8 The boy who learned

A week had passed since Harry had accidently used his magic to breath those golden flames and set Dumbledores beard alight and it had also been a week since Harry had woken up after McGonagall had accidently sent Harry flying with her drunken Aguamenti spell, Snape was worried about his adopted son even after being told that Harry would sleep upto two weeks after the impact he made with the shelves.

It was currently holiday time at hogwarts so Snape was able to stay and care for Harry as much as he could at the same time as marking any schoolwork and keeping his businesses in check. Dumbledore and McGonagall came over multiple times to see how Harry was doing, McGonagall going as far as to bring many a gift for Harry one of which was a detailed collection of individual books written by McGonagall herself on each spell for the first year at hogwarts for when he woke and apologised profusely to Snape again and again about what happened, Snape snapped at her but as angry as he was at the time accepted her apologies and forgave her everytime she did, he had no reason to stay angry at her it was an accident and at the time she was trying to help stop the fire.

The three hogwarts professors were sitting in the sitting room having tea when they all heard a surprised scream come from Harry's room, Snape was the first up and running and he was quickly followed by both Dumbledore and McGonagall into Harry's room where they saw Snape hugging Harry with all his love and affection showing and tears streaming down his face, he kept letting go of Harry and moving his head around looking for any marks or bruises and then pulling him into a hug again. What Snape didn't know or bother to ask was why Harry screamed when he woke up.

'Curse: Voldemort's soul shard = 20% better magic control and the language parsletongue. This soul shard allows the victim to speak to snakes and have more control over there magic, but it also affects there emotions and allows the one who cursed them to peer Into his/her mind'

'Blessing: A mothers love = +25% experience to all protection and healing magic. This blessing is given when a mother makes the ultimate sacrifice for her child, this blessing makes it easier to learn any skill or magic which is used to protect or heal himself or another'

So many noises and too much information was flowing into Harry's head given him and shock and a very nasty headache. Then Snape flew into his room and gave him the tightest hug he'd ever had and to top things off Snape kept moving Harry's head around making the already painful headful much, much worse.

"Please stop father" Harry asked Snape with tears in his eyes "my head really hurts and your hurting it more" Harry had to physically push Snape away as much as he could due to his small stature whilst trying not to burst into tears due to the pain he was in. Hearing this Snape quickly ran out the room as fast as he entered it and all that was heard was the clanking and smashing of bottles and vials before Snape came crashing back into the room and handed Harry a small vial.

"Sorry Harry here drink this it help ease the pain" Snape told Harry sitting on the bed and taking deep breaths to try and calm himself "I was so worried Harry youve been asleep for a week and I just got so happy when we heard you wake up" he looked down at the floor embarrassed about acting so childish in front of Harry and coworkers. Snapes face lit up whne he thought of something and stood up and left the room with his normal long strides.

"Harry I'm sorry for what happened, I never meant to hurt you, I was really drunk and shouldn't have used a spell even if I ws trying to help" McGonagall told Harry from her chair and Harry could see the honesty and hurt in her eyes "ill make it up to you, I have your father some books for you to learn theory from when your older and if you ever need help understanding anything you can always send me an owl, but Dumbledore and myself have to go right now, I'll see you soon harry" before Dumbledore could respond or even get a word in she had pulled him up and dragged him to say farewell to Snape.

After ten minutes of hushed talking and the usual sound the floo network makes snake walked into Harry's room carrying a tray of food and juice.

"Here eat up son you must be starved after a week of not eating" placing trays over Harry's knees Snape sat down on the chair beside the bed and spoke to Harry "You know Harry you had the scariest awakening I've ever seen and we checked your body while you were unconscious only to find that your magic core is as big as a first year's, so guess what" Harry looked up at Snape with a mouthful of food and thought for a second before shrugging his shoulders in confusion with a slight sad look on his face. "No need to be sad Harry it just means I'm going to start teaching you earlier whenever I get the chance to, but you can't tell anyone, we'll not yet anyway and here I'll let you read these books Minera gave you" Snape pulled the collection of thin books from the chest at the bottom of the bed and placed them on the bed side cabinet "Now when you finished eating try and get abit more sleep as its quite late okay" Snape stood up and gave Harry a kiss on his forehead and left the room closing the door behind him.

Still eating Harry reached over a picked up one of the books before his mouthed opened wide and the food fell out.
