10 It's not affection, I hate her

"You just show your affection towards her," Stefan pointed out as he walked back into the woods with Christian. After everything that happened at the Arena, Stefan and Christian took a ride to the woods that was close to the Mansion.

"It's not affection. I hate her and you know it," Christian pointed out and dropped his robe from his body. He further pulled off his pants and smiled at Stefan. "I'm just waiting for her to die! I don't care if she is alive or not! " Christian shouted and ran into the woods. He shifted into his wolf. A black wolf about 5'7 with deep blue eyes. Christian howled as he ran amongst the trees.

Stefan, who still had his angel powers spread out his flawless white wings and flew towards Christian. "You haven't shifted into your wolf for years, and I know that you are doing all of this because of her!" Stefan shouted loud enough for Christian to hear.

Christian growled at him and jumped to catch him, but Stefan flew higher and laughed at Christian. "Remember, I can only fly and you can't until she dies!" He teased him yet again.

Christian ignored him and continued running. He knew he had been stupid in front of all the Alphas and made a fool out of himself. He was blinded by emotion for the Omega. He had thought she was Veronica and made the mistake of saving her. He could have let her die so he could ascend to heaven, but Christian became foolish the moment he saw the blood on her chest.

An act of foolishness that affected him thousands of years ago. An act of foolishness that cost him his position and the throne.

Christian suddenly stopped running as the memories of the arena flashed in his head. He growled and raised his head to the sky. He howled loud enough to send the birds in the woods away from their terrority. After running for hours, he shifted back to a human and sat under a large tree. He rested his head and closed his eyes. "I need to be alone for a few minutes before we return to the mansion," he informed Stefan.

Stefan answered with a nod and left his side, but he made sure that he watched him from afar. Christian, on the other hand, thought sleeping under a tree would help him get rid of Katrina, but he couldn't. The memories he shared with Veronica began to play in his head. Christian remembered when Veronica had promised to stay with him forever.

"I love you," Veronica whispered to him. "I can't live without you!" she chuckled.

Those words made Christians fall foolishly. He fell in love with a woman who later betrayed him. "Why can't I stop thinking about her?" Christian eyes fluttered open. He yelled and jumped to his feet. "I shouldn't have acted like a fool today," he said as he examined the trees. "How am I supposed to get my revenge when I can't stop thinking about her?" He shouted and threw his hands up." I have to find a way to end her life. I need to get rid of her! " He shouted at no one in particular.

"You have until the next red noon." The words of the elders responded in his head and he screamed out like he was under attack.

Stefan and his guards rushed towards him from where they stood and looked around for any threats surrounding their king, but they found none. "What is going on, your highness?" Stefan demanded from him. "We thought you were under attack," he said.

"I'm fine," Christian scoffed, sighing. "Let's leave for the mansion," he ordered and walked away.

Stefan stared at his back as Christian walked away from him. He placed his head on his forehead and shook his head. "Why can't he admit that he wants her back?" he thought. "That would have been easier," he admitted.

''''''''''''

Christian and Stefan arrived at the Royal Mansion very late at night. It was almost midnight when they arrived, and as soon as Christian got out of the limousine, he rushed out and walked briskly to his room before Stefan could stop him and ask unnecessary questions. As soon as he was inside his room, he fell onto his bed and closed his eyes. The image of Veronica appeared yet again, and Christian yelled and jumped out of the bed. "Why can't I stop thinking about her?" He shouted and jumped out of his bed. "I'm I echanted?" He removed his robe and dumped it on the marble floor. "Why can't I get her off my head?" he questioned no one in particular and rubbed his forehead.

"What can't you stop thinking about?" Alisha, his fiancee, walked into the room. She lowered her head when she saw Christian's half-naked body. "You can't stop thinking about the woman who has the same face as your ex-lover?" She questioned

"What brought you to my room this night, Lady Alisha?" He demanded "I thought you would be asleep by now," he pointed out.

"Drop the honorifics, Christian," Alisha told him and moved closer to him. "I saw what happened at the arena today. You saved Veronica instead of letting her die.

Christian heaved a sigh and shook his head in response. "I didn't save Veronica," Christian tried to explain to the blue-haired woman. His purple eyes made contact with her dark brown eyes, and he smiled at her. "You know me by now, Alisha. We've been together ever since I was banished to earth. No one wants Veronica dead as much as I do," he assured her.

"Then you should have let her die in the arena. She doesn't deserve to be alive after all she has done to you! " Alisha raised her voice and quickly bowed her head in apology when she realized what she had done. "Apologise your highness," she said. "I let my emotions get the best of me."

"It's fine," Christian said to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. "You've been by my side for years and I appreciate that, but Veronica is my mate and I can't kill her myself without breaking the law of the moon goddess."

Alisha scoffed and removed Christian's hands from her shoulder. "That's a lie, Christian! You don't want to let her die because you have affection for her! " She stated

"I don't!" Christian yelled and grabbed his robe from the ground. "Why do you think that I have affection for her after all she has done?"

"Then you could have let her die!" Alisha yelled back. She moved closer to Christian and stared into his eyes that were void of emotions.

"I hate her!" Christian declared "I only did what a king would do to his servant!"

Alisha laughed and nodded in response. "Isn't fate funny?"

Christian stared at her, unable to fathom why she had said it. "She was once your servant and yet again, she returned as your servant," Alisha pointed out and paced around the room. "Can't you see that this is the elderly's way of never letting you go back to heaven?" Alisha pointed out. "They even made her your mate!"

Christian ruffled his hair and heaved a sigh. "Can you leave Alisha?" He requested "I had a long day."

"You don't want my company tonight?" Alisha winked at him and pulled her dress up, revealing her beautiful long pale legs. She winked at him, "We could go all night."

Christian swallowed a heavy lump. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Alisha. He grabbed her by the waist and captured her lips. In a few seconds, he had her on his bed with her hands pinned above her. "Yes, my dear, I need a distraction," Christian whispered and leaned in to kiss her.
