The Nemesis Protocol

"How..." Was all he could mutter with hazy eyes, and heavy breaths. Viewing the destruction of his home, his world, his destiny; crushed his spirits. HE was supposed to be the hero, so how could this happen? A monster stood before him. One which he been warned of so long ago from fleeting voices which no longer existed. A purplish-black aura engulfed his world, making it impossible to see, however, he knew it was him. But how could he, who was God of all things, lose to a mortal? With his last thought and final gasp for life, his eyes slowly closed. --- "Well... that's it." A weary voice echoed in the endless mist hued purply-black. "I've done it... I achieved it!" He screamed, trying to find some sort of triumph, cheers, congratulations from the beyond... yet all which responded were screams, pleads and curses which never left his ears. "Why do I feel so empty?" He asked himself. "Why... did she have to..." "I wonder... Hunger? Can I ever return back? To the time before I exterminated the world?"
