11 Playground

Adam and Alice sat down on a bright orange chair that was beside the train door while Adam looked around the filled train car, Adam looked towards Alice who was staring at a round red mirror on her hand while pointing it towards her new hairpin "There's a lot of people in this train."

"Yeah, this is the usual train in the Kingdom most people didn't have a chance to work in their Downtown so they went to work on the other Downtowns in the Kingdom, and thanks to their hard work the Kingdom and The King's Game can run smoothly," Alice explained as she closed the mirror that was on her left hand and slides it inside her left pocket jacket suit.

The train slowed down as beautiful bell chimes came from the roof of the train, Adam turned his head around and looked towards the wide display on top of the train door that says Playground.

"Okay here we are, Lion, let's get off the train." Alice looked towards Adam as she stands up from her chair, Adam quickly followed Alice and walked out from the train.

"Hey, Alice where are we? What is the Playground?" Adam asked as he looked towards Alice while the train behind them left the train station, leaving both of them who were the only two that gets off the train.

"It's a special place dedicated for contestants to train, let's go there's a pretty long tunnel that's connected to the Playground at the end of that staircase." Alice pointed towards a wide stone staircase that was a couple of meters in front of them.

Both of them walked towards the staircase and walked up to it, Adam looked straight ahead towards the long dark brick stone tunnel that has a bright light at the end of it "So what's this training place is like? Is it like a gym?"

"Well, it's pretty much like a gym if you think about it they got a lot of training facilities and trainers but it's not ordinary gym Lion, it's a gym that was made for The King's Game after all," Alice explained as both of them reached the end of the tunnel.

Adam and Alice walked trough the tunnel as Adam covered his eyes with his right hand from the bright light, he slowly opened his eyes and looked around "Wow this isn't what I imagined."

Adam looked around the large and bright concrete box that he was in that has a couple of floors above it that was connected by a large red metal staircase that was on its sides, Adam looked ahead and saw a large round wooden table that has a large spinning neon sign above it that spelled out Playground.

He looked towards each of the floor and saw a couple of signs hanging out form each of the floor "Martial arts corner, close weapon comber corner, long-range corner, sho-"

BOOM! Adam suddenly turns his back towards Alice and stands right in front of her as a large smoke of grey dust surrounded both of them, the smoke slowly settled down and Adam saw a shiny turquoise trident that was stuck on the broken concrete ground right where he was standing a couple of seconds ago.

Adam quickly looked towards where the trident flew from and saw a tall tan man who was wearing a white shirt that has a picture of a matador who was wearing a golden suit that has an accent of red on its suit that was holding a red cloth right in front of it, black loose pants that have a couple of pockets on its sides, high top black boots, and a bull mask who was running towards him.

The bull masked man stopped right in front of Adam and quickly bowed towards Adam and Alice "Sorry for throwing the trident towards you it was my first time playing around with it and it's slipped away from my hand I'm really sorry."

"It's okay I managed to dodged it," Adam answered as he looked towards the bull masked man who apologized a couple more times while bowing towards them.

"I'm really sorry but great job at dodging it that was a really good reaction. My name is Bull, I mean that's the code that was given to me by the system." Bull said as he extended his right arm towards Adam.

"I'm Lion nice to meet you Bull." Adam returned the handshake while both of them nodded towards each other and Bull smiled towards Adam.

"Nice to meet you too Lion, now I'm going to get out from your hair and go back there, once again really sorry for throwing this at you." Bull smiled as he pulled out the trident form the concrete with his left hand and ran back where he came from, he entered a place that has a large blue sign with a picture of a wave on it and disappeared inside the dark large room.

"He was definitely aiming for my head there, luckily I saw that trident flying towards here, are you okay Alice?" Adam asked as he looked towards Alice behind him who nodded.

"Yeah I'm okay and I was about to tell you about that, the most important thing that you need to know about the playground." Alice looked towards Adam who tapped his jacket as debris fell off it as he turned around towards Alice.

"You have to be very careful here because this is the only place in the Kingdom where weapons are allowed, you can bring your weapon everywhere but you can't use it beside inside the game or the playground. Weapons are allowed here because of training purposes and there are many many many occasions where a contestant died here, there were five contestants that died here last year so be very careful Lion." Alice explained while looking towards Adam who quickly nodded as dust stopped flying out from his jacket.

"Let's grab a brochure from the information table the brochure have every single thing about the playground on it, plus I have to take care of that," Alice said as she pointed towards the broken concrete tile that was right beside both of them, Adam nodded as both of them walked towards the large wooden round table and stopped right in front of it.

Alice grabbed a thick brochure that have Playground written in front of it from a small table stand that was in front of her and gave it to Adam "This brochure has listed every training places that are inside the playground it will tell you what's on every single floor here and the trainers that own those places, you can read that while I report the damage."

"Oh okay, thank you." Adam grabbed the brochure as Alice waved towards a woman who was wearing a red uniform who ran towards her from the other side of the circle, Alice talked with the woman who has a name tag on her right chest that says Bow while Adam stared at the brochure in his hand right beside her.

Adam opened the brochure and looked towards the list of contents inside the brochure "Wow they teach everything that a contestant needs for combat in the game but this is not what I need for my first game if the games are as big as the test area I need something else."

"Okay thank you very much Bow, just send the report to me and I will take care of that." Alice smiled as she slightly bowed towards Bow who bowed back to her, Alice looked towards Adam who is still on the first page of the brochure, and walked towards him.

"Why are you still on the first content page? What are you looking for there? Is there something specific that you're looking for Lion?" Alice asked as she stands right beside Adam and looked towards the brochure he was holding.

"Yes, there is something specific that I'm looking for. I'm looking for something to increase my mobility for the game but there's just so much other stuff here that doesn't have any connection to that. All of the things that I have seen here are just weapons and martial arts." Adam explained as he looked towards Alice.

"Mobility... Hmm, I think I know someone that can teach you that. I hope he's here today, he should be here today because he came back a week ago. Come with me, Lion!" Alice excitedly grabbed Adam's right hand and pulled him while running towards a large red metal staircase that was a couple of meters away from them.
