8 Eighty Eight

Alice inserted the bronze key into the door and turns the key towards her right side, she opened the door and looked towards Adam who was staring at the door that slowly swung open.

"This is your apartment for your stay in the Kingdom." Alice pointed towards the inside of the apartment as the lights turned on by itself when the door fully opened.

Adam entered the apartment and looked around the large apartment that has a living room right on the opposite side of the entrance door, a large kitchen on his right side, and a hallway that was on the opposite side of the living room which has a couple of wooden doors inside it.

Adam took off his shoes and walked towards the living room of his apartment with Alice behind him who walked towards the hallway that was right behind Adam, she opened one of the wooden doors and looked towards Adam who was still looking around the living room "This is your bedroom."

Adam turned around and walked towards Alice who entered the bedroom, he stands right beside Alice and looked towards the bed that has a couple of items on top of it.

He saw his white case that was sitting on the end of the bed, a set of clothing with a pair of shoes on top of it besides it, and a small diamond-shaped wooden box right beside it that was near the edge of the bed. Alice walked towards the edge of the bed and grabbed the diamond-shaped wooden box, she opened the wooden box and took out a large diamond-shaped light blue metal that has clear glass in a shape of a diamond right in the middle of it.

"This is your new mask for the game it will wrap itself around your neck and will cover your head," Alice explained as she gave Adam the diamond-shaped metal.

"Wow, that sounds cool can I try it?" Adam asked as he grabbed the mask from Alice's hand with his right hand, he took a closer look at the mask while moving it around his hand and noticed small writing on the glass part of the mask. He squinted his eye and saw that his name was etched in the middle of the glass part of the mask.

"Yes, you can use it please align the glass that's in the middle of the metal to the nape of your neck and the mask will instantly wrap itself around your neck covering your entire head," Alice explained as she pointed towards the glass of the mask.

Adam nodded as he took off the white mask that he was wearing with his left hand, he dropped his white mask from his hand as he lined up the glass part of his new mask to the nape of his neck. As soon as the cold glass hits Adam's nape all the sides of the mask opened up on its own and wrapped itself around Adam's neck.

A bright light came out from the back of Adam's mask as a large patch of thick light brown fur grew out from it that instantly grew all over Adam's mask and covered his head with it, Alice looked towards Adam and gave him a thumbs up "Wow that really really suits you."

Adam looked towards the corner of the room that has a large mirror on the wall and walked towards it, he looked towards the reflection of himself and saw his head that was covered with a lion head. He slowly moved his head around while staring at his reflection "Wow this is amazing! It looks like a real lion head and look it can even follow my mouth movement!"

Adam reached to the fur that was near his neck and starts brushing it with his hand, as he brushed the fur a couple more times he turned his head and looked towards Alice who stands behind him "Wow this feels like a real lion fur."

"Yes that is the technology of the mask, it will feel very real and it will cover your face but it won't disturb your view at all. It will feel like you are not wearing a mask, that mask will help in your games and your day to day life here in the Kingdom it will display all the information that you need," Alice explained as she looked towards Adam who was still brushing the fur that was near his neck.

"Yeah you're right it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a mask at all, can I touch my face under the mask?" Adam asked as he tried to touch his face that was under the mask, his hand instantly sunk inside the mask and touched his face that was underneath it.

"The mask can detect anything that's coming towards it from every angle and it will allow your hand to get through it, so if you want to eat or drink it will allow you to do so. It has been created in a way that will not bother the contestants." Alice explained while looking towards Adam.

"Now your first game will take apart within a week from tomorrow if you have any questions I will be in my apartment room number eighty-nine right beside your apartment, I will leave your apartment now and give you some time to rest see you tomorrow morning Adam." Alice slightly bowed towards Adam as she left Adam in his room who bowed back towards Alice, Adam turned his head back towards the mirror and moved his head around.

"Wow, it looks just like what I saw on the games amazing." Adam smiled as he grabbed the mask from his nape, it turns off and turns back into its diamond shape.

Adam puts down the mask to a table on the side of his bed along with the Bowie knife that he got from the test area, he walked towards his white case that was sitting on his bed and opened it "Time to take a shower."

Adam grabbed a set of clothes from his white case and walked towards a wooden door that was right in front of his bedroom, a couple of minutes passed by as Adam went out of the bathroom with a green towel on his head.

He walked back inside his bedroom and puts down his large white case beside his bed, he looked over towards the set of clothes that were in the middle of his bed and picked up the pair of dark green high top sneakers that have a golden crown in the middle of its tongue "Wow these are some high-quality shoes can't wait to wear this."

Adam puts down the shoes on the wooden floor right beside him and grabbed the set of clothes that was sitting on his bed. The set of clothes was consist of a large green bomber jacket that has a small golden pin on its left chest that was in a shape of a lion head, an orange sweatshirt underneath it that have courage written in the middle of it that was done in graffiti, and a black pair of jeans below it "Wow they have a great taste I can't wait to wear this too."

Adam smiled as he hanged the set of clothes on the handle of his bedroom door while he walked out of his bedroom, he walked towards the kitchen grabbed a large bag of chips and a can of soda from the small island in the kitchen that was filled with all kind of snacks and drinks "They gave me a lot of foods that's really nice of them."

Adam walked towards the living room while opening the large bag of chips and sat down in the middle of the red couch while staring at the television in front of him, he grabbed a black remote that was on top of the glass table right in front of him and pressed a green button that was at the top of the remote.

The television turned on and the news came up, Adam watched the news while grabbing a handful of chips from the bag "What a day, I killed ten people and now I'm here eating a bag of chips while watching the television."

Adam finished the bag of chips and the can of soda as he turns off the television, he threw the empty bag of chips and can of soda into a trash can as he went inside his room.

"What a wild day time for rest," Adam mumbled as he walked towards his bed.
