18 First Game

Adam puts on his bomber jacket and zipped it up to his neck as he walked towards his apartment entrance door, he took a deep breath and opened his apartment door. Alice was standing right in front of his door with both of her hands behind her and quickly turned around towards him "Are you ready Lion?"

"Yes, I'm ready." Adam smiled as he walked out of his apartment, both of them walked out of the elevator and saw a luxurious black sedan car parked right in front of Adam's apartment building.

"We're going to the game area with that car, come on let's go." Alice excitedly pointed towards the black sedan car while looking towards Adam who quickly nodded.

Adam entered the car and saw that there was no one on the driver seat, he slowly moved towards his left side and let Alice entered the car. Alice closed the car door and the car turned on on its own.

"That's cool," Adam said as the car turned around and drive down the hill, after half an hour of driving around Downtown-D the car stopped right in front of a black garage door that was on the side of a small house that slowly opened on its own.

The car went inside the garage and stopped right in the middle of it as the garage door behind it closed, the car shook for a couple of second as the ground underneath it shook. The ground slowly spins around and went downwards, Adam looked towards the walls that were around the car and noticed a couple of red lights on them while the car slowly descends.

He saw a large number that was drawn on the wall with red paint that says twenty-three as the car spins a full circle he saw another number that says twenty-four "Are those numbers indicates which level we are in?"

"Yes Lion and we will be going down for a while," Alice answered while looking towards Adam who turned his head around towards Alice.

"What is the lowest level in this hole?" Adam asked as he leaned back to the soft leather chair.

"The lowest level currently is one hundred and twenty thousand," Alice answered.

"It goes that far? That is insane, wow!" Adam exclaimed as the car stopped, he quickly looked towards the window beside him and saw the number thirty-five was drawn on the wall.

PEEP! PEEP! PEEP! The car horn played a couple of times as the wall in front of it went forwards and split into two revealing a long and wide tunnel that has bright yellow lights in the middle of the roof every couple of meters, the car went inside the tunnel and the opened hole behind them closed on its own.

Half an hour passed by and the car stopped in the middle of the tunnel beside a large metal double door that was painted in blue on the left side of the car that has a huge number one in the middle of it that was painted in red.

Adam opened the car door and walked out of the car, he turned around and wait for Alice to walked out form the car. Adam closed the door and the car honked three times before it leaves Adam and Alice in front of the large metal door.

"Let's go inside Lion." Alice smiled as she walked toward the door and knocked on it three times, the large door opened to its sides on its own as Adam and Alice walked inside of it.

Adam looked around the place as he stands in front of the door that closed on its own with Alice right beside him. It was a large and crowded lounge area that was filled with contestants. Adam looked straight ahead and saw a small and empty wooden stage right on the opposite of the entrance.

He looked towards his left side and saw a couple of dozens of large colorful couches that were scattered around with a sign in front of it that says waiting area, he looked towards his right side and saw a couple of long tables that were filled with every cuisine in the world that has a sign in front of it that says buffet.

"Are you hungry Alice?" Adam asked as he looked towards Alice who was looking around the buffet, Alice quickly turned her head towards Adam and shook her head.

"No I just like seeing all the food that the game has prepared for all of the contestants, it's very rare to see this many cuisines in one place. Are you hungry Adam?" Alice asked while looking towards Adam who shook his head.

"Me neither I already had some breakfast early in the morning, let's go to the waiting area and sit there," Adam said as he turned around towards the waiting area while looking towards Alice.

"Sorry," Adam said as he bumped into a tall man with a drum belly that was roughly three times the size of him who was wearing a brown leather jacket that has a couple of nails sticking out on his arms, a purple shirt underneath it, and a pig mask that was colored in green.

"Use your eyes kid and what's a kid doing here anyway aren't you afraid of dying?" The green pig masked man asked and laughed while looking towards a man that was right beside him who was slightly taller than him. The tall and drum belly man was wearing a black leather jacket that has a couple of nail sticking out on his shoulder, a brown shirt underneath it that have a couple of holes near his chest, and a pig mask.

"Stop bothering him he said sorry that should be enough right?" Bull tapped the green pig masked man shoulder while standing behind him, the pig shrugs off Bull's hand and walked towards the buffet while bumping into Adam.

