her face, his hand moved to brush them back. God, she's beautiful. The bags under her eyes didn't mar her beauty. She looked spent but thoroughly satisfied. He smirked arrogantly at that notion.

He couldn't help but stare at the woman in his arms. He was fascinated. All his life he tried not to think about the existence of his fated lover. The feeling of not having the freedom to choose his partner just didn't sit well with a stubborn lycan like him. For thirty-three years he was dreading her appearance, but now that he had her in her arms, known the taste and feel of her, he's just... glad. To be honest, that was an understatement. He was beyond ecstatic. Sure, having a human as a mate has its downsides - like she could reject him for instance, but he was determined to make her his. She might not be compelled by her instincts to be with him like lycans do, but it's a fact that mates have perfect compatibility.

Though she needed more stamina, he thought as he looked down at his lower half - still raring to go. He chuckled in spite of himself. He was her first man. He couldn't wipe off the stupid grin on his face then. He didn't think it would bother him if his mate had lain with other men before, it's not like he's a virgin anyway, but seeing and having her in front of him like this filled him with such fierce possessiveness he could hardly recognize himself.

He held her closer and kissed her forehead.

She let out a little sigh and snuggled to get closer to his heat.

He groaned. Her soft breasts pressed against his chest and all he could think about was making wild, passionate love to her. It's their first night together under the full moon and she was sound asleep! If the pack gets the wind of this, they'll be sure to never let him live it down.

He took deep breaths to calm himself down but to no avail, his junior refused to back down. It's her scent. His body's reacting to the fragrance of her body, keeping his desires on fire. He's afraid he wouldn't be able to keep his hands off of her if he stayed any longer.

He slowly slipped out from the large sofa. He picked up one of the throw pillows on the floor and gently put it under her head.

The lights were still not back on but that doesn't bother a lycan like him. They could perfectly see in the dark. He went to the bedroom and he came back with a blanket in tow. He covered her up from the neck down, making sure she wouldn't get cold. Hell, he wanted to warm her up himself but at the rate his body's reacting to her, she might get ravished.

He noticed the laptop at the center table with some memos of different colors. It had stickers on them with the letters M-A-I-A. "Maia," he said out loud.

"What?"

He was startled at her sudden answer, he quickly turned to her. It took him a couple of seconds to realize she was talking in her sleep. He shook his head at her antics. He picked a pen and wrote something on the memo pad for when she wakes up.

Before he turned to leave, he planted kiss on her slightly parted lips. She wrinkled her nose like it irritated her. He laughed, why was she so cute? He couldn't help but dip in for another kiss, he opened her mouth a little to taste her. He had never known such bliss. She sighed when the kiss ended.

"You won't get away this easily next time, Maia," he promised.

He locked the door before shifted back to his wolf form and closed the door behind him.

Maia woke up with the sunlight streaming through the glass window, hitting her face mercilessly. She grumbled and tried to get up and close the curtains when she felt the soreness of her body. She was hurting all over, but more alarmingly between her thighs and hips.

Memories of the night before came rushing to her. "Oh, God, it wasn't a dream..."

She frantically looked around, looking for any sign of a tall, sexy, handsome stranger anywhere inside the cabin. There was nothing but silence. She didn't know if she should be disappointed or not.

She looked down at the blanket wrapped around her and peeked inside. Both her shirt and underwear were completely torn and she had little scratches everywhere. He was licking her all over with his fangs out like that. Just remembering it made her feel hot. She was wheezing with embarrassment, she practically begged him to have sex with her.

She straightened her back all of a sudden. "Well, he was the one who seduced me, I am but an innocent victim in all of what happened," she reasoned out. "And how was I supposed to deny him when he looked like he could bite my head off - literally!"

But she wasn't afraid at that moment though, she contemplated. She was just... aroused. Aroused beyond belief. And she wanted him.

She could feel her face burning. God, she needed to calm down.

That's when she noticed the note on the center table. She hesitated a little, she couldn't make sense out of her own emotions. Was she anticipating something? Why was she not freaking out by the fact that she just had sex with a fucking werewolf?

With her heart and head in turmoil, she reached for the note and read:

I'll come for you.

- Alec

She read the message again just to make sure she had read it right. She bursted out laughing. "What is this, a suspense thriller? Or is it supposed to be romantic?" She laughed until her stomach hurt.

When she calmed down, she thought of the man-beast she met last night. He didn't seem to be the frivolous type. She wouldn't be surprised if he was actually just bad with words.

"Okay, Mr. Alec, I look forward to it, but I'm not staying here so come and find me."

Today, she would have to leave here and go back home. She just rented the place - a lovely log cabin in the middle of the mountains of Bukidnon - to help her concentrate on her novel.

She had been there for the past four days and on her last night, she encountered a giant dog outside her door, looking like it was in a lot of pain. She just wanted to help the poor animal, who would have thought it was a werewolf?
