9 Chapter 9

UNEDITED-

"Are you ready?" Bea asked anxiously.

"....yes"

Bea adjusted the settings and posted the baton through the door.

"ARGGGGG" Annabelle dropped to her knees, every muscle in her body tensed up like before, the baton touched her skin for 3 seconds but the electricity stayed for many more.

It burned its way across Annabelle's body lighting up all her nerves, until the burning started in her core. The electricity faded but the fire in her core had just begun. She groaned in pain as it spread to every inch of her body.

"It's okay Annabelle, let it in" came a soothing voice from Bea. "It is you, and you are it" she said trying to reassure Annabelle.

Annabelle really was trying to calm her mind, but watching her fingernails fall out and be replaced by black bloodied claws wasn't helping.

Her body began to contort, bones cracking and resetting, her screams became low whimpers, her skin stretched and ripped over her new muscles, dropping in droopy piles on the floor, being replaced by glossy black feathers... the fear overtook her and her mind.. again.. went blank.

When someone is disconnected with their wolf for a long period of time it's very bad, it can often lead to a ferrel wolf which are very violent and kill anything they see. Mainly kids who grew up in crappy situations lead to these, as when they are growing up they aren't taught how to control it or accept it.

It's usually a pretty good reflection of how they feel inside. They have a unique scent, Bea smelt one on Mav and Annabelle the day the came in but assumed it was one of the men that attacked them. Now it was clear Annabelle was the feral wolf, only she was much bigger than Bea had anticipated.

This basement has locked up many Lycan men over the years, this place used to be her father's before he gave it to her. He used this as the conversion therapy room.

Thats why she thought this room would be perfect, now she was not so sure.

The wolf that was Annabelle slowly stood up on its hind legs, eyes like fiery embers in the dark, analysing the two girls. Bea and Mav both sensed the dominant presence of a male wolf, If they weren't stood here like this, they could be smelling an alpha.

The wolf began growling quickly realising it was in trapped in chains, it lunged forward snapping it's teeth at the girls ferociously. Mav and Bea jumped back from the bars frightened.

"Annabelle, it's me Bea!, come on I know your in there" Bea tried to calm it but to no avail. It lunged forward again with more power this time causing a crack in the cement holding a chain on the wolf's arm.

"Mav we need to go, NOW!... get out, GO!" Bea was panicking now for the first time in a long time, regretting having ever suggested this in the first place. She didn't panic in fights against people twice her size but this was different. She really underestimated the gravity of the situation.

Just as the door was about to close behind them Bea caught a glimpse of the wolf ripping one of the chains that was wrapped around it's arm out of the wall. It took everything in them not to roll over and submit.

Mav and Bea left the room and locked the door behind them. Luckily The King had a few fail safes in place if a prisoner ever escaped. "These doors can withstand bombs dear sister, don't worry" Bea said not sure if she was reassuring Mav or herself.

All Mav and Bea could do was listen to the metal breaking as the wolf freed himself from the chains and the crashes of rubble falling to the floor. Soon after one loud crash was heard, they both knew what it was. The wolf blew the cage door off. Then the banging started on the door they were leaning against.

"What do we do, tell me what to do?!" Mav asked Bea frantically. Dust started coming from the hinges of the door, more with each blow. They stepped away from it. Bea needed to think fast.

"We need to get everyone out of the way, we're in the middle of nowhere right, so if we direct it outside, no one should get hurt" Bea said looking somewhat pleased with herself.

By Mavs reaction she could tell Mav wasn't impressed. "It's the best I could come up with, we don't have long, you got anything better?" This excuse has done her well so far.

"No but what if someone sees a Lycan in the woods huh?" Mav said not taking her eyes off the door.

This door leading to the basement was only one corridor away from a door that lead straight outside into the woods. But on the way there were four doors it could choose to go through instead. Like this one though it would take a few minutes for the wolf to break through. Hopefully it only wants to be free and isn't looking to just kill things.

The loud banging attracted some of the guards, including Griff. They could tell whatever was locked up must be extremely powerful to have already broken free from the cell.

"Griff, get everyone to the left wing, the servants, guards, everyone Now! the rest of you lock every door in this room and that corridor. Make sure the outer doors are wide open. After join the others in the left wing. Quickly!" Bea commanded.

Griff looked at Bea puzzled along with the rest of the guards but quickly ushered them to to do as she said. It took only a minute for the guards to get everything done before leaving.

The door only had a few more inches to go, instead of the door breaking open, the whole doorframe was coming out of the solid concrete. "Mav we need to go too!" Bea said dragging Mav away from the door.

"What if we loose her?" Mav asked looking sorrowful at Bea, she was frightened for own safety but it was in Mavs nature to care for others.

"We will find her okay, I promise, Now let's go!" with reassuring words from her sister, Mav reluctantly took Bea's hand and left the room closing another huge door behind them. They stayed there waiting for any noise that indicated what was happening.

A few more bangs and another loud crash was heard ringing through the walls. "This is not normal Mav" Bea finally vocalised. Mav looked at Bea as if to say 'ya think'.

"I know nothing about this is normal, but seriously, I've studied almost every legend or ancient text and don't remember anything like this. This kind of strength is unheard of... maybe she can help them" Bea said with a little hope in her voice.

"Bea, your getting ahead of yourself again. Your lack of patience is what brought us here. First we need to get Annabelle back, then we need to find an actual way to help her since this was a catastrophic failure!" Mav was annoyed that Bea could even be thinking of putting Annabelle in harm's way on purpose.

After 5 minutes of what sounded like pure destruction going on in the next room, the two heard the giant wolves footsteps fade as he made is way out of the house.

They waited another minute to be sure it was gone before opening the door. When they did both of their mouthes dropped open. "Are you fucking kidding me" Bea said as she walked over to her favourite painting which was now laying on the floor with huge slash marks tearing the canvas.

"Now who is the vulgar princess?" said Mav trying to make a little light of the situation, it's easy to be mad and hurting, unless someone you care about is mad and hurting.

"Whatever" Bea huffed as she inspected the rest of the room in which broken chairs and tables littered the floor, the walls were filled with holes, and even had a few things sticking out of them, parts of a chair and a statue.

A few minutes later a guard burst into the room. "We've sent for backup your majesty, don't worry, we will catch the beast" He said proudly.

Only a few of Beas trusted guards knew that Annabelle was a Lycan, the rest of the guards weren't loyal to Bea but to the crown so they could open their mouths and put Annabelle in danger.

They needed this to be quite for as long as possible, to come up with a plan or something.

It seems fate has a new plan that includes a guard on the way to the King requesting backup against a powerful beast that had broken out of a prison that even strong Lycan men couldn't escape.