"Pfft playing the hero here see you later loser make sure to stay alive in there so we can kill you with our own hands, and you too little kid." The green pig masked man said as he walked past Adam, Bull walked towards Adam and puts his hand on Adam's left shoulder.

"Don't kill them here it will be a waste, you can kill them later in the game when you meet them I won't stop you there. See ya, Lion." Bull tapped Adam's shoulder a couple of times as he walked towards the buffet.

Adam sighed as he slides both of his hands to the pockets of his bomber jacket and looked towards the small wooden stage on his right, he saw a man who was wearing a black suit and a blank black wooden mask who walked from the side of it and stopped right in the middle of the stage as a clear tube raised right beside him that quickly connected to the roof with a wooden stand that came out from the floor right in front of him "Contestants get ready for your first game, it will begin in fifteen minutes please scan your watch on this stand that's right in front of me before you enter the tube, the tube will bring you to your starting point in the game arena, Goodluck."

Alice looked towards Adam who was listening to the man and tapped Adam's shoulder a couple of times, Adam looked towards Alice who quickly pulled him to a corner of the room.

She reached into her right pocket with her right hand while pulling Adam's right hand with her left hand, she puts down something inside Adam's hand and looked towards him "Here Adam put this on your right ear."

Adam looked towards his right hand and saw a small earpiece on his hand, he puts the earpiece on his right ear and looked towards Alice "Reading all the messages from the live stream will decrease your focus so I will help you by reading the messages."

"Thank you I really appreciate that especially with what I'm going to do in this game." Adam smiled at Alice.

"What are you going to do on the game?" Alice asked while looking towards Adam with a confused face.

"I'm going for the secret of the game, okay here I go then." Adam smiled at Alice, he turns around and walked towards the wooden stage with Alice right behind him.

Adam walked up the stairs of the wooden stage and stands right in front of the clear tube, he looked towards the wooden stand right beside the clear tube and hovers his watch on top of the stand while looking towards the blank black mask man who was standing behind the stand.

"Contestant Lion, please enter the tube, and Good luck on your game." The man said while looking towards Adam, adam nodded towards the man and entered the clear tube.

The floor under Adam slowly raised and Adam looked towards Alice who was waving towards him, who he quickly waved back towards Alice as he disappeared into the roof of the lounge area. A light turned on above Adam and he quickly looked towards his surroundings, he was surrounded with darkness and he felt the floor moved on its own toward his right side. The tube that Adam was in moved around the darkness for a couple of minutes and stopped on its own in the middle of the darkness.

"Contestant Lion please extend your right hand right in front of you." A static voice coming out from the ceiling of the tube, Adam reached his hand out and a scroll that was inside a plastic tube fell to his hand.

Adam opened up the plastic tube and took out the scroll inside of it, he slowly opened the scroll and rolled it out with both of his hand "A human mated with an animal is a sin that must be eradicated from this world."

"Hello, Adam can you hear me?" Alice's voice came out from the earpiece on Adam's right ear.

"Ah yes I can hear you loud and clear, can you hear me, Alice?" Adam asked as he puts the scroll back to its tube and slides the tube to his right jeans pocket while looking around his tube.

"Yes, I can hear you loud and clear from here too," Alice said.

"The game will begin soon please get ready." A static voice came from the roof of the tube.

TING! A loud bell came from the roof of the tube as the floor under Adam slowly went upwards, Adam quickly looked upwards as the roof above him opened up to its sides.

The floor stooped moving as it connected with the floors around it and Adam instantly looked around towards his surroundings, he looked towards his back and saw a large wall of weather stone bricks behind him. He looked towards his right and left side as he saw a similar stone wall that has two torches right in the middle of them, Adam looked straight ahead and saw a long and wide tunnel ahead of him with the same torches that were on his left and right that have a couple of meters of distance between them "This... I must be at the end of a tunnel."

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Adam watch rang a couple of times, Adam looked towards it as it displayed one small line "Objective: find the exit of the labyrinth."

"So the secret must be the-"

GROOOOOOOOO! Adam turned his head towards the tunnel in front of him as he heard a loud and deep roar echoed through the labyrinth that shook the ground that he was standing on "Minotaur."
