2 Waking Up!

"... After the incident that happened to you and your family in 2018, which took the life of your parents, you've been in coma (A period of prolonged unconsciousness brought on by illness or injury.) for 5 years, since then you're just waking up..." the Doctor said as he moved forward toward me.

The bad news had me again, loosing my parent wasn't what i planned for. I could feel cold tears running down my cheeks as i stood there helplessly, staring at the Doctor, he held me by the shoulder, we both sat at the edge of the bed, i kept watching his lips as he spoke, not listening and wasn't hearing anything he said, all i could see was his lips in motion...

"What about my little sister?..." i said silently as i cut into the discussion...

"What did you say?.." he asked with a sick eye...

"Where is Akane, my little sister?..." this time i was loud even the person at the door could hear my voice.

"That... that (stammering) i can't tell..." he said as he looked at his wristwatch and stared back at me.

"Why?... what happened to her? Where is she? How is she doing?..." i asked hoping to get some good news...

"Calm yourself, she is fine, but...." i was so excited hearing that, didn't even let him finish before cutting in.

"Where is she?... i want to see her, what does she look like?..." i asked different questions, "she must have grown bigger..." i thought to myself with a warm smile on my face. Then the Doctor broke in "we don't have an actual location where she is, but we believe she is fine..." he smiled looking at me...

"Did he just say they don't know where she is? Believe... Believe..." i thought.

"How's that even possible, you don't know where she is, and you're making yourselves believe she is fine..." i couldn't hold myself back, i yelled at him crying and hitting his chest... What a great loss i was into. He held my hands as i was about hitting his chest again, i paused and looked at him, he was looking directly at me.

"We were told a family of four had an accident on 17th December 2018, but on getting to the scene, three bodies were found, we asked most of the crowds that had gathered around about the fourth person, non had seen the body, but they testified they saw four bodies before our arrival, except a boy who said he saw a man on black robe and a wide hat take the fourth body. After several investigations on various suspect, which brought the same result the police announced that the case has been closed, because there wasn't any reason investigating and always getting negative result..." the Doctor said as he dropped my arms on my laps. I was again in a shock to hear that, my eyes were cold, my mouth seemed too heavy, i left them open and my ears kept ringing...

"So you mean my little sister was taken and you believe she wasn't killed?.."

"Yes we do, because if he wanted to kill her, he would have done that the moment he got there..." I stared at the nurse behind him, she has that smile of Akane whenever i stare at her...

"Oh apologise Aiko, i didn't give a proper introduction, i am Dr Akamaru Dōichi and she is my nurse Hakura Gen, we work together...."

I looked at both of them, they seem nice to me...

"And again we would carry out some test on you later, so we can guarantee your discharge," he said as he stood up to take his leave, "was nice talking to you Aiko and you should get back to rest now" he added as he turned. As they got to the door he turned smiling at me and said, "don't worry you can stay with me, my sister can take care of us". He has a sister? i thought. They both left the ward and shut the door...

I looked through the window and down the building, it was a peaceful day, the hoofing of the cars, people walking up and down the road, i looked up and stared at the sun...

"I have to find Akane, i have to! and i will!" i said to myself....
