"What can I do? I guess I attract troublemakers," he shrugged.

"Stop saying that like it's a good thing," he grumbled.

"I guess I have main character charm."

He rubbed his face with a sigh as he listened to him talk excitedly as if he were smug. He knew that if he hadn't known Heatchliff was so talented despite his strange behavior, he would have killed him already.

"Hey, why didn't you show up this weekend after I waited so long for you?"

Perez spoke on the phone with Cale, depressed that he had been stood up. Cale blinked, having just remembered that he and Perez were going to see Reyna this weekend.

"Oh, I forgot about that," he smiled sheepishly.

"I already figured that out," he grumbled. "Anyway, why didn't you come?"

"Olivia Duncan invited me to dinner. I went to her house."

"Wow! A special invitation from Olivia Duncan, SSS rank!" he said and nodded in appreciation. "Why did she invite you?"
