7 Downtown-D

The train doors opened on their own as Alice stands up from her chair, Adam followed Alice and stands upright beside her who quickly looked towards him "Adam there are a couple of things that you need to know before you walked out from this train door."

"First don't take off your mask until we arrived at your apartment, second never tell your name to anyone that you meet here until you got your code from the system tomorrow, and third stay close to me because Downtown-D is a really big and busy place I don't want to lose you on your first day. Do you understand?" Alice explained while looking towards Adam who nodded towards her.

"Yes but I have one question, Alice," Adam said as a loud bell came from a couple of black small speakers that were on the corners of the train's roof, Alice quickly looked towards Adam and grabbed his right hand as she ran out from the train.

The bell that was playing inside the train stopped as Alice and Adam jumped out of the train, the train doors suddenly closed and the train left the train station.

"Sorry for pulling you out from the train, that bell sound that you heard inside the train means that it has converted back to a normal train that's why it left the station," Alice explained as she lets go of Adam's hand and looked towards him who nodded.

"Oh, it's okay now why is there a D behind the downtown?" Adam asked as he pointed towards a large blue sign that was hanging on the roof a couple of meters in front of him with Downtown-D written on it in white.

"The D on Downtown-D means that it's the fourth Downtown that was created on the Kingdom, there are eighteen similar Downtowns on the Kingdom we need that much towns because of the number of contestants that participates The Kings Game keeps raising every decade," Alice explained while looking towards Adam.

"Oh okay, thank you." Adam smiled as he looked towards Alice who smiled back towards him.

"Now let's go to your apartment it will be a fifteen-minute walk from here to your apartment so let's go." Alice excitedly pointed towards a staircase that was a couple of meters in front of them.

Alice quickly walked towards the staircase with Adam right behind her who was looking around towards the people that are standing around the small train station.

"There's a lot of people around here and why none of them are wearing a mask?" Adam thought to himself as he followed Alice who ran up the stone staircase.

"Now welcome to Downtown-D!" Alice shouted as she turned around towards Adam and stands right in front of the train station with both of her hands wide open with a large city view behind her.

"Wow this is a massive city! Look at that amazing sunset behind you Alice!" Adam exclaimed as he pointed towards a bright orange sun that was right behind Alice's head.

"Yeah the sunsets on the Kingdom are always perfect along with its sunshine and weather plus there's no rain in the Downtowns! come on let's go to your apartment." Alice smiled as she turned around and walked towards a large stone path that has a lot of people walking around it.

Adam quickly followed Alice who walked towards a zebra crossing that has a couple of people walking through it, Adam catches up to Alice and walked on her right side "Hey Alice what do you mean by there's no rain in here is there such a magical place like that in the world?"

"Oh no, we're not in a magical place there is no place that won't get rained on in this world. Do you remember your test area?" Alice asked as she looked towards Adam.

"Yeah, I remember it was a large dome that has tons of light on the walls that tried to mimic the sunlight why?" Adam asked as both of them took a left turn and walk on a straight stone path, with a long line of buildings on their right side that have a couple of stores on their first floor and a busy street with cars passing by on their left.

"Well we are in a similar place like your test area right now but this dome is the more advanced version of the dome that you were in and it's a couple of hundred times bigger than the one you were in," Alice explained as she pointed towards the sky above them.

"Wait really? We're inside a dome right now? But it doesn't feel like we're inside a dome it feels like we're outside, this is amazing!" Adam smiled as he looked upwards towards the orange sky.

"I know right! That's the magic of the Downtowns dome they're the most realistic thing in the world." Alice added as both of them took a right turn, Adam looked towards his right and left as he saw a row of restaurants on the street sides that have tables and chairs right in front of their stores that was filled with people eating together.

"Look it's going to be dark soon let's walk a little bit faster so we can arrive at your apartment before it's dark." Alice looked towards Adam who quickly nodded as both of them walk a little bit faster through the busy streets.

"Look your apartment is up that hill we are really close now." Alice pointed towards a tall hill that has rows of similar-looking apartment buildings that were painted with different colors.

"Which one is my apartment building?" Adam asked as both of them walked up a small stone path that was on the side of the hill.

"That one the dark green building the second one from the top." Alice pointed towards a tall apartment building that was a couple of meters in front of them as both of them slowly walked towards it.

"Here we are your apartment building now let's go to your room, it's on the fourth floor," Alice explained as both of them walked inside the building and walked towards an elevator that was right in front of the entrance.

Alice clicked on the only button beside the elevator door that has an orange arrow in the middle of it that was pointing upwards as the elevator doors opened on its own, Alice and Adam went inside the elevator and Alice quickly pressed a button on the side of the elevator that have number four on it.

"Will there be other contestants that will live inside this building?" Adam asked as he looked towards Alice, who turned her head around and looked towards him.

"Yes there will be a couple of other contestants that live in this building but they won't live on the same floor as you, and for now you're the only one that will be living in this building because they're still filling up the other Downtowns," Alice answered as the elevator stopped and the door opened up.

"Come on let's go." Alice walked out of the elevator with Adam behind her, they slowly walked through a hallway that has a red carpet on. Alice stopped right in front of a door that has a golden sign with the number eighty-eight in the middle of it while reaching her right hand into her suit pocket and took out a small bronze key that has a round keychain with the number eighty-eight in the middle of it.
